Good rifle, was very pleased with my purchase.
A Tack Driver
Review by Val on 10/6/2014
I purchased this gun from another place but it is the same gun and the same manufacturer.

I took it to the range with 11 brands of ammo (see the video). At 100 yards practically all ammo shoot within 3" groups. The best brands Hornedy and Brown Bear shot less than 1", TulaAmmo 124gr HP and Sellier & Bellot SP shoot about 1.25". Since I screwed up the Hornedy test (two groups overlapped) I went again to the range and shoot a 0.5" group with Hornedy V-Max. The first test is on the video, I will soon post the second test. You have the right to not believe me. I would not have believed either. However these are the facts: AK 47 is capable of shooting 0.5"-1" groups consistently with the right ammo at 100 yards. It is the barrel. I have another AK (Zastava Yugo M77 in 308). Same barrel but 20" long. Very similar results. The video of testing that gun is also on the youtube.

Enjoy your weapon folks. You cannot find a better gun than this.
You'll be happy
Review by Alessandro on 3/30/2014
This is the first AK pattern rifle I have ever purchased, and I'm glad I did. The condition of the rife is superb, and ascetically, very pleasing. The bluing was flawless and scratch free, sights straight, and folding stock sufficiently stiff to ensure no future slop. The compact folded nature of the rifle is great & very easy to tote.

When using US Palm, or Bulgarian magazines, the fit is very snug and solid. The provided Tapco magazine had a bit of play (a few mm if that) and doesn't bother me at all – it's the same as my Olympic Arms AR with any magazine.

The rifle came with some cleaning tools that I haven't bothered to figure out yet, a cool little retro brass oil can – which I filled up with gun oil; it works. The provide sling was physically functional, but it smelled like it had been soaked in diesel, and then molded for a few years. I ran it through the washing machine with a cup of bleach, but could not get rid of the smell. It was tan anyways and I had an extra black one that matches better anyhow.

I had imagined that it would be difficult to get good accuracy due to the thin stock. Wrong. I was able to make a fine cheek weld just like my Uncle Sam taught me and zero it to 300m with cheap Wolf ammo in 4 attempts. It would have been three, but I adjusted the elevation backwards the first time. The recoil was unremarkable, and the shoulder rest comfortable. The gun ate up 200 rounds on the first day with no complaint. I am a satisfied customer & would recommend the rifle to friends.

Have fun shooting,

A.
Quality Firearm

My first AK purchase. Quality rifle at an affordable price. I plan on doing business with Classic Firearms again
good enough
Review by toe on 3/6/2014
Good gun for the price. I haven't got the chance to fire it yet. Maybe later this spring.
Wait for this gun to be back in stock and order yourself one. Ammo for these guns are cheaper than .223 actually, so I got this as my first rifle.
I plan to get another Yugo, but the actual full size w/ chrome line barrel.
Very nicely made AK.
Review by Paneerdog on 1/17/2014
Some of the best workmanship, fit and finish you will find on an AKM-type rifle. Functioning has been flawless with several hundred rounds of mil-spec ammo. Added bonus is the genuine Yugo steel mag with bolt hold-open follower. Can't go wrong with this one!
Great rifle for the price
Review by roman on 12/3/2013
Great rifle for the money, worked flawlessly with tapco mags and yugo mags; so-so with korean mags (bolt was scraping top of the mag which caused 1 or 2 partial fail to feeds). rifle came as advertised with 2 mags also a cleaning rod, oil bottle, sling and cleaning kit. out of the box rifle was shooting a bit low, but is easily corrected with ak sight adjustment tool.

rifle ran flawlessly while rapid firing and has very little recoil compared to the classic ak.

overall very happy with the purchase and will buy from classic again (most likely WW ak-74)
As advertised
Review by Paul on 2/28/2017
M70 AB2 came as expected, in good shape shooting straight as an arrow. Good fit and finish. Did not come with 2 magazines or a cleaning rod as advertised but Classic sent them out right away and already got them. Quick and easy and would buy another gun from them.
first glance
Review by Beardman on 5/29/2015
I upon receiving my rifle I note the weight this thing is a tank compared to other AK variants, and makes my Wasr 10/63 feel like a toy. the 1.5mm thick receiver and heavy us made barrel and RPK style trunion should make the gun last longer and even make it more accurate. the barrel is not chrome lined and while cleaning becomes more important accuracy should be improved do the the more defined rifling. finish is parkerized its good enough for me. the plastic handguards are ok I prefer the look of wood but they work and the black gives it a modern look. the Yugo pistol grip was a bit bulky for my hands so I swapped it for original style tapco pistol grip it fits my hand better and matches the hand guards better to IMO
the fit is better than I was expecting, having read a lot of trash talk online about Century builds. to my understanding Century outsources to other builders some are better than others.
aside from the rear sight tab being slightly twisted and that was an easy fix.
no canted sight blocks the muzzle break is not welded and the bayonet lug is in tact. no major flaws the rifle feels tight. (for an AK)
it was quite clean rite out of the box but I cleaned it you should always do with a new firearm. I lubricated with white lithium as per Rifle Dynamics.
everything fits quite well I like the button that holds the recoil spring in place and keeps the dust cover on. the dust cover itself could fit a little better but its not loose . the folding stock locks in place open or folded. the Tapco G2 trigger feels smooth and breaks cleanly without much force. at current AK prices $549.99 makes this rifle a great value !!! I wish I had ordered two of them.
I will continue or write another review after I actually shoot it :) im sure it will only get better after a couple hundred rounds.
awesome
Review by justin on 5/17/2015
Ordered this due to price and thought it looked neat. Took it to the range today and not only did it shoot within 2 inches at 50 yards with no adjustment (my eyes aren't what they used to be) a couple of shoots touched. And this was just tula ammo. Now for the real surprise.. it was ridiculously comfortable to shoot!!!! I was expecting some cheek discomfort but I can shoot this thing all day long!
One of the best AKs you can buy!
Review by Michael on 4/17/2015
I have owned my Yugo M70AB2 under folder for more than 2yrs now. I have changed up the look a few times from the OG polymer furniture w Tapco saw grip to adding a UTG Yugo quad rail, UTG bifold fore-grip, Hogue pistol grip, Sightmark reflex/red dot scope, w a 1.5-5x scope on a Burris flip to side mount. Can add a slide on recoil shoulder pad and a polymer cheek riser for my friends or dad when they go with me to the range. These toys make the rifle weigh in @ 10.5lbs with empty magazine. All of these are pictured in Heavy Armored! I have nerve damage in my left arm so after a year, I felt I wanted to make my Yugo a little lighter, but still liked my tactical toys, so I settled on Hogue grips w rail instead of the UTG quad, picked up a Texas Weapons System dog-tail Yugo dust cover (which is interchangeable with the Zastava M77PS .308) and took off my 1-5x scope/mount and went with a GG&G 5 aperture rangefinder which was made specifically for an AR15 and .223 55-65 grain ammo. I calculated the GG&G conversion to 7.62x39 122-123 grain, found that 0 aperture is still battle zero @ 20 & 200 yards, the 3 (300yds) converts to 275 yards on the AK, the 4 (400yds) converts to 330yds on the AK, the 5 (500yds) converts to 400 yds on the AK, and the 6 (600yds) converts to 500 yards on the AK. So I've got my distance zeroed for those specific ranges when co-witnessed through my Sightmark reflex sight. If my battery goes out in my Sightmark, I simply remove that and the GG&G irons, and revert to my Kel-Tec buckhorn or peep hole iron backup sights. Rifle weighs about 8.5 lbs. w empty magazine now and closer to 9lbs with the UTG bifold for grip. All of these are pictured in Light Weight look with my peephole bringing up the rear. I purchased some GITD ultra green paint from Glowinc. and painted the black dots on the original iron sights, as well as my Kel-Tec back up irons, and painted my own crosshairs on the peep hole sight and dipped my elevation front sight posts so that at night, just shine a flashlight to charge the paint and I've got my Tritium-like sights ready. I've run over 2500 rounds of Wolf, Tulammo, and Brown Bear through the Yugo, and haven't had any problems. Front sight was slightly canted, but it never bothered me, I set the irons and forgot about them as I started adding the toys on it. Shoots straight, reliable, more powerful than smaller AR15 rifles and you can add just as many toys to it as any AR15 owner if you want to. You can't go wrong with this rifle, and Classic Firearms is the best way to go!
worth every penny!
Review by Z2941 on 4/14/2015
If you go with a WASR or anything made by I.O. over this gun, you are a fool. You cannot beat the fit and finish of the Yugo at this price. Everything is tight and well constructed. There is no shotty worksmanship. It is a little heavy but its built like a tank. It shoots flawlessly and I'm sure I will be able to put thousands of rounds through it with now issue. Don't let the nonchromed barrel scare you off. It actually gives you better accuracy and just keep it clean when using corrosive ammo. I recommend wrapping the under folding stock with paracord so it is more comfortable for a cheek rest. It is definitely not an entry level AK but it is at an entry level price, so grab it. The only downside, depending on how you look at it, is the Yugo variants are more limited in customization due to how they make them. However, there are parts available to make it "tac-cool" and to upgrade.

good shootin rifle.
no malfunctions with all the wolf and silver bear i fed it (about 200 rnds)

was shooting low and to the left. about 20cm at 10 meters.
obviously needs to be sighted in.
also the refinish on this gun made night sight installation difficult and the safety lever and gas block take down were tighter than a....

has a full auto safety lever so be careful
Absolutely unstoppable

This is my first AK47. And with some help and research I came to Classic Firearms! Great customer service and my Yugo underfolder? I have put 300 rounds down range without a single problem! I've shot Tullammo, Hornaday and Red Army. It will eat anything. Even with my sub Par shooting skills I can hold a 5 inch group at 100 yds! Only thing I need to figure out is what AK I want next!

Outstanding Yugo AK Underfolder
Review by Fredrick on 3/5/2015
Fast shipping, Quality AK underfolder at a great price. I am never disappointed when dealing with Classic F. Thank you, with my kindest regards, Fred B.
Rock solid!
Review by MiL on 3/5/2015
At 8 lb 3 oz, my Zastava M70 AB2 is rock solid. No rattle, no wobble with Croatian mag, Korean mag or Tapco mag. Everything is super tight. In fact I have to use a mallet to pound the dust cover in place after removing it, Everything sparkling clean inside the receiver. Can't wait for warmer weather to take it to the range.
EXCELLENT Price Point
Review by TechED on 3/5/2015
One of two Zastava firearms recently purchased from "CLASSIC". The build quality is near excellent. The M70 AB2 is going through a conversion with a new UTG quad rail, muzzle brake, ATI scorpion pistol grip, red dot sight, and a other few extras. I purchased this carbine as a "tribute" build, in rememberance of a friend who passed....He owned the same M70 AB2. Overall, VERY PLEASED with the purchase.
Would buy again.
Review by Alan on 3/1/2015
First AK I have bought and first gun from Classic. Theres a couple of very small scratches on the underfolder from where it has rubbed up against something but other than that it's a lovely looking rifle well worth the money, nice straight front sight, no rattles apart from the magazines and then its only slight. Nice tight underfolder. Took advantage of the four extra mags with no additional shipping. Already swapped out the handguard for a wooden one I just don't like plastic on an AK. Classic kept me informed all the way, even telling me when it had been deliverd and who had signed for it. I did not have to track it myself although I did. I have no hesitation about ordering from Classic again. Thankyou Classic.

The rifle its self is a great buy its cheap and fires every time I'm very happy with it shipping was a little wonkey but I blame the snow storms all in all I love it thanks classic but for future buyers I gotta warn your best bet for mags are metal ones I ordered 4 extra tapcos and they are wobbaly to very wabbaly just a heads up on that the metal one fits snug as a bug.

Excellent, reliable accurate rifle
Review by William on 2/14/2015
Well, I took it to range today and ran 350+ rounds through it.

I had one stock magazine full of fmj and it ran perfectly. I then ran a steel mag of hollow point ammo, and it ran perfect.

I then went back to tapco mags with hollow point ammo ( it's all I have now), and I would get a jam ( bolt in rear position, had to hit bolt lever to release bolt and chamber a round) perhaps 2 times per 30 round mag.

I know that even an AK can be tight when new, so I continued on.

After a couple more mags, there was no problem at all, and it fired whatever I fed it, even dropped a few mags in the dirt, and fired as fast as I could pull trigger.

So, after an initial break in shooting session, this rifle is smooth, and for me personally, I find the folder stock to be quite comfortable.

Quality of construction is very high, and in my opinion, this is a great value from Classic Firearms, on a very heavy duty, quality rifle.

Highly recommended!

Review by Casey on 2/13/2015
The gun looks great tight fitting and smooth but does not have polished bolt carrier like the picture and some reason the grip was dirty but everything else was top notch the metal mag fit great the poly had some play but nothing to complain about overall satisfied with the gun.
Awesome Rifle

Great AK
Review by Rich on 2/7/2015
I wanted to take it to the range before giving a review. Shipped fast, received in excellent condition with the cleaning kit and rod. The only small complaint was the pistol grip which was ok but ugly compared to the rest of the rifle. Replaced with a Tapco and now this weapon is 100%. Ran 3 mags through it today with no issue, Tapco,Steel,Mag Pull. All fit tight but metal is the best. Very accurate out of the box, just shot a little high but small front sight adjustment fixed that. This a well built, tough AK that is not only fun to shoot but a solid performer. Another plus on the underfolder is there is no cheek slap whatsoever with a very comfortable firing position compared to the standard AK stocks. Classic is the best, thanks guys for a great AK at a great price!
Super Accurate, Very Tight Action
Review by slsteve on 1/27/2015
This is my third Yugo AK, I've recently purchased an Opap and Npap new, and although this AB2 is made with non matching numbers, it's better quality than eight of those. This rifle is so tight itcmakes no sound when shaking it. The underfolder is tight too. I was very nervous at first because the action was so tight that I feared it wouldn't cycle. I hand cycled a few clips and it failed to to feed a few rounds, but after the first two or three clips hand cycling (not firing) it ran smooth. Took it to the range and the sights were straight on, just required a little elevation change at 25yds. After that it shot a 1" group on the first clip. Everything operated perfectly during live fire and I couldn't be happier after firing it.
excellent rifle, A+ Customer service
Review by Monarkman on 1/26/2015
Just picked it up today, and am very impressed. Everything works very well. As a previous reviewer mentioned, the action is tight, so I will probably disassemble, clean and maybe polish some of the parts that rub, lube and go shooting.

Very solid package.

My second thought is to praise the good folks over st Classic Firearms for their IMPECCABLE customer service in taking care of an issue I had.

This is a great company comprised of good folks, who actually value their customers.

Thank ya'll........you have a customer for life!

Awesome service and turn around time
Review by Chris on 1/22/2015
Love Classic Firearms. Spot on job guys. Customer service was impeccable and the turn around time was superb. My AK was pristine and built like a tank. The quality of the build was evident when I took it out of the box and inspected it. I will buy from here in a heartbeat and tell all my friends to do the same. Thank you all
Solid AK, Great Price
Review by Brad on 1/15/2015
My only complaints with this AK is the plastic front hand guards/furniture, It just makes it seem a little cheap for such a solid, quality AK, they are very easy to change out and I installed a UTG quad rail and a folding foregrip, it makes it look much better and of course the ability to add on accessories. I also switched out the front compensator with a nice muzzle brake, helped out a lot with the muzzle rise. My other complaint is it has some trigger slap so when shooting a few hundred rounds my finger is a little sore but switching it out with a Tapco G2 double hook trigger will fix that. The sights on mine were quite accurate, no adjustments needed. Lastly the steel mags are a lot better fit and heavy duty, I just soak them in mineral spirits and clean the cosmoline off and then spray them with some Rem Oil, never had any feeding issues. I highly recommend this rifle, definitely a great buy, it is heavy duty and will shoot anything you feed it and a great price!
Pretty sweet (after break in)
Review by Chris the gunner on 1/4/2015
First off, thank you Gabriel @ classic firearms. Ok, this was my first AK and it came with no info on the gun, just the invoice. I took it out to the range and the action was so tight it wouldn't function properly. Apparently you may need to shoot this gun A LOT. I fired about 275-300 rounds before it loosened up. Now it's awesome.
I would definitely recommend this rifle, the fit and finish is excellent and the only thing I don't like is the hand guard. It's not heat shielded and any kind of rapid fire will make it too hot after about 30-40 rounds.
What a lovely, lovely thing.
Review by Adam the Human on 12/23/2014
Got it this morning, after a delay from UPS, yay Christmas time. Out of the box, it's a great looking, solid firearm. After a careful inspection, I noticed a miniscule amount of barrel corrosion, but other than that, no visible cant in sights, no obvious external defect, stock locks in both positions cleanly. Came with a nifty cleaning kit, a tapco and a steel mag. Overall, she's a beauty. Will post another after I take her out to eat up rounds.
Solid rifle at a great price
Review by GunPilot on 12/23/2014
I ordered this M70 Underfolder during the Black Friday sale a month ago and thought I'd leave the review after I had the chance to see it perform at the range. Shipping was fast considering the holiday season - I did a thorough check of the gun upon arrival, and fit and finish were above average for an AK-I've handled many in my line of work from various countries while overseas, and I am impressed overall with how solid this AK variant is. I wasn't a fan of the black plastic furniture so I swapped it out with wood and it looks great and handles heat much better. The flip up night sights were great, and I was able to order new tritium vials that fit the rifle perfectly for under $25.00. Finally, at the range this rifle functioned flawlessly and accuracy was on par with any I've shot. No misfeeds/malfunctions of any type with any brand of ammo I put in it. Overall outstanding value- I would recommend this rifle to anyone wanting a stout, solid performing AK variant. First time dealing with Classic, so far great experience with them - will be purchasing from this company again.
I LIKE this gun
Review by Mike on 12/4/2014
Delivered on time & everything arrived in good shape. This is my first AK so it took some familiarization before I was satisfied with this gun. First, this gun has one extra button that needs to be pushed, on the side, to get the dust cover off. Second, the trigger routinely failed to reset after firing a round & on the first trip to the range I was pushing the trigger back after every shot. The trigger was smooth & lite so I thought the spring was worn out, used parts you know. I scoured YouTube for more info. & realized the spring was bent & not applying pressure properly & bent it back into shape. The folding stock is solid & easy to use or I can shoot with it folded under like the pistol version. Fun to shoot & I Love the gun.
Excellent rifle

I ordered for Classic Firearms website and got it following week (Nov. 2014) --- I am very impressed the look and workmanship --- I am planning to take this baby to the Range and have a fun shooting it. Not shoot yet but base on the look – It would work great. I did shake it at the FFL gun dealer shop and inspected how the magazines fit – this ak came with good condition Steel Mag (not sure If it is new) and plastic mag ( I believe it wasTabco) --- no wobble both fit it like glove. I would recommend it ---- Solid got not loose parts everything fits and functions excellent.

Review by Rusty on 9/30/2014
Just got mine in today. After reading the previous reviews I was a little disappointed when I didn't receive an oil bottle or sling but I can't really complain because it didn't say that it was included in the description. But I will say that judging from the pictures I did expect a cleaning rod and didn't receive one of those either. Other than that the rifle arrived less than a week after I ordered it, so classic was very prompt in filling the order. After 200 rounds through it with no failures of any kind I'd have to say I'm pretty happy overall and will definitely be ordering from this site again.
Great AK
Review by Jason on 9/15/2014
This is my second firearm ordered from Classic Firearms. Both orders came as advertised. I was nervous about this being a Century Arms build due to some of the horror stories (canted sights etc). My underfolder came in flawless and as advertised. The serial numbers on the bolt group dont match but I expected that possiblity. I've put 200 rounds thru it without a hiccup. Great firearm.

Review by The Boss on 7/15/2014
This rifle came to my FFL in one day, but Im located only a state away. Overall the rifle is of great quality. I havent fired it yet but i know it will be a fun shooter. My only issues with the rifle are the muzzle break and the iron sights. The muzzle break will not screw on to allow the pin to pop to hold it on, so i haft to unscrew it one turn for it to pop on, this makes the muzzle kind of loose. the Iron sights look to be alittle crooked at the end of the barrel, but i think a sight correction thingamagig should fix it. Tapco mags shake alot but they still work.
Great SHFT Rifle.
Review by NICK on 6/29/2014
First I want to say that they sent me the AB2 and not the AB2T :). I have not taken the rifle to the range yet but from what I can see, I don't think I will have any trouble with it. Thanks classic firearms.......
Great rifle, sights need work
Review by Jordan on 6/22/2014
I bought this rifle a week or so ago from Classic, overall has a great finish and looks good. I finally got around to getting to the range, I had one round jam on me out of 60. Reliability is what you'd expect with an AK. As for accuracy, the sights on mine are way off. Mine shoots way low and way right, it does group pretty well at 25 yards considering I wasn't shooting off a rest. I can't tell for sure if my front sight is canted one way or another, but I plan on purchasing a front sight tool to adjust my sights and hopefully getting this bad boy on target. Overall I got what I paid for and I'm really happy with my purchase aside from the sights being way off, though that's an easy fix with a front sight tool.

Hi I just needed to add a review of this rifle I bought from Classic. The rifle they sent me is very good and meets or exceed all my expectations. But more than that I am greatly impressed by the service and help Classic have me on my first AK purchase.Due to my crazy work schedule I had to call them with some questions. The young lady who t talked to me and had prompt and helpful answers. The purchase went through without any problems. They delivered the rifle quickly and it arrived with everything adverse d in fine condition.I have had it to the range and it works like a champ.

So, I took this rifle directly out of the box, cleaned it, checked everything, loaded up the mags (one tapco one yugo BHO that was covered in grease) and blew threw 300 rounds in about 45 minutes with not a single malfunction and spectacular accuracy for an AK. Trigger is butter, stock locks up amazinglye, sights(including the flip up night sights which I love) are fine. I have now put a hogue handguard on, US palm battle grip, Attero arms mount w/ trijicon RMR, and Jtac 47 and I have to say out of every AK I have handled, owned, or still owned this one is the tops... CANNOT BEAT IT
sweet ak
Review by Terril on 4/6/2014
The ak arrived fast and was in great shape. The only problem I had was according to the item pictures, not customers pictures, it should have come with a sling and couple of other items and it only came with 2 mags and a cleaning kit. It also should have had a more sturdy box. There were several tears in the box and the weight of the gun needed a more secure package.
Great Gun Disappointing Extras
Review by Gilbert on 3/29/2014
The gun came in as promised and looked amazing but, the extras that came in with it besides the magazine were a little disappointing. The sling, cleaning gear and oil bottle were covered in a hard compact mold like grease. Other then that the gun performed amazingly and super reliable after 500 rounds there was no FTF or FTE. Definitely a great deal.

I have half a dozen other AKs, milled, thicker stamped, the RPK receiver, etc. This has functioned 100% with four different kinds of ammo, and the sights were as close to on as any out of the box AK I have purchased. I am 100% happy with this AK and the service from Classic.
Really impressed by this Century product
Review by Kenneth on 2/20/2014
This was my first purchase from Classic Firearms and I am really satisfied with the entire transaction. I received the Yugo underfolder about 3 weeks ago and was impressed by it's fit and finish. I was finally able to get out to the range yesterday and am now really impressed, it performed flawlessly.
I took it and a Russian Tula Arsenal SKS that was part of a batch that I had purchased direct from Century back in 1993 for $134.87 when I held a FFL. I had never fired the SKS and decided now was the time. I fired about 170 rounds thru the Yugo and about 120 thru the SKS with no FTF or FTE. Shooting a variety of surplus and recent manufacture Tula and even a box of Hansen posi-feed soft point from a batch that I got back in '94.
The Yugo was about 8" high from point of aim at 50 yards, I raised the front sight and got it to 2" above point of aim, windage was good. SKS was about 2" high so I left it there. The Yugo grouped just a little less than 3" overall at 50 yards. The Russian SKS was just a little better at 2 1/2". Moved out to 100 yards and they both were shooting 3"-7" groups with all ammo. The best groups were with the Hansen posi-feed averaging 3" in both guns at 100 yards. All shooting was with the original military iron sights with wind gusting to 35mph at my back using a Caldwell lead sled plus. .
For fun I started shooting a 22" square square iron plate at 200 yards. Once I figured the elevation out I hit it 6 out of 10 with the SKS and 5 out of 10 with the Yugo.
Next I did a little rapid fire at the 25 yard range and both rifles functioned flawlessly. For magazines, in the Yugo I had 2 surplus Yugo 30 rounders, a Tapco 30 rounder (these from Classic) and a 10 round metal double stack that I believe is Chinese that I got last weekend at a gunshow for $10, all did great at rapid fire.
I liked the Yugo underfolder fit and finish so much that I ordered a M70 B1 fixed fixed stock last week from Classic and am really glad that I did because they are now out of stock, sure hope it is as nice as the underfolder.
Thanks Classic, you remind me of a great company named Kimel Industries out of Matthews NC that I did a lot of business with back in the mid to late 80's when I ran a little gun business in Northern California (moved back to Texas and never looked back), keep up the good work.
Great Rifle
Review by MeMyselfAndI on 2/20/2014
The M70 is a really great rifle, I shot just over a hundred rounds and with not one issue. The reason I have bought this weapon is because I have yet to find anyone complaining about it. So far I have read nothing but how good it is. I am actually wanting to purchase one more but with wood furniture and fixed stock just to have a second one. I had a gunsmith tell me he also has one and it is his weapon of choice because it is so dependable.
Very nice Great deal

At first I was a little skeptical because of the lower price point. After debating about it for a few days I decided to order. Classic Firearms was very helpful in the ordering process and it arrived at my ffl dealer within 6 days. When I picked it up last Monday I was pleasantly surprised with the finish and overall appearance of this rifle. No rust no loose rivits like others have reported. The folding stock is a little tight but Id rather have it tight than flopping around. It did comewith a surplus sling, oil bottle, and cleaning kit. Although theyare somewhat dirty and gunked up, Im sure they will clean up fine. The metal magazine needs a little cleaning as well but Im sure it will be fine as well. I finally had a chance to take it to the range today. I used 3, 40 round bulgarion magazines and everyone fit perfectly, no modifications, and fired flawlessly. I also used a pmag 73 round drum in this AK. Once again it fit perfectly and fired flawlessly. I used the red army steel case ammunition and had 0 fte's and 0 ftf's. I was extremely pleased to know that this rifle worked extremely well and had 0 problems. The trigger of this rifle is what really blew me away. It is very smooth and this rifle was an absolute blast to take to the range. Overall if you too are a little skeptical about ordering this instead of the AB2 dont be. This rifle is very well made and is built like a tank. Its a bit heavy but I expected it to be. The underfolding stock is actually quite comfortable as well and I love having the option to leave it folded under instead of to the side. This was my first purchase with Classic Firearm's and I couldn't be happier with this purchase. Great deal, ease of ordering, and a very smooth transaction. I will definitely be using Classic Firearms for my future purchases.
Pretty Good
Review by Renegade on 1/23/2014
Finally picked my up today and tried it out before the days end, every thing worked flawless, I check the sights and rivets on the weapon as I read other reviews in different websites mentioning canted sights and loose rivets but every thing was well done and in place, only thing I notice was the hand grip seemed pretty beat compared to all the other parts and was very scratched but nothing very noticeable, overall I am very satisfy, it did take about 2 weeks and 1/2 for it to arrive but the wait was worth it.
Big Bang for the Buck
Review by Bill on 1/19/2014
Got this Tuesday and took it out today and put 100+ rounds through it. For the money, can't beat it. It shot low at first but after only 5 minutes of sight adjustments, it was shooting dead on at 30 yards and then at 100 yards. No canted sights or mag wobble, no FTF or jams of any kind. Did rapid fire of 25 rounds and it ran flawlessly. Good reliable weapon for the BOB. Shipping was fast as always. No cosmoline on gun but on the steel mag that was sent with it, not a biggie at all. Tapco mag that came with it seated very well and worked each time. Overall, excellent purchase and would recommend. Also, weapon came perfect with no imperfections. Get one!
Lots of wobble
Review by Steve on 1/13/2014
This rifle is well built and solid. It's a decent beginner AK, but there is tons of mag wobble. My rifle has both complete dimples in the mag well, however the cutout is way too big, and even the polymer mags rattle like a snake. My dust cover is also very loose (rattles nonstop when you walk). I wish they had a hand pick option for this, as i would have loved to get a non-troublesome AK.

Also, I ordered the yugo accessory kit and a half dozen extra magazines at the same time as this gun. Classic shipped them out via two different methods, and sent the mags and accessories to my FFL as well. The items arrived on separate dates, requiring 2 trips to my FFL. This makes little sense to me and was a slight inconvenience.
Cool Rifle, Uncool workmanship by Century
Review by Andrew on 1/9/2014
The rifle seems to be solid with solid parts. I have not had a chance to shoot it yet but will be anxious to see how it does. I am giving this rifle only 3 stars because the front sight is canted pretty bad which drives me absolutely nuts. Chances are it will shoot fine that way, but I still don't like it. The mag wobble on this rifle is also pretty darn bad with every magazine I have put in it, this I can live with but do not prefer. Lastly, it is a bit of a "Frankengun" with none of the parts matching. I don't mean to say nothing but bad things about it, it is a very cool rifle and I expect that it will shoot good, but I wouldn't expect a show quality example when ordering.
Awesome
Review by Rayjay on 1/6/2014
Right out of the box it shot on target at 100 yds. Have put over 200 Rds through it and has shot flawless. Very happy with the purchase and the ease of ordering from classic firearms.
HEAVY DUTY UNDERFOLDER
Review by PAUL on 12/5/2013
The rifle is great for the money, my scale showed 7.15lbs with no mag, shot 200 rds of tulammo using the supply 2 mags i got and it was flawless with no issues whatsoever i only gave 4 stars because the top cover was pitted and i dont know if anybody else noticed this but my rifle had a lot of mag wobble side to side and front and back but it shot fine i had no issues so only time will tell.Upon further inspection i noticed it was missing one of the magazine supporting "fins" that reduce mag wobble on the inside on top of the dimples, one side has it and the other does'nt.
Nice rifle
Review by heath on 11/25/2013
The bad: front sight slightly canted, rear sight slider buttons stuck so slider doesn't slide, one failure to feed in 150 rounds.

The good: fast shipping, nice finish, nice trigger feel, shoots great, low recoil, rivets are all correct, folder is solid, gun was on target out of the box.

Summary: I am hoping the one ftf was a fluke it happened on the 3rd round on the 4th mag of rapid fire. This is my first ak and i may have had he mag not seated right. I am very pleased with how easy this rifle is to keep on target during rapid fire. Overall i am pleased with the purchase and thank classic for a job well done.
