Gets Hot but Fun to Shoot
Review by Tactical Bacon on 8/18/15
Quality
The Russians hit it out of the park with this gun and the Poles did a great job of copying it. Fit and finish is exceptional and it functions like a dream. The bore is a bit dark but the rifling is still in decent shape without any rust or pitting. It heats up a lot after 250 rounds in 30 minutes but it functions great and is a lot of fun to shoot.

What a GREAT firearm! This 60 year old pistol has a finish better than any C&R item I've ever bought before. The Bluing is great and comparable or even better to a factory new modern firearm.

nice gun
Review by al on 6/18/12
Quality
Nice pistol. I payed for a hand select and still got one with a scratched slide. They are out of stock now so I probably got one of the last ones which would have been nice to know before I payed the extra money.

The grips are not Polish, they are Romanian which is fine because they look more like the original Russian ones.

The magazines are wrong too. One was filed down on the sides so it would fit in the gun, and the other does not fit at all. They are most likely Romanian too which is dumb because they label them as Polish and charge more for the extra one even though they don't belong in the gun.

Response from Classic Firearms - Hi Al - Yes, you apparently did get one of the last remaining Polish Toks. I'm sure you did get the best of what was left since you paid the hand pick. However, I do not want you to be unhappy in the least. Please give me a call directly and I'm happy to refund your hand pick fee if you would like. Regarding the mags, the ones you received should be Polish. We do not switch Romanian out for Polish, nor vice-versa. I will be happy to help with this concern as well. I'd call you, but you posted your review as a "guest" (not logged in to your account), so I do not have any contact info and am hoping you will see this response to get in touch with me. Thanks for still giving the pistol 5 stars! God Bless.....Rick Jones

I suggested to a fellow security officer that he buy a 7.62X25 pistol. He did.He showed it to me less than two hours ago.It looked NEW!!!! I just ordered one for myself ( even though my wife will get pissed ).Make sure you get that extra mag.8 rounds is not a lot these days.I'll be sure to show mine to friends and i'll tell them where i bought it.Now if some gun manufacturer would only come out with a double stack 7.62X25 pistol.

Very pleased with Polish Tokarev
Review by Phil on 7/31/15

I am very pleased with the condition of the Polish Tokarev that arrived today. Overall condition is Excellent (as described). I didn't pay for the hand select based on the online description. After a bit of a scrub, the bore cleaned up nicely with no frosting and solid rifling. The finish is perfect with no evidence any use (after the factory refinish). Grips are solid with no cracks/chips/scrapes etc. Trigger pull is nicer than I have come to expect from these. Missing the lanyard ring, but not something I care for anyway.

Polish Tok arrived this afternoon. Ordered last Thursday, arrived following Wednesday. Looks brand new, obviously not reissued after factory refurb. Frame, slide and barrel serial numbers match, neither magazine matches. Dated 1952. Missing lanyard ring. Came with excellent holster, cleaning rod and lanyard, even though they were not mentioned in the description. Used hand select option and asked Classic to verify that the bore/barrel were good. Have read in some recent reviews that some barrels do not match the pistols and were rusted and pitted. This barrel/bore show minimal wear, though bore was dirty, possibly from factory test firing. Very happy with this pistol.
Great Purchase
Review by Ricky on 7/11/15

I wanted the Polish version of this auto.
I also went by the discription as given on the better machine work and finish of the Polish made version. I was very pleased when I opened the box and after a quick wipe down, the dark rich bluing and fit of the Tokarev.
Was shipped in plastic and the auto was covered in oil. The only complaint is this: barrel showed severe corrosive staining on the exterior, the bord was solid rust! I did not opt for hand select and was very surprised to find the barrel bore in this condition. But such is the world of milsurp. I field stripped and wofked on cleaning the corosive and rust from thr internals. 2 hours of barrel alone. It is for this reason I rate as a 4 and not as a 5 star. Service was top motice. Will pay for the hand pick option. Ordered a new barrel since the number for it did not match the auto either.
Overall I am pleased with the purchase. One word to the wise....when field stripping, watch the plunger that is in the safety. Spent 4 hours looking after it went awol.
Great overall

Purchased the pistol and was amazed at the condition of the pistol. Overall the blueing was in great shape and looked like it had never been used. The bore had a little bit of residue in it, but once cleaned it was bright and shiny. Only reason I have it 4 stars is because I received two magazines; one worked ok, but the other one is a bugger to insert and eject. You almost need a tool to take the second magazine

I love that hand gun, first time owning tokarev, but it certainly has a kick compared to my sig 9mm p239. It was something i wasn't expecting. I am now talking a couple of friends in purchasing the polish brand. I since have purchase the holster and cleaning tool as it helps complete this. yes i do recommend the 7.62x25.
Polish Tokarov TT 33 looks brand new
Review by Albert on 6/18/15
Quality
I ordered one of these Polish TT 33 pistols as I had heard they were some of the best made guns and was not disappointed when I received it. It looks like it may have been factory test fired and that was it. Rifling is strong and bright, bluing is flawless and I can't find anything to complain about. Have not fired it yet, but I expect it will go well. Thanks Classic Arms!
Great gun
Review by Tglow on 6/8/15

Another purchase from Classic and no disappointment. I realize a surplus gun is hit or miss, but this is hit. I did not pay extra for hand select but I could not see how you could pick a better gun. Exterior is all very good, bluing is all excellent. The bore, did not come in rust, gun was soaked in oil. Bore was no surprise--slight pitting I would say, but cleaned up nice with reds-red and a scrubbing. Lands n groove are obvious, now shiny. We'll see how it shoots when I get ammo. Now I will brag.....it is a 1952, which is the same as my Radom Mosin I bought at local auction a year ago. I would like a 1967 P64, but beggars can't be choosers!

waited too long to get one of these babies. my polish TTC Tokarev pistol was in excellent condition when it showed up at my FFL dealer. paid an extra $20.00 for hand select and was not disapointed. it's slimer then i thought it would be, and remindes me of an american 1911 the way it feels in my hand. it's a natural pointer, and with hollow points available, it would not make a bad choice for self defence. my polish 357,- I mean,7.62x25 is a kick ass gun !!!

When I saw these available again,I ordered one with the hand select option.Needless to say the shipping was fast & the packing was excellent as always from the crew @ Classic.Upon getting home I began to strip the pistol down &when I pulled the barrel my blood ran cold! From the muzzle back about 2" the barrel was covered with fine pitting.Looking through the bore was nothing but red rust.NOT oil soaked rust ,but dry rust!.You could not tell the lands from the groves, just a solid uniform coating of Rust.Needless to say after much diligent labor,I can report no pitting inside the bore,& you can actually see whats left of the lands! Bottom line is, I won't waste ammo
firing from this pistol.I can say the blue was good 97/98 %
All numbers matched except for the 2 mags,& these were
in excellent shape as well. The grips were in perfect shape also! Am I disappointed? Yes,but that is the nature of buying surplus firearms. Now you may ask how I arrived @ the $335.00 figure? The finial cost of the pistol was$298.75,The FFL fee was $25.00 & the 2 hour round trip drive to my FFL guy burned $10.00 of gas easily.

I was undecided on upgrading to hand select, but after reading most of the reviews I decided I wasn't really gambling skipping that option. What I received really can't be improved upon. It's a pristine example, even the barrel. Classic's service was flawless as well. Thanks.
Very nice once cleaned up
Review by Max on 1/4/15

The mailman just dropped mine off today and I just finished field stripping and cleaning it up, but have not had a chance to shoot it yet. I've had my C&R for a while now but this is the first time I've used it. Very satisfying to have the mailman deliver a firearm directly to me!

The gun itself came soaked in so much oil that it could have survived being shipped underwater, and I might never need to oil it ever! It took quite a while to get it all cleaned up, but looks very nice now that it is (relatively) dry.

Serial numbers on the slide and frame match, but the one on the barrel doesn't. Not sure that matters to me, but would have been nicer if it had.

Both mags are identical, except one has some numbers on the bottom while the other does not. Numbers don't have any resemblance to the serial number of the gun.

All of the metal on mine looks like new with no marks or wear. My only disappointment was with the grips, one of which has a diagonal gash across it while the other has some minor nicks.

Two words of caution when field-stripping:
1. The slide stop pin is actually held in place by a long snap ring that I found almost impossible to remove. If you need to use a tool to remove it, don't use anything metallic to unsnap it (like I did) or you might create the TT-C equivalent of an idiot mark (like I did).
2. If you are tempted to pop the safety lever out (like I was for some reason), be very careful to avoid losing the microscopic spring-loaded retaining pin that actually holds it in place. You can't see this pin normally because it is hidden until you pop the safety lever out, by which time the retaining pin will have shot off somewhere.
