Brutus' Description

I have owned a CZ-75 for years and it is one of my favorite 9mm pistols. The contour fits the hand perfectly and they balance so well that they are a pleasure to shoot. The only problem is they are expensive. Well the new Stingray-C duplicates the fit, feel and quality of my Cz-75 in a slightly smaller, much more affordable version. I really like this pistol and why not... It is chock full of features at a very affordable price. Black chrome plated. Made in Turkey by Canik55, this pistol is very similar to the renowned CZ75. Features include an ambidextrous safety lever and slide release, chrome lined cold-forged barrel, loaded chamber indicator,. Comes with two 15 rd. mags., cleaning rod and plastic case. Barrel: 3.5″, Overall: 6.75″, Weight: 2.3 lbs. Not available for sale in CA; DC; HI; MA; Cook County, IL or where prohibited by law. Comes with a 1 year manufacturer's warranty! Condition: new.

Wow Canik Stingray

I own a CZ75 Compact .40 S&W and I'll tell you what, this is an excellant handgun. I like it AS MUCH as the CZ ! It feels as comfortable and solid as the CZ and I would buy another one of these if the other flavors become available. CZ offers rubber grips at a good price and I may add them. That's the only thing I'd change.
Looks good shoots good

I bought this gun for my father on Christmas, and after I tested it i actually regretted not purchasing two of them. The controls feel a little odd at first but it feels very nice in my hands, most importantly it fits my father's hands and the sights are very easy for him to see. Great gun!
very good gun

I have a cz 85 and this gun is very much like the 85 just shorter and a little bit heaver. I took it to the range and I had to see if it would digest my own cast bullets and it ate them up and they shot good. It does shoot a little high and to the right but that can be made right with practice. The sights are not adjustable for high or low but I think you can drive them left or right. I love the loaded chamber indicator and it does hold 15 plus 1. It feels great in your hand is easy to carry in the right rig. I love this gun but took off 1 star because of the sights not being adjustable. I still might get another. to give to my granddaughter..
Good pistol for the money, good service from Classic!

Ordered the Canik Stingray on Thursday and got it the following Tuesday. Nicely balanced pistol, seems decently made - nice looking, but not great. Yep it's heavy being not plastic, but recoil is more manageable. I remember when manly men didn't whine about carrying a solid chunk of steel all day. Besides, if I run out of bullets or just want to dispatch them quietly I can beat them down better than with a hunk of plastic... No functional issues on first 50 rounds so far. Shoots 12 inches high at 25 yards & 4" high at 10 yards - wish it had elevation adjustments on the rear sight. Be nice if you could get taller front sights too. Trigger is very stiff, but no takeup on DA mode.
Great Pistol Classic!

I picked up my Canik55 Stingray Pistol in black last week and finally got to take it to the range today. It is a great shooter for the money! I am impressed with the fit and finish and the overall quality of this pistol, especially for $320! I was debating getting one of these for quite a while and two weeks ago I noticed on the web site only one was left in stock, (black) so I jumped on it and I am glad I did. This is a pistol with nice heft and feels good in the hand. Size wise it is identical to my Glock 19 but with a little more weight. I like the steel construction and the ease with which I can rack the slide. This is now going to be the reigning pistol in my bedroom night stand. My FFL was very impressed with the pistol, thanks for a great buy Classic! Jump on this pistol when they are back in stock.
Wow, Fit and Finish Superb

Cant believe this gun was only 319.99 + 15 transfer!

My brother has a CZ P01 but I like this one better! About 8 ounces heavier than the CZ due to steel frame vs aluminum, but ambi/dual thumb safety and slide releases make more sense to me vs the decocker on the CZ.

I already had a set of CZ compact rubber grips from Midway waiting for it arrive and swapped them while my FFL was doing the ATF check so they feel exactly the same, albeit the Stingray is noticeably heavier.

The fit and finish is superb, no machining marks, even before first breakdown and oiling the action was smooth and solid, trigger is pretty good, stiff and long as expected in DA, not bad at all DA from half cocked position, and surprisingly crisp release in SA.

On the new 2014 model of Stingray, the barrel is black and the rear sights are different, I don't see any adjustment for elevation as on the previous model and many of the pictures you will see on the internet, but still the same shape without the adjustment screw on top of the slide. If the sight paint is supposed to be luminescent, my eyes must not be picking it up or I haven't had it in the right low light situation as they look like standard off white dots to me. Both mags that came with it were 15 rounders. Sturdy, lockable plastic case with Canik Logo, cleaning rod, cleaning brush, allen wrench, instruction manual and mag loading tool are still standard.

I also picked up a Mec Gar 14 round flush fit for the P01 and 19 rounder for the CZ75 that has the extended mag floorplate and both fit and lock perfectly. Of course the 19 rd mag sticks out of the grip with about a half inch of space between the bottom of the gun's grip and the mag's floorplate extension piece so the steel mag body shows in that gap but I don't really care as a 19 rd mag is for a reload when style points don't count.

I already have light thin polymer 9mm's for every day legal CC (PF9 or CPX2) but this one is much more comfortable to shoot at the range because of the added weight and just feels like quality. It may be too heavy for most to be your EDC, but it is small enough to still be concealed if needed and similar enough in size to my other carry guns to reinforce the same hand placement and form while training with a much softer recoil.

If you've been considering this pistol but were hesitant about a clone, don't be, its gorgeous and solid as steel because it is steel.
BIG GUN, SMALL PRICE!

I have owned every gun known to man but this one is my favorite. The recoil is minimal and the thing feels and shoots like a very expensive gun.

Let me put it this way, when I go to the range I have people standing behind me watching me shoot. I hit the target every time and no bad shots at all. I am the only one at the range that shoots the long range targets because I know I can hit it. This gun sits by my bed because I know I will hit what I aim at.

Why are you still thinking about it? There is a reason why the other guns like this one have sold out.
Great Pistol and Great Price

I've had my Stingray for about a year. It is designed for right or left handed.
This pistol is ever bit as good as some of my very expensive pistols.
For a first time owner looking for a pistol. This is a great choice.
I have a lot of firearms to choose for home protection, but I have my Stringray on my night stand all the time. I keep it loaded with "frag" ammo. It won't go thru a wall and hurt anyone else. SAFETY FIRST. It's a heavy pistol (all steel) and it means business. To date...no miss-fires or jams. BUY IT !!
very pleased with this pistol
