We have torture tested these rifles and I would put them up against anything being sold for reliability...

In fact we are so confident in these rifles that we offer a full one year repair or replace bumper to bumper warranty directly from Classic Firearm on every rifle sold.

Now don't get me wrong... There is nothing fancy here... Just a basic M4 AR-15 Carbine... But if you want a great entry level AR, at a really great price....

Give this Bear Creek Arsenal  AR-15 a try. Ships complete with a Carbine Length AR-15 Hard Case , A3 Carry Handle, and 2-30 round magazines....

Some photo's may show rifle with Halographic Electro Sight, or Barska 3x9x40 Scope Installed. ....
These are optional and do not come with this rifle. They are shown here for demonstrative purposes only, but must be purchased seperately...

Scopes, Extra Mags, Drum Mags, etc... may also be purchased with the rifle..... Note -

The barrels on these are made from 4140 cold rolled steel and are rated at a barrel life of approximately 150,000 rounds. They are very top end.

They are not chrome lined as most AR-'s are not. Chrome lining on modern rifles is typically used where there is a high probability of corrosive ammo being used such as AK type rifles chambered for foreign calibers...

Since chrome lining may slightly affect accuracy, and since most AR-15 rifles are designed with accuracy as a benchmark,
and since virtually all .223 / 5.56 NATO is non corrosive...most AR manufacturers do not chrome line barrels.

Happy and pleased. Price point is incredible and the rifle is a real winner that could easily fetch 200 dollars more over price from Classic. Great service and an excellent AMERICAN made rifle.
AR15 UPDATE-ANON
Review by ANON on 5/2/15
Quality
This is an update from my post a few days ago.

Today, I fired it using some cheap Tula 223, the dinky $5 a box of 20 stuff.

The gun functioned flawlessly. Even though I fired some of the worst ammo out there, the gun was accurate on a target that was simulated out to 300m.

I had gotten the gun's windage properly alligned, and was able to hit the target easily. I had trouble adjusting the elevation, but that was my in-experience. I am working on that.

The gun was able to fire without one failure to feed, fire, or eject. I even loaded the 30rnd mag all the way and just fired as fast as I could to try and jam it. All I did was waste ammo.

If you have been on the fence about this gun, don't be. I researched this gun for 3 months before buying it. This was my first AR15, and it was a great choice. It comes with a 1year "bumper to bumper" warranty from ClassicFirearms, and a limited lifetime warranty from BCA.

This gun is worth the price, and it is fun to shoot.

K first off this is the first 5.56 that I have had my hands on since I was in the service to take this review for what it is. For the last long while I have only shot traditional muzzle loaders .ie flintlocks. Felt it was time to step up to a modern firearm to play with.

Took it out on the range today. Ran 60 rnds thru in without any flaws at all. It just worked. after zeroing with only 9 rounds was able to consistently put 5 rnds under a quarter with the stock open sights using PMC bronze ammo. Extremely happy to have this in my cabinet now.
Good Fit and Acceptable Finish
Review by ANON on 4/30/15
Quality
I received the firearm from my FFL today. So let me break it down:

1)The box: it comes in is useful, but it is still cheap plastic. If you have your own gunbox/case then I would use that, but if you do not have one, this will serve it's purpose. Overall, the case is great.

2)The barrel: is stamped with, "223 Wylde Made in the USA", not "556 Nato" like in one of the pictures.
a)This is not a big deal at all. 223Wylde is a chambering, not a cartrdige. The barrel is made for both 223/556 ammo, and the 223Wyle barrel just makes shooting 223 more accurate without sacrificing the necessary safety of shooting 556, which is a higher pressure cartridge than 223.
b)The barrel looked fine, but the plastic handguards looked a little crudy. I could see some gaps between the seem, and the metal heat guard didn't line up flush with the handguard holes, which is not necessary at all, it just looks off. Overall, the look is good for a $570 gun.

3)The fit: the gun had very little if any space between the upper and lower assembly. Even holding it to a light, I could only see a little light shine through, so nice and snug. Only had two issues.
a)The rear take down pin would not depress using my fingers. After looking it up, that is a common problem. I fixed it by dropping a little CLP onto it, and let it soak in. After 10minutes, I used my thumb to pop it out.
b)The finish on the BCG and the Lower assembly looked a little rough. Now, I understand the gun is cheap, and heavy duty. A couple of scratches or discoloration will have no effect on the gun at all. Some of the parts looked like they had some faint surface rust. I put CLP on whatever looked orange. Which, only 2 places did. The. The Lower had a single spot near the Forward assist that had some orange. I put a little CLP on it, incase it was rust and not just a bad finish. The BCG had orange on the underside, directly opposite the gas-key. I put a drop of CLP on it, and the contact points and let them sit.
c)The bolt face looked to have some rust on that, so I put CLP on that. All of the rust looked to be superficial, and will have no effect on the firearm.

4) Mags: the gun came with 2 Tapco mags, both of which freefall out of the gun when the mag-release is pressed. They do not stick, so that is excellent!

5)Sights: The carry handle and front sight post looked nice, they were turned to the default height/windage settings and lined up nicely. This friday(in 2 days) I am taking the gun to the range to send it's first 100rounds through it.

-I will make a new post Titled: "AR15 UPDATE-ANON" to tell you how it functioned.

I have taken lots of pictures of the parts/gun, and will post them once I figure out how.
First AR ... VERY pleased!
Review by Bill on 4/24/15
Quality
This is a good rifle for putting holes in things, pissing gun-control freaks off and spending your money wisely. The guys I hang with look at the hole in the paper, so they are suitably impressed that a rifle that costs so little is as capable as this one is. For us, a brand name is only useful if "the quality goes in before the name goes on". Apparently BCA adds the logo last.

This review is colored by 1) my years as a machinist / die-maker 2) my (relatively few) years as a shooter 3) this being my first AR platform rifle 4) having sent about 300 rounds of 55 grain American Eagle down range thus far.

Mechanical
Fit and finish are just about perfect. The anodized finish was dark, even and intact. That's about all you can ask of an anodized finish. The upper and lower pins move smoothly with no wobble and their location relative to each other and the mating halves was exactly right ... when the halves are joined, there is no light between them ... which argues that the pin spacings are pretty much perfect and that the mating surfaces themselves are flat, straight, and smooth. Each component was securely fastened, but there was no binding in the controls. Both polymer Tapco and aluminum D Products Defense magazines lock tightly into the well and drop freely. Both hold the bolt open when the final round has been fired.

The trigger is milspec. If you are using this for zombie training, that's good enough.

The Bad
The rear sight is marked 8/3, which argues for either an "F" front sight tower or a taller front sight post. If you are going to keep the iron sights as your primary sights, you'll want to address this. HOWEVER, I was able to set a lollipop zero using the RIBZ sighting instructions found at AR15.com. This gives you "Minute of Zombie" accuracy for anything from 50 to 300 yards.

Fun
Before I could get to the range with this, the BATFE went full retard about M855 and the weather turned crappy ... so I spent too much on some General Dynamics M855 cartridges and some bare bullets to reload them with some day. I also bought a case of American Eagle 55 grain M193.

While awaiting delivery of the ammunition I also bought a Bumpfire (brand name) stock.

And that is why this section comes under the "Fun" heading. Yeah buddy! Both short bursts and a mag dump were the most fun I've ever had fully clothed!

More Mechanical
While waiting for the chance to go to the range, I got the needed cleaning gear and put it to work. When I did the mag dump, the BCG, etc, were (deliberately) pretty wet ... and functioned flawlessly.

In conclusion
As someone who has spent a lot of his life using and making precision tools, I can honestly state that the rifle is well made and I fully expect it to have a reasonably long useful life. I haven't put any heavier bullets through it yet, so the jury is still out on whether I will be changing to a tighter twist barrel. If this barrel will stabilize 75 grain bullets for 100-200 yards, I won't bother changing the barrel out but might, instead, invest in a tighter twist barrel as a spare.

I have a semi-automatic .410 set aside for inside-the-home self-defense purposes, but I can see that a carbine length AR, with the proper ammunition, would also be suitable for that purpose. Look for bullets that expand quickly at nearly muzzle velocity.
Awesome AR-15

This is my dad's first AR-15 and we love it. it showed up the day it was scheduled. The sights are dead on and it has no recoil. Im 6'2 and my dad's 6'5 and the stock is right for us. The price was right for this awesome rifle. We will do business with Classic Firearms again in the future.

The $530 price tag for an assembled AR along w/case and 2 mags seems unreal but in this case is a real value! I shoot about 2x/month so this is plenty gun for me. It didn't take long to get this one sighted and once it was I was shooting 1" groups at 25 yards. And am confident she will do same at 100yards. 55+ grain ammo is what mine shoots best. Fun AR at an outstanding price. I had my eye on an AK when shopping but I'm gald to have purchased this one.
The Most bang for your buck .
Review by Alleycat on 3/14/15

Please keep in mind. I'am not a AR expert by any means. This Bear Creek AR15 is my very first AR purchase. And I couldn't be happier.
My only complaint would be the cheap adjustable butt stock. After taking my AR to the range for the first time . The adjustable butt stock leaver screw came loose and the adjustable handle fell off . I found the handle but the screw or " Wing Nut " was lost amongst the empty brass shells. It's too bad because this review should be 5 stars !!
So here's what I learned about buying my AR. 1. Always clean, clear and check any new firearm. Although this AR came in new with a well oiled charging bolt. After inspecting the buffer tube spring I noticed the spring had some rust dust and was very dry. Cleaned it up with a little clp and it was good to go !
2. The AR came in ready to be sighted in . Which was very nice. After a few shots down range and a few clicks and this AR was zeroed in .
3. Both the upper and lower snapped together better then a Lego set .
4. When you buy something cheap you expect cheap construction. The first thing you notice is the weight. And this AR has some weight behind it. You can feel the real quality of the heavy metal that was used to build this weapon. It's to bad they cheaped out with the butt stock . Because I got nothing but compliments from other shooters and AR owners At the range.
5. You should always condition your barrel no matter how you spent for your AR . I took the time to condition my barrel. It's a pain in the ass but hopefully it will be more reliable as I learn to use it more .
6. Buy and optic . The A2 sight is great but the cheek welled on the cheap butt stock sucks. Especially if you use earmuffs.
7. Make sure Everything is tighten down before you shoot . Because losing the butt stock nut sucks. Honestly I was going to change the stock anyways but Now i got no choice or a backup if something happens.
8. Use glove when shooting any AR . These rifles get hot . I mean smoking hot !!! So wear gloves .
9. 223 or 556 . With this AR either one doesn't matter. Because this sucker is like the cookie monster. It eats up everything. No bs I used both 223 and 556 and this rifle didn't know the difference. She ate up everything.
10. Pmags .. I really like pmags over the thermo mags that it came with . but that's just me . Getting the carry case was worth the extra money. Although it's not a steel case it's still a nice hard plastic case that fits and secures my new AR and 4 mags. Would I recommend this rifle to a first time AR buyer ? Hell yeah ! To the seasoned vet . I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed either. Would I take this rifle into battle ? Probably not .. Would I take it to the range and shoot all day with it. DAM Right I would. Thanks Classic.. Hopefully see my review and send me another butt stock adjustable arm wing nut .
Great Buy!

Nice weapon fired 120 rounds today with no problems at all with 55gr American Eagle AR5.56 or 62gr WPA Military Classic.223 2 ½" groups at 50 yards with both Man beside me was shooting a higher end AR same distance with 4” groups
Great Gun and Value
Review by Nonoy on 2/5/15
Quality
Was finally able to bring this gun to the range to zero and using 5.56 ammo 55 grain XM193 Federal. Result - once zeroed, it tends to hit the bullseye and in some case the same spot making a large gash in the target paper. This is at 50 yards, and at 100 yards still kept doing it.

If you are having second thoughts about buying this - don't. This is a great AR15 and you won't regret buying it.

I wish they make this in longer barrels.
Great Purchase

Got this as a Christmas present.

Rifle came in super fast as usual. Rifle was in immaculate shape, not single blemish.
While filling out the transfer paperwork, the store gunsmith broke the rifle down to check it out.

He was very impressed with the quality of the gun and parts in it.

Again another great buy from Classic

Thanks all !!!!!
Very Nice!

I purchased this gun while on sale several months ago along with the carry handle, sights, hard case, and two mags. This is my first AR 15. I am very pleased with it as well as the price. At the range the gun was on the money right out of the box with good ammo. Classic Firearms provided an easy transaction and I will definately do business with them again.

I got mine shipped to a local FFL dealer. When I brought it home and unpacked the rifle I was impressed with the finish and the construction of the weapon, I have owned several AR-15's . Although this is a basic AR it will do what I need it to do just fine. I have already put a scope on it and changed out some furniture on the weapon. I have a few more changes to make then off to the range. See ya soon
My First AR-15
Review by Howard on 8/27/14
Quality
Looks to be a fine weapon - good build quality. I don't have another AR to compare it to, but the fit and finish looks every bit as good as the brand name rifles and pistols that I own - in some cases even better. The rifle was delivered within a week of ordering, and the FFL that it was shipped to, (and with which I was not familiar) was less than 4 miles from where I live. No hassle with them, very friendly, and I will be using them again! (Target Zero Supplies, St. Cloud, FL). Plan on putting some metal down range after I return from a trip up North. Classic is the first place I check when I'm looking to buy more firepower.
I'm really pleased.

Man you guys really hit a homerun with this rifle. My son and I went to the range, yesterday. He had a m4 in the service, and said that this one brought back memories. It shot well with the iron sights.( keyholed a few).I can't wait, till I put a scope on it, and really see what it'll do ... Thanks, Bear Creek, and Classic fire arms. for a quality firearm at a reasonable price..

    Great Buy!

See ya soon
