  • Are there any restrictions on magazines?

    Not at the Federal level. There are some state-specific laws restricting the capacity magazines. For clarification on the laws of your state, you should contact your state Attorney General’s office or a qualified attorney.

  • Are there shipping discounts for large orders?

    Yes, orders over 150lbs have a special discounted rate from UPS that will save quite a bit off the normal rates. There is a further discount when your shipment reaches 500lbs.

  • Aren't all these rules unconstitutional according to the 2nd amendment

    Yes. The 2nd amendment, as commonly accepted by most constitutional scholars, means just what it says. It clearly states that your right to own a firearm is not to be infringed. Every law Congress passes restricting firearms is just that – an infringement.

  • How can I get on your email list?

    You can sign up to receive our emails by clicking here. By doing so, you will be the first to know when we receive new items and you will receive offers exclusive to those on our email list.

  • How do I know if I am complying with my local and state laws?

    It is up to each INDIVIDUAL to ensure your purchase will not violate your local or state laws. For best results, consult any applicable local / state ordinances, your state Attorney General's office, or a qualified attorney.

  • If I am unhappy with my purchase, what can I do?

    We make every effort to ensure your order is shipped accurately and the product matches the advertised description. However, if you are unsatisfied with the product you received, the following policies will apply:

                      No returns will be accepted more than 15 days past the delivered date.
                      Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer, not Classic Firearms.
                      If we shipped you an incorrect item by OUR error, then we will issue a prepaid UPS return-shipping label.

          NOTE: Credit card returns are subject to a 3% return fee. We reserve the right to inspect all returned merchandise. If we determine a return was made without reasonable cause, or wherein our judgment the product meets the advertised condition, the refund will be subject to a 15% restocking fee. Transfer fees charged by your dealer will not be refunded for ANY reason. These transactions are at the full risk and expense of the consumer.

        1. If they are banned, then how are you selling AK-47s and others?

          The current imported rifles of these types that are for sale are not considered imported assault rifles. They have been assembled in the US using a certain number of US made parts, so they do not fall under the bans which apply to imported rifles.

        2. What are your hours of operation?

          Monday - Friday 9:00am to 4:30pm. We are closed on Saturday and Sunday.

        3. What does C&R mean?

          C&R stands for "Curio & Relic". It is a classification made by the BATF of certain firearms, mainly military ones with designs over 50 years old. Collectors who obtain a C&R License can order C&R-classified firearms directly without having to go through an FFL dealer to do a transfer. A C&R license does NOT permit the holder to deal in firearms nor act as a transfer agent.

        4. What does FFL mean?

          FFL stands for "Federal Firearms License." This is issued by the BATF to those who deal in firearms and it is illegal to deal in firearms without an FFL.

        5. What is the difference between Berdan and Boxer primers?

          Berdan primers have two flash holes between the inside of the case and the primer, one at each side. Boxer primers have one single flash hole in the center. The difference is important for reloaders since cases using Boxer primers can usually be reloaded and cases using Berdan primers are not easily reloadable.

        • Can I order an item over the phone?

          Yes. You can place an order over the phone by calling 704-774-1102.

        • Can I pick up my order directly from Classic Firearms?

          Classic Firearms is online and phone order only and thus we are not open to the public. However, we do realize many local folks would like to purchase our products and want to avoid having to pay shipping charges. To accommodate our local customers, we have set up a relationship with a local gun dealer, Beltway Gun and Pawn, to handle local transfers of firearms for our customers for a small fee of $25.00. Ammo only orders will be accessed a 5% charge from what is stated on the invoice. Beltway will pick up orders once per week on Fridays and they are available for pickup during Beltway's hours of operation.

          If you choose this method, your order can only be placed by calling us at 704-774-1102 (no online orders for local pick-up).

        • Do you have a lay-a-way plan and/or alternative financing?

          We have alternative financing available, made possible through Credova. Credova enables you to purchase the items you want now and pay for them in installments over an agreed-upon time period. If you have a shopping cart subtotal greater than $300 and are ready to purchase, you will be able to choose Credova financing as a payment option during checkout. From there you will be asked to fill out an application so Credova can determine in its discretion if you are eligible for alternative financing.

        • How can I return an item to Classic Firearms?

          Please email sales@classicfirearms.com to initiate an RMA.

        • How old do I have to be to purchase ammo from Classic Firearms

          You must be at least 21 years old to purchase ammo from us. There can be grey areas regarding what is considered handgun ammo and what is considered long gun ammo. For that reason, Classic Firearms errs on the side of caution and will only sell ammo to those above the age of 21. When placing your order, you will be asked to make a statement of your date of birth and that you are complying with all applicable laws. 

        • How will I know if my order has shipped and will I get a tracking #?

          If you have established an online account with us using a current email address, you will be emailed a tracking number automatically once your order has shipped.

        • What does "Hand Select Best Of 10" mean?

          We offer “Hand Select Best Of 10” for a fee on many of our firearms. Selecting this option means our warehouse staff will take the time to examine 10 of the same item ordered and then choose the best one of the 10 in terms of cosmetics.  This does not mean you will get a perfect firearm. It simply means you will get the best-looking firearm of the 10 examined based on the opinion of the individual warehouse staff.

        • What form(s) of payment do you accept?

          We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or AMEX.

          We would love to be able to accept PayPal and Apple Pay, but those companies' policies do not allow for purchases involving firearms, ammunition, and certain firearms accessories.  Because of that, we are restricted from offering those two payment options. Hopefully, the policies at those companies will change in the future.

        • What is the best way to check the status of my order?

          The best way to check the status of your order is to log into your account via www.classicfirearms.com. Once signed into your account, you will be able to see order status, order history, etc. Please do not call us for order status. It saves time and helps us be more efficient in packing and shipping your order when we are not tied up taking “order status” calls. Thank you for your understanding.

        • Will my credit card be charged as soon as I place the order or do you wait until my order is shipped?

          Your credit card will be charged at the same time you place your order (not when the order ships). Should you have any quesitons or concerns, please contact customer support at 704-774-1102.
