Brutus' Description

Note - We will not be offering this ammunition after all.

We had made a tentative committment  to purchase this ammunition from the importer with a 48 hour grace period to back out of the deal. Even though we knew the pricing to us was very expensive our thoughts were that it was better to have it at a high price, than not to have it at all.

 Well, evidently we were wrong.

We posted the ammo as a pre-order just to test the market and received so much negative feedback over the price we would have had to charge that we decided not to go through with the purchase.

Even though the ammo is very difficult to find right now, and even though the  high price did not originate with us,
( in fact our profit margin would have been very small ) we felt based on the feedback that we received that to continue to offer it
for sale, at the price we would have had to sell it at,  would reflect badly on us as the seller.

As such the decision was ultimately made, after reviewing your comments and feedback, not to go through with the purchase.

For those few who have placed an order on this ammo , we will be contacting you to be sure you are taken care of.

As always we appreciate your comments, your feedback, and your business....

In retrospect, $500 for 1250 rounds is good.

In retrospect, $500 for 1200 + rounds is a good price. Too bad that won't happen again in our lifetime. Thanks to the Clinton Treaty Bans.
Market has changed

I know this stuff used to be under $90 for the case, but the surplus has dried up. If you want it for $90, get in your time machine and get some. Get me a winning lottery ticket while you're at it. The price now $500. I don't like it but that's the new reality. Still not a bad price considering you're getting 1260 rounds. If you don't like it, simply don't buy it.

Thanks Classic, for all that you guys do the firearms community.
I'd buy it instantly at this price

Classic Firearms, please bring this ammo back!

7.62x25 fluctuates with the market like any other caliber. Sure, the market is hellish right now, but 7.62x25 milsurp had nearly disappeared well before the market panic hit.

I wouldn't hesitate to snap up two cases of this if it was available. Classic Firearms, if there's a way, please bring back this product!
Thecshortage is bound to continue

Unfortunately, Barack just signed an executive order to attempt to block importation of foreign firearms, ammo, and accessories. I don't know if this will gain any traction being it is an executive order versus an official edict by congress, but in the meantime, parts and ammo may CONTINUE to be scarce for AK and Tok owners.
If memory serves, Wolf ammo, Tulammo and Hot Shot ammo are ALL manufactured overseas. Obviously, so was the surplus ammo for same. So is Mosin ammo for that matter! Other commercial sellers of ammo for Mosins, AK's and Toks such as Sellier and Bellot are ALSO "ferners."
My point? The short and medium term outlook on ammo availability for ALL of the above AIN'T looking good. While not personally pleased with the price in ammo ANYWHERE, I would certainly NOT blame Classic for the increased price to pay on the retail level. THEY have no control over market conditions. As i trust them by past actions NOT to gouge, I will defer to their increases and trust their integrity here. They have only done HONEST business with me.....
Smart money says, have as MUCH of it available as soon as possible, and allow those that can, to replentish their stock.

This battle for gun control AIN'T over friends, not by a longshot. We could realistically be looking at shortages until Barack leaves office. By the determination being displayed by gun grabbers, it's an easy conclusion to reach. And I see no relief on the horizon, either.

I vote for Classic to bring in what they can, of ALL calibers, and divest it to us as reasonably as possible. I trust em.....

thank u for not selling at inflated prices don't let greed and politics ruin the industry. more people should refuse to over pay. it will only hurt our selves.
Good for classic. No, Brian.

I disagree with Brian. Classic has a reputation and this panic will end soon with the failure of any new gun laws. The market will correct itself before this would sell out and then classic would be viewed as the rest of the dealers who are in some cases guilty of panic gouging, which classic has not done.

Good for you guys sticking to your principles. My Tokarev will be fine waiting.
Why not?

I understand Classic's decision not to sell this ammo. It's overpriced! - yes, compared to pre-SCARE of 2013 prices.

But frankly, I'd buy it now and be very, very happy to get it. I've got three guns that eat this stuff and they're hungry. Feed me, Mr. Seymour!

Seriously, Rick, sell it at market (current market) prices and let people choose for themselves.

Thanks, Brian
