This is a really excellent product! I installed one in my Yugo AK-47 with under folding stock. Recoil almost disappeared! Wow, now it works smoothly. I am ordering two more to have a few spare pieces in my pocket. I cannot comment on durability since I have shot just one magazine.

One more comment. Romanian AKs have a bit longer receiver. So, this piece can be a bit shorter to work to the full power. I have mounted a rubber ring on the spring after 10 test shots with this recoil buffer. . It really helps. So, consider adding an extra rubber ring if you do not feel recoil reduction after installing this buffer.

This little inexpensive item is indispensable, and in my opinion should be standard on all AKM rifles.

After an easy installation, on a Yugo and Saiga, headed out to the range. I did notice a reduction in recoil, and also a reduction in the overall vibration and shock to the rifle when the bolt slams rearward with each pull of the trigger.

Overall, just a smoother shooting experience. I highly recommend you get one for each AK rifle you own.

I was really surprised at the difference in the recoil with little device. its the difference between beating you up while shooting along with your rifle, or running smooth as silk.

This little piece is a gem, and for the low price, to NOT include one with your AK purchase, or as a later add-on, is buffoonery! This piece limits recoil, and steadies the rifle for followup shots. Comes in very handy when rapid firing. Worth the purchase for THAT reason alone! Plus, it pads the back of the internals and keeps the bolt from banging into the back of the reciever, thus extending the life of the internals considerably. For the mere $10 bucks this piece costs, consider this and extended warranty to the guts of your AK or variant! Best $10 bucks you can spend! 5 stars!
