Excellent product, great for first-time builders

I ordered one not knowing what to expect, honestly. I wanted to build a lightweight "machine gun" using a slide-fire stock, and since this was my first go around building an AR-15, I decided to get something inexpensive. It shipped quick and was at my door within a few days.

Let me tell you, this kit has surpassed all my expectations. I found an instructional video online and put together the entire thing in under an hour. When I finally got out to shoot, it was all smiles. No jams with factory ammo. One of my hand loads stuck in the chamber but I'll certainly take the fault for that one. The thing chewed through multiple types of ammo (mostly steel) and with the polymer lower it was lighter than any AR I've ever shot. The slide fire ran like a dream. It ran fine with tapco gen 2 mags, magpul pmags, and metal GI mags.

The fit and finish aren't perfect, of course. But everything feels great, and the action is smoother than a lot of new ARs I have felt. Also, if I were doing this again, I'd probably get an upper with chrome-lined internals (perhaps a palmetto state). But for the price, this was a great deal. I'm legally, reliably, and fairly accurately shooting full auto for about $900 total cost.

missing parts in kit and del-ton not wanting to replace them there customer service sucks had buy missing pins from another supplier was not giving del-ton any more money after bad customer service

This is a great Kit! I got it for my first AR, and used it on an 80% lower. It came in a very well secured box and everything needed for an AR was included in the kit. I put it together in an evening and the next day I put over 200rds through it without any FTF or FTE. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and will definitely be purchasing from Classic Firearms again!

Easy AR build

My girlfriend bought each of us one of these kits for a weekend project. Easy to build and looks great. This with a Spikes receiver blows away any $599 AR you'll find. If you haven't built one before, this is where to start (and if you have built one...get another, you never can have too many ARs).

Finally got to go out and shoot this M-4 I ordered from you guys. got a Frontier Arms lower receiver and several mags(tapco,pro mag). put 100 rounds though and not a single problem with the different mags. accurate out the box. really impressed with the quality. will buy more when available. Thanks

Best way to "roll your own"

After searching thru local stores and online I was about at my wits end. No one was selling AR's and even if you could find them, they were $200 over last year's prices. A buddy of mine waited 3 months to get an upper and he paid more for it than this whole kit! I got a blemished PSA receiver for $80 shipped and viola... a brand new AR for less than $600. Of course I didn't stop there though. See the video.

Bought this and picked up a Delton lower receiver from my local FFL. This is my very first AR15. Found instruction online for assembly of the lower. First timer and it took about 1 1/2 hrs. Everything fit perfectly. Can't wait to shoot it this weekend. Time of order to delivery was 2 days. Great job Classic Firearms. I will keep checking your site for more great deals.

This is a very well made M4 at a very good price. Even if one were to overpay for the lower receiver, the finished rifle will be $100 less than anything on the market today. The kit arrived well packaged and only two days after I placed the order.
