Great C&R Buy
Review by Zack on 6/8/2017
Great C&R buy here. Its hard to find good budget C&R buys any more but this is one. I did not pay for any extras. Mine came with crest and not dunked in cosmo. Only issue I had was the safety. It is very hard to activate and very rough/sharp on the edges, however these guns were originally designed not to have a safety so just know that when buying one. Shipping was fast and well packaged. I cant wait to take it out. Will probably get two more soon.
This is a very well made upper
Review by Chalupa Monkey on 5/30/2017
this is one of the most affordable AR-15 mil-spec uppers I've come across on the internet as of this date. the first one I built was to fit an X products can cannon on to it it works so well instead of to be abusive as expected I bought another one and even convinced a friend to buy one for as well. its worth its weight in gold.
Awesome gun at a Great Price- Can't be beat

Great Gun for the Price.
Review by KFW on 2/9/2017
Excellent Value. I am very happy with the gun I received. The gun came with some cosmoline on it, but cleaned up very nice. Watch full unboxing video for details.
Cleaned up Well, Great gun for the Money.
Review by KFW on 2/4/2017
This gun came packaged very well and the shipping was fast. Gun was covered in cosmoline, but after cleaning was in great shape. Barrel was very good and overall the gun was very good condition. I am very happy with the firearm, especially for a non hand select.
Excellent, only problem is with safety
Review by Slavic on 1/31/2017
Excellent, better than expected. Safety was loose and had to be removed to operate the gun. The gun appears to never been in use, because after first trip to range found shooting to the left and need to be adjusted, and also other than little holster wear no wear on slide. Very happy, thank you
Classic fire-breathing fun!

In relatively great condition and a blast to shoot. Commercial ammo is available and these are accurate guns! See the video for proof.
East German Makarov versus Yugo M57 Tokarev from Classic
Review by Scott on 5/31/2013
I thought I would pit my 20 yr. old Makarov against my recent Classic Tokarev I bought. Both are great guns but the Tokarev is hands down more powerful and has awesome muzzle flash! Both guns will have a place of honor in my cabinet however! Enjoy the dueling pistols!
Home run with this Tokarev and Classic
Review by Scott on 5/6/2013
I was very pleased with the Tokarev I ordered from Classic. The gun was mildly coated in grease but not packed. The gun disassembled and cleaned up nicely. There are some wear marks on the gun but nothing I would not expect if this gun had been in service some, but over all it is in good to very good condition. The only small issue I had was with the second magazine that appears to be another brand or mfg. I did have to dremel/file the lip of the follower down to keep it from hitting the lip of the mag. I just made it match the other magazine. I fired the gun today and both mags and the gun performed FLAWLESSLY! If you own a 1911 then this gun is pretty much just like that so it is easy to take down and clean. Enjoy my video on this historic gun and GET YOURS NOW!
Great Shooter
Review by D on 10/20/2017
Awesome shooter for an awesome price. Function is flawless and condition is as described. Holster wear, but zero rust, good barrel. Hope you guys can get some more Polish/Romanian variants in, I'd buy them both!
Better than expected
Review by Charles on 8/21/2017
I was late to the party so I ordered one after the hand selects and crest editions were sold out. When mine came in it did have the Yugoslav crest on it(nice bonus) and was only moderately worn. I am not crazy about the added safety but I understand that it's an import rule and CF has no control over that. Cleaned it up, fired about 75 rounds through it and not a single hitch. Very happy to add this to my growing collection of firearms and I recommend Classic Firearms to anyone
It's a Tok! You can't go wrong.
Review by Shay on 8/2/2017
You buy a Tok for a reason! The 7.62x25mm round is awesome!!!!!! The tokarev I received probably had 60% bluing. Spot on with the description and grade. Functions flawlessly!
Great gun, but not quite as expected.
Review by MAL on 6/19/2017
It's a nice gun, for sure, but the quality wasn't quite as expected. Got the hand-picked version, and it's pretty well worn. I think I may have been at the end of the stock, so likely all good ones already have gone. It shoots straight, and I added a laser and flashlight (left-overs from the [almost] defunct Ramlite) and rubber grips. Overall a good deal; just expected slightly better condition.
First Classic order and first C&R order
Review by Anthony on 6/17/2017
First order from Classic, and all went well as I expected. Shipped pretty quick but did have the holiday weekend in between. Maybe not quite as good of condition as I was hoping for with hand select, but overall nice. I may have been overly optimistic. Would have given 5 stars, but mine had the dog nastiest excuse of a safety I have seen on these. Nothing like the one in the pics. It looked like a 5th grade metal work class got tasked with the job. Rough cut edges, tool marks, 1/2 blued, and the tip appeared to be broken of with pliers. I realize these are added later, and the quality of them does vary. I filed and sanded it, then Oxpho blued it. It now looks pretty good and almost appears to supposed to be there. Touched up some other areas, painted my safety dot red, and my letters and logo white. I submitted the before and after pics of my safety , and pic of the M57 after clean up. Thanks Classic!
Purchased 3 historic handguns in great shape
Review by Ronald on 6/10/2017
I purchased one of the TT-57 tokarevs and when I received it right away ordered 2 more. Classic firearms is the place to get great quality firearms used and new. I have always had a great experience and would've bought 3 more except they sold out. It was a little over two weeks and all the tokarevs are gone. I can't wait till they are back in stock that is a great gun all the way around. Great job classic firearms keep up the good work and please let me know when the tokarevs are back you guys have the best quality and the best deal out there.
Not What was Described
Review by AppalachianGunSlinger on 6/8/2017
I must have gotten down the the bottom of this batch. Though I did pay for hand select and did fortunately get a crested pistol. It was far from being Good to Very Good Condition. When I received the pistol I could not even operate the slide. It took a vice and a rubber mallet, with penetrating oil to even operate the pistol. It had a very worn magazine with little to no bluing left on it. The bluing on the gun was about 50% complete with pitting, and major rust around the magazine release. The Slide had minor putting as well. Though the bluing was a nice patent and plum color on the frame itself. The grips though covered in cosmoline where well worn. This looked as if this pistol had seen some pretty good use and would be what, from my previous experience a Fair to Surplus Good with rust example. The after thought of the safety was broken as well. Though I am still working through a resolution and return. I have had no major issues in getting my issues resolved besides being told a shipping label was inbound and not getting one. I am a bit peered by the fact that though I am local I am forced to pay for shipping instead of being able to drop by the warehouse especially with an FFL. I would hate to have a large order and miss out on the oppertunity to save on shipping. I hope that the owner reconsiders this policy on a one by one basis. I understand that they have a buisness to run. Yet a benefit of being closer is being able to interact at a level that is difficult to do online. I will note that this is the first issue I have had with Classic. I have been dealing with them at least since 2005 I do think earlier.
overall ok
Review by scottmh59 on 6/7/2017
paid for the hand select and got a rough standard. had a hell of a time getting the magazine out. it cleaned up decent so im overall happy. go into buying one with the idea that youll be getting a rougher gun than you think and anything more than that will just be a bonus.
High quality handgun
Review by James on 6/6/2017
Great price, quality handgun with only minor wear. Completely satisfied with this purchase from Classic.
Great Tokarev M57 Buy
Review by PA1911A1 on 6/4/2017
My first purchase form Classic Firearms and I must say what a great pistol. My Tokarev came better than expected, Very Good Condition, Yugoslavian crest, 6 torches, and manufactured somewhere between 1966-67 (rough estimate). The rifling was in very good condition, bright, and clean. Clean up was easy as they grease coating was light. Magazine had light rust but was easily cleaned with a little kroill. Truly appreciate everything the entire team does at Classic Firearms. My surplus 7.62x25 ammo is great, as is the 2nd magazine I purchased just to have a second.
Love this gun
Review by Michael on 6/3/2017
This is now easily my favorite pistol. It arrived covered in a little cosmoline, but cleaned up beautifully. This gun is a must-have in any collection. Shoots like a dream and is very ergonomic, even for my huge hands. Get one before they're gone. And yes 7.62x25 Tovarev ammo is readily available.
Yugo M57 review
Review by Danny on 5/30/2017
I did not opt for the hand select or guaranteed crest because I just wanted a shooter. I received what I consider a "good" grade pistol with a "weak" but still very visible 5-torch crest. There was expected bluing loss but the pistol is mechanically sound and cleaned up nicely. I am very happy with this firearm at this price and may order another before they're gone.
Great pistol, Great price
Review by Phillip on 5/29/2017
I oerdered my Tokerav after watching the C.F. video. I did pay $20 extra for hand select. Shipped to my FFL within days. Could not wait to see condition. I (along with my FFL) was floored on how great the condition was. No cosmoline, very clean. Received a pistol w/crest and did not pay extra for it. Obviously had been fired some but not a lot. Appears most of the wear was just from handling. Brought it home to break down, inspect and clean. Unbelievably clean. Very minimal orange dusting corrosion in barrel which cleaned easily. Headed back to the range the next day to see how it operated. I had a double feed about second mag in and flawless from there. I ran 150 rounds through it. Accuracy is a bit challenging as sights are small and hard to see. I ordered the spam can of ammo and will definitely put it in my range rotation. I ordered a extra mag and rubber combat grip off eBay. Interesting to own a piece of history for so little. Again, Classic Firearms knocks it out of the park. This is my third firearm purchase from them. I look forward to the daily emails to see what they have. Well done Classic Firearms!
Expected
Review by Steven-Stone on 5/27/2017
Preface: I bought one of these units with the intentions of it being a project gun. I did NOT pay the extra $20.00 for "Hand Select for Exterior Cosmetics" or the extra $10.00 for "Ensure The Pistol Has a Crest".
The GOOD: I was pleasantly surprised to see that I received one with the Crest in pristine condition. Machining marks around the trigger guard are a LOT better finished than the Chinese Norinco versions! Little to no holster wear on the frame and slide. VERY LITTLE cosmoline.
The UGLY: Also what I received was a unit that had a broken off lanyard loop on the frame (not that that is a big deal to me because I hate those things anyways), but I have a hole that I have to deal with.
The front and rear strap was starting to develop rust pitting.
The magazine had major rust and pitting on it, but still salvageable.
The EXPECTED: This unit had some bottom right hand side minor nicks and abrasions as well as a couple of the cocking serrations on the right hand side (which will clean up well with a file and sandpaper). Hand grips look like they had some minor "tossed about damage".
The IGNORANT: The after-thought with the import thumb safety - Holy crap! They may have just as well mounted a razor blade on the side of the frame! Did not know about the after-thought magazine removal safety either....it will not fire without a magazine in it.
All-in-all, what I received, is a decent Tokarev project, which was what I was looking for.
Would I buy another one of these M57 units for 200 bucks from Classic Firearms? damn right!
Awesome Shooter
Review by Tyler on 5/21/2017
Awesome Gun! Picked this up from Classic Firearms around Black Friday when it was selling for $199.99. Cleaning the cosmoline off revealed a beautiful gun. Mine was not hand select and came in beautiful shape with crest. Seriously my favorite gun to shoot at the range.

Only problem was the safety. For them to be legally imported into the U.S. a safety must be installed. Mine was a total hack job with burs and an ugly weld. Looked like crap and hurt the inside of thumb. Also caused the gun to be inoperable at times even with the safety off. I removed the safety and the gun works perfectly.
It's a Shooter!
Review by Paul on 4/15/2017
This handgun was on my short list and ordered one of these when they were on sale for $219. It arrived quickly and I was pleased at the overall condition, I'm not an expert at grading but would say it was good to very good just like it was advertised.

When I looked it over I noticed that when operating the slide it was very stiff and would stick when in all the way back. I field stripped it (there are some excellent videos on you tube covering this) thoroughly cleaned it and reassembled. Still had the sticky slide problem. After trying several things it seemed the safety was keeping the hammer assembly from seating all the way against the slide. I removed they safety (it was an added for import reasons) and the slide worked like it should.

I contacted the fine folks at Classic Firearms customer service and explained the problem. They offered to replace the whole gun but I said I would like to try just a safety. I received the new safety in just 2 days and this solved the problem. Great customer service!

When I took the gun to the range I couldn't believe how well it shoots...I uploaded a pic to the customer photos.

Great Gun and Great Deal!
AWESOME

this weapon was as advertised. right out of the box i was happy. another win for classic firearms.
Better than described
Review by Michael on 4/7/2017
The M57 I received was an M - prefix gun. I would rate it as excellent but some blueing has rubbed off of the left side of the slide.

Numbers match, dark rich blue and perfect bore. Smooth action and crisp trigger. Very clean milsurp pistol, an excellent price for a real military weapon.
First time customer, very pleased
Review by Peter on 4/5/2017
My first time buying from here and I'm very pleased. The gun was easy to strip, clean, and put back together. Very fun to shoot. Thanks!
Bluing gone, still pretty happy
Review by Pete on 4/4/2017
I wanted to wait for the price to drop to buy my first Tokarev. Sure enough, the price suddenly dropped $40 overnight, so I bought it. Evidently this was because the really nice ones had been sold and they were down to the less nice units.

Finish: Mine has almost no bluing left. Still a deal for the reduced price in my opinion. Given the cosmetic condition I would have expected it to be reserved for the special deal advertised as "#D-41875 - Great Deal of Bluing Lost -$15.00 (Out of stock)".

Grease: Contrary to many reviews, mine was NOT coated in cosmoline, which has a nice smell to my nose and is clear and sort of waxy and thin. Instead mine was lightly coated in old, sticky, stinky grease. That's OK, it kept it from rusting, but I ended up spending several hours completely stripping it (including hammer assembly & firing pin assembly and trigger and magazine and grips) to get the sticky grease removed.

Non-standard parts: It did NOT have the normal M57 captive recoil spring / guide rod / bushing. Instead is has the Russian TT33 assembly, which is NOT captive and thus flies apart when removed from the slide if you are expecting the M57 part in the M57 pistol. :o

Wear: Bore is somewhat worn, not mirror like many have reported, but seems OK, no pitting. I have not taken it to the range yet, but I have no reason to believe that it will have any problems shooting.

Value: As I say, even with the bluing gone, making it resemble galvanized steel in finish in many areas, I'm happy given the price and the smooth functioning once the sticky grease was removed. This photo makes it appear darker than it actually looks in normal light, but still it shows the overall good condition except for the bluing. https://goo.gl/photos/bh5N9HHBiFZtLwELA

Shipping: The gun was shipped out about 30 hours after I placed the order, using 2 day Fed-X. This was spectacular speed, far better than I expected. It was packed well enough in a Fed-X box. No shipping damage.

I've been buying from Classic Firearms for several years now and will continue to do so.
magazine problem
Review by michael on 4/4/2017
fast shipping as always from classics! BUT i was a bit disapointed on this purchase. the hand gun overall condition im fine with its the magazine or the magazine catch or what ever seems to be goin on. in order to load the mag you almost need to use a hammer to get it in, and to remove it you have to use a flat screwdriver to pry it out or a pair of pliers to pull it out. i cleaned the magazine inside and out, the release seems to function,,,,,,so i dont know whats the real issue, i dont want to buy a magazine to find thats not the problem.
anyway--- am i the only one with this problem? if not, whats the fix????? id hate to see this thing turn into a dust collector
the pistol itself has its wear on it. i knew goin into the buy it would. so no issues their from me..,...
First Semi-Auto Handgun
Review by Aaron on 3/28/2017
This was my first semi-auto handgun in my collection of military surplus. I must say I absolutely love it. I have fairly large hands and it is comfortable and fun to shoot! I ordered an extra magazine and it was a little stiff at first but that's probably because it was brand new. The only thing I'm not too keen on is the safety. It's hard to manipulate on and off but it is functional. I'm not faulting Classic Firearms on this because they didn't add it to the firearm. I would like to praise Classic Firearms on speed of delivery. I ordered this on a Friday morning and had it in my hands by Saturday at 10am. I didn't even pay for expedited shipping. Very happy with this purchase.
Ugly but functional
Review by J. on 3/21/2017
Ordered the m57 in March of 2017. Everything appears functional (minus the bent over lanyard loop) but the finish is not great by any means. They were out of hand select when I ordered so it was stated that pistols would be "good / very good." I would rate mine on the very bottom of good. If I end up selling it I will say it is poor with rust pitting throughout the pistol. In addition they shipped to the wrong address but luckily I still received it. The only bonus is the cool looking crest on the top of the slide. For the cost, I would recommend buying this.
Yugo M57
Review by Tyler on 3/12/2017
Great gun. Shoots very well. Only downfall is the safety had to be removed for it to operate. It is a shame they had to destroy these guns by drilling a hole thru them. I had to order expensive wood grips from Marschalgrips.com to cover the ugly hole. Great gun otherwise. Ran through first 50 rounds flawlessly.
Great Gun
Review by Karlos on 3/4/2017
Got one of these on sale for $219.00 when they were on sale cleaned the cosmoline off this is a beautiful gun it goes boom not bang every time thanks Classic Firearms.
Better Then I Expected
Review by Michael on 3/3/2017
Love it!
First time to shooting range and I had three people ask what I'm shooting! They was impressed with the looks of the pistol and how loud it was! Will buy another when they go back on sale!
Thanks Classic Firearms!
Well pleased with my Tokarev!
Review by Steven on 2/27/2017
Mine came lightly packed with cosmoline, a good soaking and brushing in mineral spirits took care of that. Finish as described, all matching numbers, bore in great shape. Grips and all external parts in good shape. Ordered with spare mag and 72 round box of surplus 1980's ammo, I waited until shooting to review. 3 FTF in first couple of mags, after that no issues at all. Pretty impressive for a cleaned up 55 year old pistol and 30 something year old ammo, I'm confident that there will be no issues with new loads. This is my second milsurp pistol purchase from Classic Firearms, my Bulgarian Makarov came clean as a pin and has never missed a beat. Great folks to do business with!
Eh
Review by Daniel on 2/27/2017
There wasn't a hand select option so I it was kind of a dice roll. Pretty rough on the outside. The "safety" was totally useless and literally wouldn't work and was just held in place by the grips. Inside looks fine. I really like it but again pretty rough. Don't expect an almost new pistol like you used to be able to get out of these m57s
A Piece of Cold War History
Review by Eric on 2/26/2017
If you are a gun collector like I am, this is a must have. Pick one up before it is too late as the hand select option is no longer being offered. I rolled the dice hand and purchased a Takerov a couple of weeks ago. I specifically wanted a Yugo one so it would complement my Yugo NPAP AK variant. I received the gun very dirty and full of cosmoline. After a few hours of painstakingly cleaning the gun, I was very happy with my purchase. I was lucky enough to receive an all parts matching Takerov. Overall and despite the age of the gun, I am very happy with my purchase. The only draw back is the current price of the ammo. Thanks again Classic for offering a piece of cold war history.
Satisfied Customer
Review by randall on 2/24/2017
Received my M57 earlier this week. Came with a light coat of cosmoline, readily removed by soaking in mineral spirits. Unlike the P64s (2) I bought last year, this pistol has clearly been worn. Likely explains why there was no hand-pick option when I purchased—the cosmetically pristine pistols have probably been sold already. Anyway, not a problem—I kinda like the worn look.

The add-on safety is a bit of a joke. If it’s not fully rotated CW and wedged against the slide, it can be rotated CCW and released by rocking the trigger. Not something you would want to rely upon. Again, not a problem, as I recognize the safety wasn't part of the gun's original design.

Took the gun to the range today: 50 rounds, functioned perfectly, no complaints. Dig the big flames coming out of the barrel, and the spent cases spraying everywhere are a bit comical. My buddy standing a few feet behind me got whacked pretty good in the lip by a flying case; he joked you could take out a bad guy standing behind you by shooting him with a spent case. Good fun.
Ok deal for the money
Review by Donald on 2/9/2017
Got my m57 today and overall Im ok with It. They didnt have anymore hand select so I had to settle for this one which wasnt as nice as the others whi had recently bought this batch. The slide had nasty scrapes where previous owner must have used a strew driver to slide the takedown pin,3 small patches of pitting, saftey was broke had to remove it and the bluing was around 50%. Like i said for the price Im ok with the purchase and plan to do more business with Classic just hope next firearm is like the reviews i see on here.
Nice Gun but mag needed work
Review by Hardy on 2/6/2017
Got my Tokarev via 2 day FedEx. Went straight to workbench to remove the cosmoline. Gun had some wear but that was to be expected. Bore looks sharp.
The mag wouldn't lock in. After filing some on the notch it started to lock. I left it at that hoping it would wear in. The mag was well worn. So I ordered another one. I'm hoping it will lock in . Am itching to go to range and try it out!!!

Very nice Yugo M57 Tokarev
Review by John on 2/2/2017
Received my Tokarev yesterday. Firearm was shipped with a 2 day delivery via Fedex. It arrived on time as Fedex is very good in this area. The Tokarev was covered in cosmoline, but after a couple of hours of cleaning and lubricating, the pistol was ready to be checked out. All in all the surface had the usual wear indicators, but nothing radical. The trigger pull comes in at about 7 1/2 lbs.The safety works as prescribed, although it is physically a little rough around the edges. The barrel has very good rifling and I may polish it up a bit. The magazine appears to be an original, based on wear, but it does function. I also ordered a spare mag, which was wrapped separately and appeared to be brand new in its own wrapper. I had to order some ammo so no test firing has been done yet and I'm actually mulling over purchasing a 2nd Tokarev from Classic. 5 stars all around for this one.
Good Shooter

Ordering was very easy and they got my gun to me quick. I thought the gun showed more ware than I expected, but I ran a box of PPU ammo through it and it preformed like a champ. Great Fun.
Gotta getcha one…….or two
Review by Ken on 1/28/2017
Just received mine last night and spent the evening doing the detailed strip to remove the cosmoline. Cosmetics are exactly as advertised. I know Classic Firearms' write up stated they cannot guarantee the barrel condition but mine is bright with very strong rifling. Could not be happier. Can't wait to get it to the range. Just may have to order a second one this weekend.

Purchased on 1/23 and there was only 3 in stock. It arrived on 1/26 with my C&R. I recieved numbers matching including barrel. Finish showed slight wear from being holstered. I'm very pleased with the quality even considering it was one of the last ones in stock. Thanks Classic Firearms.
An excellent pistol - AND a bargain!
Review by SBJ on 1/26/2017
I ordered an M57 Tokarev pistol from Classic Firearms and was impressed how quickly it arrived. It was in very good condition, and only needed some cleaning (which I enjoy - at least on firearms) to be ready for action. Someone forgot to send the accessory I ordered along with the M57, but a quick message to customer service using the website form and the accessory was on the way and all was well.
Better than expected
Review by Zach on 1/22/2017
Just received this pistol from classic and couldn't be happier. I'd say the finish is about 95%. Nothing but a little minor holster wear, but a pistol of this model and age can be expected to be less that 100%. In addition, I believe it gives the gun some character, which I personally like. After cleaning up the cosmoline, which wasn't even that bad, the pistol looks amazing. Knowing there were no guarantees on the bore considering the likely use of corrosive ammo, I was very pleased to see a bright shiny bore with absolutely 0 defects whatsoever. At $220 this is a great pistol for a great price. As has always been my experience, classic delivers on quality.
Awesome quality
Review by Steven on 1/21/2017
I have been thinking of ordering a Tokarev and one day I finally bit the bullet and got one. Man am I glad I did, what an awesome firearm. The gun still had great bluing, if you didn't know better it looks like a new gun (once the comsoline is cleaned off). The rifling was cherry to say the least. Everything on this gun is in good working order. I am very pleased, this is the second order from Classic Firearms, but will definitely not be the last.
Yugoslavian M57 standard pick wow in perfect shape hand picked must be outstanding.
Review by Richard on 1/20/2017
For not a hand pick this is in wonderful shape from being from the 50s. I can not complain at all. Took 3 days to get to my FFL and had them on file took it apart ramp had no wear barrel is in perfect condition shiny no pitting. All I can say is get them before their gone you should be disappointed.

Bought the Yugoslavian M57 TT Tokarov Pistol. Pistol arrived in a few days and was much nicer than I had anticipated. The bluing was almost wear free and the bore looked like new. Pistol worked perfect at the range. My 4th purchase from Classic Firearms and I have never been disappointed.

Some handling marks, and bluing loss at sharp edges, but overall looks very nice. Shiny bore. On sale for $220, no hand pick option available, I'm please. I doubt a hand pick would be any nicer. Covered in thin layer of cosmo, this washed up nicely.

Had some trepidation about this as the NRA grade was good/very good, plus I was too late for a hand select grade, so I bought a standard grade. I had previously bought a Bulgarian Makarov from Classic and that was flawless, so I took a chance on the Tokarev. What I got was in very good condition with some bluing and handle wear, but had good rifling and worked perfectly. No complaints about this as it exceeded my expectations. All I can say is this is a great pistol. It's like owning a old school 1911 in the really awesome 7.62 X 25 caliber. As others have noted there is nothing special about the fixed sights, but they were right on the mark when test fired. I do not like the add on safety and found this to be crude, but this is a well noted flaw as well. Other than these two comments, this is one great pistol that worked flawlessly running a box of Prvi Partizan FMJ through it. As a C & C pistol, it is very slim, but there is no way to carry a round in the chamber safely, you must cock the hammer before firing the first round, and a 7.62 X 25 will blow right through anyone you shoot with it, putting bystanders being at increased risk, so I cannot recommend it for that purpose. The Bulgarian Makarov I bought previously serves very well for that purpose for me.
Very good condition indeed.

Extremely fast shipping , less than 48 hours and my FFL dealer called me !! The gun it self is in very good and clean conditions. I'm extremely happy with the purchase. There's no packaging at all when I got it , just the handgun and a magazine in it . However, the magazine is not the 9 rounder , it's the 8 rounds one and it doesn't fit smoothly. I had to hard tab it in order to lock .

Tokarev safety mechanism
Review by Lionel on 12/21/2016
The gun in itself came in an excellent condition, very satisfied with that . The only issue is the safety which I have expected to look like in the one depicted in the advertising picture on line. It does not look like that and it does not quite work very well , it looks that I will have to spend some time to look at it . Other Yugo Tokarevs that I own have exactly the type of safety as in the picture which is a much better design in my opinion.
very good

Should Have Paid for hand Select
Review by Mark on 12/8/2016
Nice gun, shipped quickly but in a lot rougher shape than those others have posted pictures of. Very dull bluing, some pitting and looks well used. Bore seems good though. Next time I'll pay the extra $20 I guess. That being said the P64 I received in the same order was beautiful.

OK Pistol
Review by Devin on 11/20/2016
Well the one I got seems to work and be in decent shape. The bore looks frosty but rifling seems pretty strong. The chamber is rusty (seems like somewhat minor surface rust, it may wear away with use) and parts of the barrel have surface rust spots. Haven't fired it yet but as long as the chamber rust doesn't interfere with extraction this is tolerable. As advertised, overall, since they warn the bore may not be perfect. I am still surprised about the chamber condition, however.

Finish wear on mine is pretty bad for a hand select. Several spots on the pistol have surface rust and/or missing finish. The rear sight is dinged on the right outer corner. The mag well is rusty near the bottom inside. The added thumb safety on mine must be an early solution because it looks like an amateur made it in their spare time. It does not have a painted red dot or the slide cut like the pictured one does. The drilled holes are very obvious and not cleanly done. The safety lever itself looks poor quality and is probably made of cheap metal (mine shows spots of blue oxidation on it). It also seems loose, I am worried that it may be able to flip out of the off position when firing as they did not drill a detent for the off position of the safety.

In closing, I somewhat regret pulling the trigger on this purchase, especially the hand select. It could be that stock on these is dwindling and maybe the bunch that is left are real turds and I really did get the best of a bad bunch. But I fully expect this will still be a good shooter at the range.

My first purchase from Classic Firearms. I could not be more pleased. This is a "Must Have" for people interested in foreign firearms. I am seriously considering buy a second one. At the range everyone wanted to know where to get a M57. especially after they saw the six foot flame when it was fired.

Review by Conrad on 10/7/2016
I ordered this Yugoslavian M57 on a Monday and received it on a Thursday, so needless to say the logistics and shipping carried out by Classic are phenomenal!

As for the pistol itself, I opted for the "hand select" grade this time and it seems to have really payed off. The blueing on my M57 is about 92-95% and all of the wear seems to be from storage. When I bought the M57 I accepted the fact that the bore would be dark and corroded because of the corrosive ammunition used by the Eastern Block states. This assumption was COMPLETELY wrong. My bore is bright and excellent. Once I got all of the cosmoline off of the pistol it functioned like a dream. Cycling is not an issue and it is a joy to shoot.

All in all this was a win for me. Classic Firearms provided excellent service and an excellent product for a great price. I would certainly recommend this to anyone.

Review by Matthew on 9/13/2016
Good condition, numbers match. Some muzzle wear but bluing is 98% or so. Bore is mirror bright. No complaints here. Trigger is quite stiff but shoots straight. Only had time to run a couple of mags to check function. Came completely dry. Old oil had dryed up long ago. Love the 7.62 round.

I just brought this one out to the range today. I ran through a box of fiocchi with no jams and as accurately as the sights will allow. I also brought along some hard primered yugo surplus ammo to test out the firing pin and hammer strength, again no jams and it nailed every round home.
Cannot beat the M57 in 7.62x25
Review by Phil on 9/9/2016
This pistol is one of my favorites and I have purchased and own several. This one was a hand select and it came with about 80% bluing and no other issues such as dings or scratches. Looks great as is, well worn and has great lock up. The feel of the hammer on this pistol is one of the best of the Tokarev's that I own. Really pleased with this purchase. Classic was great on the deliver side and price.

Just for everyone out there looking to get the fair or poor condition offerings: as stated in description, the fair or poor is cosmetic only.... I ordered a poor condition option and only issue was worn off bluing, had a lot of cosmoline, great grips, all matching numbers and functions flawlessly... thoroughly cleaned, and fired flawlessly. bore originally looked very frosty, but looked mirror smooth after firing and complete cleaning. For a "poor" condition gun, it was in great shape, but had about 20-30% bluing left on gun. As for me, I love the old patina guns as long as they function properly. Dont hesitate to order one of these or any Guns from Classic !!!
Romanian Tokerev Pistol
Review by Mongo on 9/18/2014
Just got my pistol yesterday. Wow was that fast, I think it only took 2 or 3 days. I opened the package to find a very new looking piece. It is no less than Bee-youuu-Teee-Full. Not a mark on the bluing and functions wonderfully. I was really amazed at the condition, of course it was soaked in oil but that's O.K. I took the hand select option and if this is any indication of what "hand select" will be in the future, I'll be ordering more. This is one nice pistol I will be proud to show off at the range. Thanks Classic, great job.
Awesome!
Review by Ian on 11/7/2013
I ordered my Yugo with hand select and two mags to my door for under 220 dollars and it was a KILLER deal.

The thing was packed in cosmoline, but I really enjoy learning the inner workings of a new gun as I fully break it down to clean it up. I personally get a big tub of mineral spirits (I filter it after and reuse the same stuff many times). I'll get a manual out or call up a YouTube video to learn the process if I don't already know, and I start dropping the individual parts in the tub of spirits. I will wipe off big chunks sometimes, but the stuff just melts away in the tub.

I let everything soak for a while, give each part a good shake under the spirits, then start taking each part out and QUICKLY wiping it down and giving it a generous coat of oil. Don't leave parts un-oiled for any longer than you have to after the mineral spirit bath.

After cleaning and oiling each part, I wipe off excess oil and assemble. I just thought I would share my process as I'm a collector and that's what works for me time after time. Pour the spirits through a coffee filter and use it for next time.

On to the Yugo M57. This thing was, from what I can tell, either an AWESOME arsenal refurb, or an unfired example. The barrel is immaculate. Not a sign of having ever been fired. Same with the mags and the rest of the gun. There are a few small scratches on the slide from handling and storage (possibly when the safety was added-if that wasn't an original part like with the Romanian Tok). I'm very pleased with my purchase and feel I got a heck of a nice pistol for 220 bucks total.

Negatives: the machine work on the inside of the slide is a bit rough. My Romanians action is smooth as glass, this is a bit rough. It will smooth out with use, and won't impact function. That's the only negative. The small scratches aren't negatives to me because the person who picked this for hand select couldn't possibly have seen them through the Cosmo, and they are very small

Pros: price, finish, bore/barrel, grips, longer grip than all the other Tok versions (the others feel too short in my hand, this one is perfect), two mags, Classic sent it out FAST with 3 day shipping (which took USPS 6 days, typical!)

Sorry for the long review and any errors, I'm writing this on my phone. Very pleasant transaction, very awesome gun. I have not shot it yet but expect great things. It cycles my homemade dummy rounds just fine and trigger feels decent. I expect the trigger and action to improve with use. I see there are only two left in stock as I write this. GET ONE, and get yourself a Yugo SKS and/or Mauser to go with it. They make nice firearms.

Thanks classic. I may do a video review when I get to the range with it. That'll be a first for me but might be fun!
Great Pistol

Review by Gary on 9/17/2013
My hand picked Yugo M57 with two mags arrived in near-new condition under a layer of cosmoline. Strip, clean, inspect, lube, reassemble and check-out revealed a perfectly functioning pistol (including the USA mandated safety). Very, very, very light, minor internal wear marks, a clean and shinny bore, and no holster wear on the outside. It was either not used or minimal used. Range tested using FMJ and JHP (hard to find PPU JHP) with no issues and great accuracy.

Tokarev was in perfect condition, appears to be unissued. No scratches, wear, bore crisp and unworn. Heavily packed in cosmoline, but well worth the effort to clean it. Have put over 200 rounds through it with no problems. Really loud, blows out fireballs like my wifes XD compact. Great fun. Shipped to my door 3 days after ordering!! Review by yoggibear60 on 7/7/2013
Classic Firearms went above and beyond with my purchase of a Yugo M57 Tokarev. This my third go-round with them and they are the best. The Yugo is absolutely beautiful but I had many jams with various ammo and three different mags and the trigger needs a lot of work. I'm currently dissecting it and replacing ALL the internals. It will be a fine shooter when I'm done. Really like the nine round mag--it fits my big hands soooo much better than the rest of the Tokarevs. ! Thank's Classic Firearms.

Got mine cleaned up. Under all of the cosmoline was a well used, but well taken care up numbers matching pistol. Early 60's production with an honest amount of holster wear, but mechanically very sound. Only issue that I've had is keeping my brother from using up all of my ammo when we go to the range.
Another Winner From Classic Firearms!
Review by L.S. on 5/15/2013
Underneath the sticky cosmoline, I discovered a pristine, matching Tokarev M57 that shows no sign of ever having been used. Other than a few handling marks, the finish shines in all areas like it did when it left the factory in 1963. This is the second gun I've ordered hand select, and Classic has again not disappointed. Even the two magazines are in new, unused condition. I could not be more satisfied! Thanks, Classic!

Like others who have reviewed this firearm, I was blown away by its factory-new condition. The bore looks like it has never been in service, and no nicks or dings were present; the bluing was excellent (for a military sidearm), as well. I don't have any ammo for it, so I haven't taken it to the range; but, by the accounts of other purchasers, it should be fun when I do!

Hand Select = Unissued
Review by Andrew on 4/26/2013
I purchased the hand select version. Classic Arms' description is very very conversative. I can confirm the unit I received is unissued and unfired. Because of this, the magazine will need to be broken-in in order to be installed/ejected reliably. There are some minor tool marks (not Classic Firearms fault in any way). I am very happy with Classic Firearms!

Great C&R purchase
Review by Kate on 4/9/2013
Went ahead and bought the M57 for my first C&R hand gun purchase. Price was good, and came with two mags. So I .thought "why not." Ordered on a Thursday, and came that Saturday! Even with the disclaimer of 5 to 7 days before shipping. Gun looked good, smeared in Cosmo, as were the mags. Soaked it over night, and realized it was near perfect condition. Barrel was as perfect inside, although it had been used. Grips had a ding or two. But over all, it was perfect! Classic is the best!!!! Can't wait to do more business with you guys.

Review by CopeMeister on 4/7/2013
My Classic Firearms Yugo M57TT, 7.62X25 caliber rates a solid 4 Stars and here is why. The pistol arrived promptly as advertised. I paid for the hand select and the pistol is in great shape, shiny clean bore, minimal bluing wear and no damage to the grips. Great job Classic Firearms! The only scratch on the frame is where the ATF mandated safety was installed by the importer. I rated it 3 stars for the following reason: #1 I have consistent FF with all of the magazines ( I have 3 and am using S&B ammo) I have cleaned the pistol thoroughly and have taken the magazines apart two times and have cleaned and lightly oiled the mag spring and I checked the followers to be sure they are not hanging up. #2 AMMO, the only down side with the purchase of any TT (7.62X25) is there is NO ammo available anywhere! Luckily I was able to purchase a few boxes of S& B ammo at a local shop. I will be shooting it sparingly and will be savoring every shot. It is fun piece to shoot! I will definitely but from Classic Firearms in the future.

This gun is great a 100% hit in my book its worth the 10 extra for hand picking. If you are a first time buyer and need some help cleaning off old cosmoline my advice is to stop and buy some cheap charcoal lighter fluid to clean your new pistol with. Cosmoline is hard to get off charcoal lighter fluid does thing and doesn't hurt your gun finish. If you have compressed air or air compressor it makes it even easier. I tore mine down and cleaned it and oiled in less than 15 minutes. Charcoal lighter fluid at fred's is $2.50 Hoppe's 8-9 dollars and stinks and is white kerosene with some different solvents. W-D 40 works well two and is about the same. I do recommend so type of good quality gun oil and grease like Hopppes or 3-In-ONE oil works well to.

Review by Larry on 4/5/2013
I received my M57 today. I ordered it on April 2 and received it on April 5, and I live 1500 miles from Classic Firearms. The pistol looks like it was never issued. Looks like it was made and then put in cosmoline and stored away. Not a scratch on it and I haven't cleaned it yet, kbut I know the barrel has to be primo. I have read a lot of reviews about Classic that have been terrible about their service but this is the fifth time I have ordered from Classic and each time I had my stuff within 3 - 5 days. The quality of everything I have received from Classic was as advertised or better. I would say this pistol is Excellent+++.

I ordered this gun with the hand select option and am extremely happy. It came coated with a bit of grease that was easily taken off with a degreaser bath and some wiping. It looks brand new with almost no wear, the bore is mirror bright and the numbers are all matching. I am extremely happy and will be taking this gun out for a shoot later today. Couple of things you need to beware of
Review by Ken on 3/26/2013
The people at classic did a great job. Very quick response with a couple of questions I had and overall quick shipping considering the market right now. However the gun is very cool. But it would way cooler if the grips matched one had the star as advertised the other grip was different. Which I emailed classic and their response was sorry but luck of the draw. Also two small Knicks on top of the slide which is what it is old gun and I didn't pay for hand pick I think that is a silly thing to pay extra for a gun that is covered in cosmoline. Other issue took the gun out and shot it after I cleaned it very well. The slide had a tendency to stay back every couple of shots. A quick nudge to the back of the slide and it would return forward. I took it home cleaned it again and haven't shot it since but i think it will be fine now. Lots of buried cosmoline on these thing. Truly beside those couple things the gun looks new including the bore. I really like this gun overall and the round itself is smokin fast. The only reason it got 4 stars rather than 5 because of the none matching grips. I think that should have been mentioned in the description.

It was shipped to my ffl in about 5 days which for the way things things are right now I was shocked! The gun came caked in cosmo but that was ok cause that allowed me to take it complely apart and get into the nook and crannies and really get to know my gun. I believe that it was a non issued pistols cause the barrel looked brand new. Classic was great and I would have no hesitation ordering anything else from them!

Received firearm from FFL and was more than happy! I have'nt removed the cosmoline but one can clearly see that the firearm is unused or excellent condition. It feels great in my hand and not stubby like the Polish model, the balance is also great and the trigger pull is amazingly lite. I plan to use mineral spirits to clean and soak my 7 magazines as well. After I take it to the range I'll updat the results.

Get them while they're available, I am!

Review by Eric on 3/16/2013
From the moment I unpacked the pistol, cleaned of the cosmoline and worked the action I was pleased. i paid for han select and the finish was in great condition(some minor surface scuff marks). The bore was clean with no signs of wear. The pistol is heavy for its size, after all it is all steel, but it has excellent balance and feels good in the hand(I have medium hands with stubby fingers). Field strip is super quick and easy this is now the ONLY pistol I don't mind cleaning! Took it to the range and it performed flawlessly. I ran 100 rds of Sellier&bellot without a hiccup. I must admit that I forgot that these mags hold 9 rounds so I only loaded 8. Its very snappy with a LOUD bang but recoil in minimal. Really tight goups at 7-10yrds. Th e sights take some getting use to and are not so visible in low light. Also the magazines do not drop away. I will probaly apply some hi viz dots to the sights. I know these are 50 year old guns but the quality you get at this price is timeless...Now if couls only find some ammo without taking out a second mortgage. BUY THIS GUN!

I received my M57 TT more than a month ago and it was my first order from this company and boy, they did it right.I had the hand select with extra mag and the gun is in excellent, almost brand new condition. It came covered in cosmoline but not really bad.I love this gun,it feels just right in my hand with the longer grip and the extra capacity magazine, better than the Romanian TTC which I have.I also like the fact, that it's from a country that no longer exists and with the small little Yugo crest on the top of barrel.Get them while you can folks. The only set back right now is the ammo shortage for the gun, even the surplus is disappearing, hopefully will go away.
Thanks Classic Firearms for the sweet deal.

An opportunity to own a piece of history
Review by John on 3/8/2013
The gun was virtually in a new condition when I received it. It's impressive and different from its cousins as it holds 9 rounds rather than 8. After a thorough bath, the M57 appeared ready for the range. Although I've not had a chance to try it out at the range, the anticipation is pretty intensed. These relics will soon disappear not because of shortages - but rather due to gun grabbers and bureaucracy being played out in DC. Get one while you can before these guns can no longer be imported. As you may have noticed, ammo for the Toks is very hard to find.

M57 Exceeds Expectations
Review by djbutts on 3/2/2013
The M57 exceeds the expectations that I had. When I cleaned off the grease I had a NEW pistol with no scratches or dings of any kind. The barrel looked as if it had never been shot. The two mags was the same, no marks at all. I am glad I got the hand select. The service was outstanding. Ordered on Monday and received it today (Fri). Thanks Classic for the excellent service. Looking forward to doing more business with you. Thanks, Donald.
Yugo perfection!

I purchased a Yugo M57 TT from Classic and received an unissued beauty! Don't think its ever been fired. A few minor packing scratches but overall brand new. Thank you Classic Firearms. M38 wasn't perfect but my P64, CZ82 and Tokarev are!!

Just wanted to say I had a great experiance.
My order went along easily & had very fast shipping. I received a very nice Yugo M57 that looked unissued & had a perfect bore. The gun has a few tiny scratches but otherwise looked perfect. Thanks for your great service

What a steal!
Review by veprfan on 2/24/2013
This has to be the best deal in c&r firearms out there! Its the loudest gun I have ever owned, but its simple to disassemble, and feels great in the hand. I've heard some people prefer the tt33, which I have not fired myself, but the grip frame on the m57 feels absolutely perfect in length to me, and an extra round is never a bad thing. Classic Firearms sent me one that looks almost flawless, and at this price I don't know how you can beat it!
great gun, great service

I put my C & R license in on Tues. It was in system next a.m. so I ordered my great Yugo M57 and got it on Friday. Gun looks like brand new, no loss of blueing and clean barrel. Great to deal with Classic, I have my eye on another C & R item. Classic is A 1 ,
Perfect M57

All I can say is this M57 came to me like new. I can't see any evidence it has ever been fired! It will definitely be my primary carry gun.

This is the second Tokarev I've bought from Classic. This gun was packed with cozmoline but cleaned up to be in excellent condition. Not a scratch or blemish anywhere. Buy with confidence from Classic Arms.
NIce Gun, Slow fulfilment
Review by DD on 2/16/2013
I ordered this Yugo Tokarev at the end of December and didn't receive it til Mid January. One pistol permit expired by then, but with the holiday season and all I understand.

The gun however is NICE!. It had some cosmo on it but cleaned up easily. The finish is almost new. Very little wear. The import marking is a little excessive and the Yugo crest is smaller and less defined then I expected but that's all minor. I like that it came w/two mags and the integral safety is much nicer than the POS that is retro-fitted like on my Romanian.

Buy one, or two. Cuz when your friends see it, they will want one. Too bad ammo is scarcer and more expensive than it used to be.

This gun has a narrow profile and low kick. I like the way it chambers the next round when a full clip hits home.
All my purchases fro Classic have been great
very nice

I purchased two of the Tokarev pistols.. they are both like new, and from tearing them down I would almost say that they are or were hardly ever used, very bright bore, the mags were new, not even a scratch on them.. very much like a 1911 as far as shape and design, I have not shot it yet, but I researched quite a bit and these things are rock solid, and very accurate.. My Sig .40 is now gathering dust, because with the advantage of armor piercing bullets, I feel much safer in a heavy cover situation with this bad boy.. so it is now the gun that rides shotgun in my glove box.. I can't believe they have any left, wish I could justify buying a couple more with the wife! firing pin is a bit$! to get back in, but there is a great video on youtube that shows the way to do it..farted around for three hours trying to reinsert it, but after seeing the video got it the first try.. only concern I have is the availability of cheep surplus ammo, got 1260 rounds but would feel better if I had a couple thousand more
Old as me - but twice as fun
Review by William on 1/5/2013
Received my M57 the day after Christmas and I am impressed. Though not one of the pristine, looks-like-its-never-been-fired examples you’ll read about from other reviewers…this pistol looks pretty darn good. Even though I paid for hand pick, I can’t blame the packer for the minor surface imperfections - It came out of the box so slathered in cosmoline that it was barely recognizable as a gun. Gave me the chance to try the charcoal lighter fluid method to clean it. Works like a dream. Quick trip to the range revealed a minor problem with the safety – it engaged after every shot, blocked the trigger. A little research, a little filing and we are good to go. Accurate, loud and a pleasure to shoot. I think I know what my son in law is getting for Christmas next year.
As for customer service; Even during the Great Flu Epidemic of 2012 and the end of year, tragedy-fueled panic, the folks at Classic Firearms came through with flying colors. All things considered, shipping was fast – and incredibly reasonable. This was my first purchase from Classic, but – as others have said – it won’t be my last.
Very Pleased

Outstanding Yugo M 57 TT Tokarev Pistol - 7.62 x 25
Review by Mike on 12/18/2012
Picked the gun up today and it appears to be mint and unfired. Blueing and function of the gun is simply outsanding. Both magazines look mint. The barrel is shiny like a mirror and no evidence of being fired. Gun came in protective greese so cleaning is a must. Customer service at Classic Arms is outstanding. This is my first time as a customer and will buy more products.
Excellent Yugo M57 TT Tokarev
Review by Ezveedub on 12/14/2012
I purchased this Yugo M57 TT a few weeks ago and did hand select option. I got what appears to have been a fairly new M57 with almost no usage what so ever. The finish was excellent with no signs of any wear at all. It only had maybe a minor nick or so and only rubbing of the bluing at the very edges of the firearm from storage/handling, but none from any usage. The internals appears to also have almost zero usage, even the magazines. Operating the firearm was a bit rough at first, as it seems it was never broken in or used. The first few rounds chambered where rough, but that has since smoothed out. I may polish the feed ramp, as it still looks like it never had any rounds chambered though it before. The operation of the firearm has since smoothed out after cleaning and lubing it after a few operations of the firearms. Overall, I'm very pleased with this Yugo M57 TT from Classic Firearms.
Minor issues. But nice gun

My first C&R purchase. Things couldn't have gone better with Classic. Ordered on monday, got the gun on saturday. As for the gun itself, it looks to be unfired, just packed in cosmoline, as to be expected, but the gun is just perfect, and the 2 magazines is a really nice touch.
Nice!

Review by Fred on 12/1/2012
First off, I would like to Thank everyone at Classic Firearms, They are selling top of the line .Ive looked at many, many of these style pistol and have yet to find anyrthing which comes close to these. After much cleaning I uncovered what looks like a brand new pistol with a bore as clean as a new modern firearm. It shoots as well as it looks. My mistake was not to order two! I ordered a hand picked on Black Friday and I was picking it up on a Tuesday, at my local gun dealer, the turn around time was great. Keep up the good work guys and gals. Cant wait for my Yugo M24 8mm bent bolt, hand select, matching#s rifle..
Nice size gun
Review by Ken on 11/2/2012
I bought one of each Tokarevs- A Yugo, Romanian, and Polish.

The Polish guns are the nicest finished.

The Yugo model I receiver was very nice, but I had problems with the magazine releasing from the gun. I wound up removing the magazine disconnect and that completely cleared up the problem, and smoothed the trigger pull as well.

The magazine now drops right out.

I also found metal filings in the frame when I stripped the gun down to clean out the cosmoline. Apparently the arsenal drilled the holes for the safeties and didn't take the time to remove the metal shavings inside the frame when they were done.

No damage was done to the gun, and it cleaned up nicely.

This model of the Tokarevs feels the best in your hand due to the longer frame that gives you an extra round in the magazine. Just remember that the magazines with this model is not interchangeable with the others. However CZ52 magazines can be modified by making a notch in them for the magazine release and they will function well in these models.

Just remember these Yugo models have a magazine disconnect that prevents you from squeezing the trigger & dropping the hammer without a magazine inserted. They are easy to remove, and unneccesary.
Good service. A reliable, quality firearm.

The guys at Classic helped me out and gave me a memorable and enjoyable experience getting this gun. I will never forget personal attention and the courtly manner of all of the staff I encountered.
This is a a reliable, quality firearm for a very modest price.. This is a great shooter, very well made and will last forever. if you look closely this pistol has so many things in common with the 1911 .45 ACP and Colt 1903 .32 Hammerless that you could put it in the same category as those two classics. Smooth, snaggless, natural pointer and reliable shooter. Where it diverges is that it takes down much easier (blowback) and it's one vulnerable point (slide stop clip) can be field replaced with common e or o clips. The Tokarev fires a quick, potent round with good penetration and while not .45 should be feared like one. The 7.25x.25 is an old Comm block round that is overlooked in the west although the .327 Federal nods to it, that doesn't stop Albania from burning their excess every day. One day, Tokarevs of all types will rare and hard to get but until that long off day, dig in and enjoy. i plan to get several more and would love to make one into a carbine or SBR
Excellent

Have two, both shoot great. The Tokarev round shoots pretty flat. And shoots a pretty neat flame out of the end of the barrel!
