Went to the FFL to pick rifle up, did the transfer. When I got home I stripped it for initial cleaning. Lots of metal shavings left in there from the factory. And then bam. I saw it. The gas block was leaning to the right, and the front sight post was leaning to the left. When you looked down the barrel it was crooked as can be. Called classic, said nothing they could do and I would have to call century Arms who said 3-4 months turn around time if i sent it in for repair. I opted to just live with it. The rifle functions great and the crooked parts don't affect anything. I have it zeroed in perfectly at 50 yards (straight out of the box it was wayyy off). Had to replace the wood furniture, comes with very very cheap wood. Overall i wasn't happy, but the rifle functions great and is accurate. So just beware you should carefully inspect the AK before accepting the transfer.

OK, it is an AK. It runs. But the mag well is too tight to run steel mags. I have taken a file to it. I need to get it back to the range, but I think the issue is resolved.

The newer manufactured WASR's are rugged, reliable rifles that are an excellent option for sport or SHTF. I own a 2015 built rifle, along with an Arsenal SAM 7 and I would put the WASR up against it any day. You should know, however, that the wood furniture is absolutel garbage. I changed mine out with Polish surplus polymer from RTG and it is now a rifle to bet your life on--if it would come to that. Also, most of the parts, as well as the barrel, are forged steel--unlike the caste parts on US rifles, if that is important to you. Don't fall for the naysayers or gun snobs who wouldn't know a good rifle or handgun based on anything other than the price tag. The WASR is an excellent choice if you're looking for an AKM rifle.

I bought this Ak from Classic,I absolutely love it!Never jams,I upgraded to a Tapco Collapsabile stock due to my height.If the Poo ever hits the fan,This is the rifle you want!Very Accurate as well, love the tapco trigger century arms put on there and hardly any mag wobble,Century upgraded the overall quality of the Wasr-10!

Took a little time to put this review in,but this Rifle is Fantastic! 600 rounds so far and she functions flawlessly. 4 inch groups at 150+yards! I'll take this WASR over an AR anyday. LOVE my WASR! I bought mine when they were $499, but its STILL a fantastic value at the current price of $599. You can still buy a case of ammo for it and 10-20 Tapco mags without spending a grand.

The Tapco T6 stock makes this great rifle even better for taller folk like me. Have plans for the Tapco or Magpul fore stock and most likely a Techsight rear aperture, but its not really needed to enjoy this fun to shoot AK platform.

The Tapco mags have been great for me and have generally good reviews on YT.

If your looking for a Ak47 for a good price you can't go wrong with this one. The shipping was a little slow but it was because of the weather. I changed the stock, forearm and hand grip to the ATI furniture but if you like the wood stock these stocks are very nice. This rifle is even better looking and works better then I expected. I ran 100 rounds through it with not one hiccup, both magazines that came with it worked just fine. I even bought the 4 extra surplus mags and the pouch they had on sale very pleased with them too. The only thing to remember if you order anything else with the rifle that doesn't have to go to your FFL Dealer and you want it shipped to your address let them know that. My mags went to my FFL shop a week later which is 25 min. away, I had to make two trips.

I got a newer production WASR-10. The bolt carrier group is black (nitride finish?), front sight is NOT canted, slant brake is not welded and 14x1LH threaded. It shoots great and accurate at 100yds. I get 2-3 inch groups using the iron sights bench rested. The wood for the stock/hand guards seems to be cut from birch and the finish is in amazing shape. The steel mag it comes with seems to have been used at one time, but the tapco mag and the rifle itself seem to have never been used. The bore/chamber is clear and clean; all it needed was a cleaning from the packing grease and a new coat of oil. It's my first AK and i could not be more pleased. The turnaround time from ordering to shipping was about 10 days.

Beautiful rifle,wood was better than expected with no dings or scratches, no cant to the front sight,the surplus mag had a small amount of wobble but the Tapco mag and the Korean mags I ordered fit right with no wobble, haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but if it shoots half as good as it looks I'll be more than happy!!

Overall, the rifle is not a bad rifle. Shipping was unusually slow, as it took almost two weeks to arrive. The wood is a blonde beech and is brand new. I restained the wood and it looks a lot better.

Purchased this rifle on February 25th received it March 13th. Little slow to get the order going and UPS had a delay due to the weather... No big deal for the price I was willing to wait. Second purchase from classic overall positive experience. Rifle is in extremely good condition. No canted front sight. Tapco magazine fits like a glove. Surplus mag is gunked up with cosmoline so I haven't tried out the fit yet. All matching parts. Really glad I made the purchase. Thanks classic.

I've been watching these fluctuate in price for the last year or two and decided to purchase this example. I have seen local prices for well over $600 and even the same online. For $500, I'm quite pleased with the rifle but I wished I had purchased one back when everything was cheaper (before all the gun bans...). It has what looks like a Beech stock in a blonde color, not the laminated rough stock set. I was hoping for the latter, but I'm pleased with the appearance none the less. By the serial, it looks like it's newly manufactured if that is what's happening these days but why wouldn't the receiver have magazine dimples? The front sight is not canted. Magazine slop is a little present with the metal magazine. The plastic and bakelite magazines are tight and regardless of which (metal or bakelite), they load. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one of these for getting a former communist bloc made weapon made at the famous Cugir factory in Romania.

Overall, good product for the price.

Picked up my WASR-10 for $499 and received a good rifle. Rifle was packaged well and came with a cheap old sling, good cleaning kit, clean rod (even though not mentioned in description), a steel surplus mag, and a new tapco mag. Contrary to most reviews, the tapco mag was very tight to put in, but has slight mag wobble. However, the steel surplus mag fits excellently with NO mag wobble (surprising, I know). The front sight assembly is slightly canted, but it is not bad compared to others I have seen. I stripped the furniture and gloss coated it in polyurethane, which came out great.

Overall it is a good product for the price, but I am giving it a 4 out of 5 because it took 13 days to arrive at my local FFL, which was less than ideal..

I shopped around for an affordable AK-47, expecting to spend 7-800$ on a nice milled receiver AK variant. After doing some research, I decided on two things:
1) There is absolutely no reason to buy an AMERICAN made AK-47 (not because they aren't well made, just on principle)
2) Milled seems overpriced for what it is, considering the majority of original AK's were stamped receivers anyways. Again, not an expert by any means, this is my first AK.
I ordered the gun and contacted my local FFL, and ran into an unusual roadblock; the FFL was being difficult about dealing with classicfirearms, I'm not sure why. I called the phone number listed atop the classicfirearms.com website, and the lady I spoke to was very sweet and understanding. Within 5-10 minutes of calling, she sent me an e-mail saying everything was straightened out with the FFL, and the gun would ship as planned.
After 7 days from purchase, I received my Wasr AK from my FFL. I was thoroughly impressed by it's condition, as well as the little prizies it came with that weren't advertised (leather sling, cleaning kit tool, oil can). No canting on the sights, no issues with the action or pitting on the barrel etc., and the stock was so much nicer than the stock photo.
I haven't fired it yet. I'm trapped at work with this fine piece of machinery in my truck, as I picked it up right before work. The anticipation is killing me. But it's friday, and the weekend is 8 hours away :)
Very long story short, I have nothing but good things to say about classic right now. Customer support was more than helpful, shipping wasn't too bad considering the delays due to awful weather in our part of the world (midwest), and my gun is a fine specimen of human engineering. I ordered a surplus Beretta 92s right after my AK purchase, and I hope its just as nice. Thanks classic!

I ordered my WASR-10 almost two weeks ago, exchanged a couple of humorous emails with one of the guys at Classic, found out they were a week behind on orders, and almost expired from lack of WASR before it arrived at my FTL last night -- too late to try it out, so I disassembled it, applied some CLP and Lubri-Plate in the appropriate spots, and cycled a few rounds through it to be sure it was back together correctly. Today, my wife was sick most of the day, so it was late afternoon before I could fire it. Altogether, I fired 10-15 rounds each of Wolf FMJ and Norinco FMJ, Wolf Hollow Point and OLD KNC Hollowpoint, Brown Bear Softpoint and Norinco Hollowpoint through it -- all with absolutely NO FTFs, FTEs, LSMFTs, or RSVPs. The sights were right on and, even in the dusk, I was able to shoot a 2-inch group at 50 yards (from a rest, of course -- after all, I AM 70). The rifle itself is really nice looking -- light blond, straight-grained wood with no imperfections. Both magazines work and fit very well, with (oddly enough) the TAPCO magazine having more wobble than the steel magazine. I'm not a fan of the pistol grip -- it's too narrow and too short for me. Altogether, a very nice rifle and I don't see how it could be much better. I am now a WASR-10 fan!

The first thing that jumped out at me was the furniture. This was much nicer than I expected! It appears to be a beautiful teak hardwood with a nice low gloss finish. Fit and finish are better than I expected. There is no cant to the front sight but I did buy a $10 sight tool to get the front post on target for elevation/windage (it was way off). There is a bit of rubbing of the bolt against the top cover, but nothing serious. The included Tapco mag fits like a glove...my only complaint is that the steel magazine does wobble a bit. Rivets all look great. Just need to get it to the range now. What a value!!!

I researched for months and months on what AK I should buy for the first time. I sifted through forums and had information overload. I finally settled on the WASR 10. Yes, it is true that Century had some issues pre-2008. Guess what? They have absolutely nailed it since then. Everyone who tells you otherwise is blowing smoke and likely doesn't own one or had one pre-2008.

The prices are only going up on these beauties. Why pay $599 for some other companies to do a "QC" check? This rifle is exceptionally built. Almost no mag wobble (it has what you would expect for an AK) The furniture looked amazing. Matching serial numbers. Came with a leather sling (didn't have the clip to attach it though. I will live.) A really nice steel mag that actually felt better in the WASR than the poly-Tapco. The steel mag is also worn looking and just adds even more character. The cleaning rod was there and the cleaning kit in the tube as well as an oil bottle. Also, I saw on some other sites that the bayonet lug could be ground down/off. This is not the case here. I ordered a matching Romanian bakelite bayonet off of Gunbroker. (Note: It appears the tube cleaning kit doesn't go in the butt stock anymore. I just threw it in the bag that I bought off of here which I thought was a stellar deal. The AK Shooter's package - the case and 3 extra mags for $50.)

I highly recommend this rifle and please sift through all of the misinformation out there about these rifles and do your homework. You can go drop $800-$900 on another AK variant...but I didn't. When it comes to getting a stamped or milled receiver...I went into this wanting a milled receiver but after much research, I couldn't justify the extra price or the weight. Do your homework on that as well. The rifles are all based on the same design with minor variations from country to country. Two things that should help you make your purchase easier:

1. When it comes to the AK it all comes down to the skill of the person pulling the trigger and the familiarity of the platform. As with any other firearm.

2. This is what ultimately swayed me after just digging and digging through forums and tons of research. I originally was looking at the C39 and totally had my heart on it. Milled receiver, etc. etc. What made me change my mind and maybe this will help you reading this. If you are buying an AK, why would you want it to be American made? I wanted it to be as authentic as possible and you just can't beat the $499 price tag and then buy extra ammo with the money you save.

All-in-all if you are looking for your first AK or your 10th (I have heard they are addictive) this is absolutely the rifle to get. Century has absolutely turned their game around. Classic Firearms has the amazing FFL feature as well and excellent customer service. This was my first purchase from them and won't be my last.

This is my first AK and I'm not disappointed. Very solid rifle with a great weight distribution. Easy to disassemble. I fired off 90 rounds(3 mags) the day after I got it and was very impressed by it's sighting. it's recoil, the tapco trigger...and of course I had to bump fire a mag:)..which had it smoking. Delivery was great, 3 days transit. My only beef is the rear stock is split underneath where it attaches to the rifle on both outer sides for about 3/4" I'm going to try crazy glue at first for repair. I got a Tapco mag and an original metal mag..Prefer the metal...Zero mag wobble! I guess I was too late in ordering to get the pig sticker...With this rifle I don't think anything will get close enough to need it....Oh yeah I ordered a thousand rds with it at $249.00 which beats the heck out of $20.00+ per 20 rd box locally

Great Rifle! The sight, out the box was slightly canted right, but I slapped on the red dot that classic offers and it works great too. Mine has no mag wobble and was able to accurately fire 200 rounds with out a hiccup. The steel mags that so many people dislike, worked like a champ as well!

Definitely a great bang for your buck. Just get this WASR and have fun!

The WASR-10 was my first AK and my first purchase from Classic. Ordered on Friday and it arrived at FFL on Tuesday. Gun is in great shape (I was never clear whether these are surplus or new or restored perhaps?) Anyway, it runs great with no feed or eject failures and looks awesome, too. The only problem I have is that at just over 6 feet tall the butt stock is a little small for me. To comfortably run the rifle I have to put my face further forward than I'd like. A buddy of mine says that's the Russian-based design to allow room for the padding of heavy coats and parkas worn in cold climates.

Overall this was a great purchase. The classic team does a great job.

When we received them, they did not come with bayonet's even though description on website mentioned they did. When we checked with them they told us their description was wrong and had been corrected, as the Wasr's hadn't come with them for quite some time. Love and behold, a few days later, we received the bayonets in the mail. Awesome! Now this is customer satisfaction at its finest! Way to go Classic!

Classic Firearms has great deals and sell quality firearms. We were very satisfied with the Wasr-10's we ordered and have been satisfied with previous purchases. A little snafu on this order however, description of included accessories indicated a bayonet was included when order was placed just prior to Christmas. Did not come with one, they told us it was an error on their description (they do not come with one) and have since corrected the description. This is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. I know it's not easy maintaining all the information on listed items, however this caused some grumbling on our end when customers didn't get what they thought they were. Overall, other than this, great job as always Classic Firearms.

Always skeptical when ordering something online. However I am very impressed with what I received. Rifle is in excellent condition. No canted sights, all matching numbers. Shoots great. Received two mags, cleaning kit, sling, cleaning rod and oil bottle. Tapco mag is sometimes difficult to load but steel mag loads no problem. Very happy with rifle.

Got myself one of these a while back, even after reading all the negative reviews online. Mine suffers from none of the issues I read about. The sights are on straight and put holes in paper at 50 yards no problem. Mag wobble with steel mags is minimal and non-existant with the Tapco mag. Only put 60 rounds through it so far, but not one single malfunction. Finish of metal and wood isn't super fancy but in a rifle like this I'm not to bothered by that. Only a few complaints: Handguard gets hot super fast, if shooting more than about 30 rounds at a time, mechanic gloves or similar are nice to have, may consider getting a new hanguard w/ better heat shielding. The other two complaints aren't really about the rifle itself so much as just what was/wasn't in the box with it: Came with a milsurp steel mag and a Tapco mag, nothing wrong w/ the tapco mag, but I'd have much rather gotten 2 steel mags. Last gripe: NO CLEANING ROD :( But all these are little things that can easily be fixed so by no means a deal breaker. Overall I am very happy with my WASR!

Picked the WASR up today. Finish on receiver better than I expected. The finish on the front sight not perfect (don't care, it's an AK). No cant at all with front sight. All rivets perfect. Wood on buttstock doesn't quite match front furniture in color (again, don't care as I am going to refinish it with MinWax Red Mahogany stain and then tung oil) but wood is very workable and smooth. No wobble on metal mag or the plastic one after insertion. Tapco trigger surprisingly good. This rifle is a great value and happy to add an AK47 to the collection.

Received a great Wasr-10 with all the accessories. The baynot looks like it was run over by a tank but I dont care. The wood on the rifle makes a great project as it is unfinished. I stained mine with red food coloring followed by min-wax red mahogany then sealed it with several coats of poly. Looks great. Shot just over 200 rounds with zero problems. Thanks Classic.

Was sceptical of past reviews of these rifles. But went ahead and got one. Well I am very pleased with it to say the least. I have two Yugos and neither shoot as accurate as this one. adjusted front sight 1/16 inch right and right on target..Can hit a three inch ballon @ 100 yards easily free handed with the iron sights. Fit and finish was great. The furniture was very nice. It was a good decision! Exellent Classic firearms!

Having never done business with Classic Firearms and after reading about one thousand reviews from other buyers, I took a calculated leap of faith. Within a few days, my WASR-10 raised its head at my FFL and the rest was history. Out of the box, this piece was exactly as described and then some. I pulled off the wood furniture, put a little sandpaper to the finish, layed down a few coats of Red Oak stain, one coat of satin urithane and admired my handiwork. The gun was throughly cleaned (and they need it....it is sort of a bonding ceremony anyway), furniture replaced and it has been punching holes in stuff ever since. It was such a pleasure working with Classic that I ordered another WASR for a gift, with the same results. Then it was ammo time and Classic came through again with a quick response and a product that was better than expected. If you are concerned about Classic's integrity, attention to detail or commitment to service, give yourself a break. These people know what they are doing and will go the extra mile to make sure that you are given prompt attention. Thanks Classic for my new shooters and keep up the good work. And dang, that 308 sure looks good!

The gun went straight from my ffl to the woods for some shooting. First couple mags had some malfunctions (rounds wouldn't fully chaimber, a few double feeds) but after a quick run through with the bore snake, and a few more magazines, the action seemed to smooth out a bit.
Normally I would have first cleaned and lubed the rifle before any range time, so these issues were most likely avoidable, and the fact that I was attempting to bump fire a brand new ak probably didn't help much either.
Good gun for the price
Bayonet, and scabbard are pretty beat up, but functional. the sling was perfect.
No canted sights or abnormal mag wobble.

Let me take you through this whole purchase. I ordered it after business hours on a Friday night, as such I knew it could not be shipped till the following week, I honestly did not expect this to get to me till probably the Friday next. I called Monday morning with a couple questions and the person I talked to couldn't be more helpful. Later that Monday I got an email saying my rifle had shipped. The tracking info told me that the rifle would be delivered Wednesday. Sure enough it was waiting for me Wednesday morning. Picked it up and I couldn't believe how nice it was. New wood furniture, ready to be sanded which is exactly what I wanted. All metal was scratch free, rivets were done correctly and very nice indeed. Perfectly straight sights. It came with two 30 rd. magazines, one new Tapco and a very nice, I'm guessing, Romanian steel mag. Both fit properly and snugly. It does have the cleaning rod and also the cylinder cleaning kit that was complete except for the temp. pin, which is no big deal. Also included was a twin spout Romanian oil/solvent can (still some oil in it, at least I hope it is oil and not what the Eastern bloc soldiers used to clean these things!) a beautiful leather sling, which could not possibly have been issued. And one extremely used and well abused Romanian bayonet, but they told me the bayo's were pretty chewed up when I called Monday. Am I happy? You bet your a** I'm happy, actually for five hundred dollars, I'm thrilled! I have never seen a Wasr this nice, but I bought this because by all accounts Century had got their act together, and they have with this particular example. And Classic could not have been any better to deal with. This is the first time I have ever bought a firearm on line and didn't know what to expect, but I will never hesitate to deal with these folks again and will probably do so again. 5 stars for the product and 5+ for Classic Firearms.

Wonderful Rifle

I was really surprised how nice this rifle was when I got it. The wood was clean, the magazine fit tight, the receiver was put together properly and the sights were dead on. From what I could tell all the parts in my rifle were completely new. I've seen older wasr 10's that looked awful inside but this one is great. I stained the wood red chestnut and now she just looks fantastic.

If you want a good AK47 then this is the rifle for you, I think it is safe to say the days of the rough wasr 10's have ended with the G2 models. Thank you Classic, I will buy again.

This is the first AK I have owned, I was honestly not expecting what I received. The gun was in mint condition, no dings, scratches, etc. The Bayonet is a little rough, but I really don't care about that. Shipping was fast. All that was required was a good cleaning. I will return!

First AKM

Love my new WASR. This is my first AKM (as the title suggests), so I thought I'd go cheap first to see how I like it. Also, there are lots of mods available for stamped receiver AK's, and I like to personalize my firearms! Great price here at Classic Firearms and shipping was fast. Out of the box, it was pretty grimy - but after a good cleaning and lube, everything is very smooth! I was worred because Century has had a seemingly deserved bad rap. But the word is that they are paying more attention to fit and finish and my WASR seems to bear that out. The butt stock was not straight, but upon removing it I realized it wasn't the receiver / rear trunnion; the wood on the stock was not cut right. Everything else is straight, though. And I was worried because of the many complaints online about the G2 trigger - I think it breaks nicely, though. Maybe I'm just naive because I've never owned a high-end AK (so I don't know any different)! Classic Firearms is awesome - good prices, good service, and friendly staff. My money was well-spent here!

Exceeded My Expectations

After reading reviews on over a hundred (literally) WASR-10s, I decided to go with the Romanian version from the Cugir factory. I chose Classic to purchase it from because of all the good comments about the overall quality of the firearms they sold and their customer service, as important to me as the weapon itself.
First the GOOD:
The gun arrived very well packaged and in absolutely pristine condition with everything in the ad description included. It was so clean, I only disassembled it to do a parts inspection and to oil it. I could have shot it out of the box literally without hesitation. This is not the case with most of these assembled AKs. Good job Classic! The wood was in excellent shape with zero dings or nicks. Easily an 8.0. Front sight was dead on with no cant. Cleaning rod, magazines ( 1 metal, 1 plastic), oil can and bayonet required very little attention(10 minutes total) to make them 100%. By far way over the top of my expectations.
Took it to the range a couple of days later. Sand bagged @ 50 yards, it shot dead center 1 inch off bottom of target at 6:00. Shooting 8 shot groups that were averaging 4 inches with a flyer or two, I kept adjusting the front sight until it was printing dead center with the only issues being me. I know this because my buddy averages sending probably 500 rounds a week down range in a variety of calibers and he put the last 16 in a tight 4 inch group. The gun will flat shoot! 150 rounds with 5 brands of ammo with zero FTL or FTEs.
The not so GOOD:
Ordered it on July 22nd. Received notification of delivery at their FFL on the 31st. Not quite what I had been reading in the reviews. After no tracking number for 5 days, I called and was told there had been a "problem" in the warehouse and nothing had shipped all week. Iwill leave that one alone.
The second issue was the only FFL Dealer that they had already vetted in my area was non-contactable when I was notified of delivery. The reason was the 800 number listed on Classic's acknowledgment of my order was disconnected and it was only after driving over to the address I had been given and finding a business card taped to the door of a small business strip center unit that was closed in the middle of the day, was I able to contact the Dealer. Not very professional. Classic, you know who I'm talking about( order # 10090790).
In spite of the delivery issues, I am extremely satisfied with the product, beyond words. It's a fun, accurate and affordable weapon and I highly suggest owning one and buying it from Classic. I will do business with them again.
I'll just pick my own FFL Dealer :-)

Got to me in 5 days, (I ordered it on a Saturday) and when I opened the box, I was so pleased! This is my favorite weapon of all time, not just the AK47, but the Romanian GP WASR-10.
This is the perfect weapon at the perfect price. Most durable and proven firearm in the modern era. I RECOMMEND every American to own a AK47.
An AK is an AK is an AK. That's my opinion. You're entitled to yours.

FIRST, sights are fine at 25 yards 30 yards 40 yards i am hitting all with in 3 inches perfect! Bayonet is solid, shoots solid, furniture solid, only thing chrome barrel inside has a deep nick about the size of finger nail on the inside not a big deal but when cleaning it sticks and with time my barrel will have build up there. Cleaning kit came with this unit. Gun needed low cleaning upfront if 1 was perfect 10 was a lot of cleaning this gun was a 4

I Heard A Lot of bad reviews on the Romanian WASR-10. I Bought one and installed a ATI Folding stock and some other goodies. and it is just a good shooting Easy to clean and dependable semi auto rifle. A good price and you can still afford to shoot.

The Romanian WASR-10 AK-47 I got from Classic Firearms looks like it’s new. First thing out of the box I took it down to clean it thoroughly. All parts were very nice and cleaning needed was little to none. The one I received came with the two mags, oil-can, cleaning kit, bayonet, and leather sling. (Nice package) The wood was in perfect shape other than one small scratch in the butt stock, I did sand all wood lightly and made this AK a blonde. The front sight was not aliened correct, but with a AK sight adjustment tool you can get for (7-10 bucks) it’s a piece of cake to get lined up in less than a minute. Classic is a great place to buy your weapons, very good items and great service/shipping, oh by the way, great prices!

Bought this rifle 5/2/2014 and picked it up 5/7/2014. Like many others, I was very skeptical about the Century Arms WASR-10. I did alot of research before buying this firearm, and let me tell you I couldn't be more pleased!

First off, this is not a early 1990's WASR-10. Its new (so to speak). Quality control has come a long ways at Century Arms since then, and these rifles are just fine. At $499 these are a steal in today's inflated market.

My rifle came with brand new hardwood furniture (that i stained russian red - looks SICK). 1 steel mag, 1 tapco mag (NO MAG WOBBLE PEOPLE!) , an oiler, leather strap, and bayonet. The accessories look like they pulled them from a cold war time capsule! Super cool.

I took the rifle out this weekend, and put about 300 rounds downrange. Whada you know, no issues. The sights were dialed pretty close, i just needed to adjust windage. And no canted sights for those who are wondering.

All & all, i'd buy this rifle again in a heartbeat. Buy yours before Obama and his retarded followers try and make this unavailable.

I have purchased 2 of these from Classic so far & both came to me with much nicer furniture than the laminate pictured for the example rifle pic. I prefer the WASR rifles over the YUGO fixed stock due to the cheek slap the Yugo produces with its over sized stock. The service from classic as usual is excellent. I ordered on Thursday and picked it up from my dealer on Wednesday.

I picked up my WASR 10 from my FFL yesterday and have been very satisfied with it so far. I have not hit the range with it, but if the cosmetic condition is any indication, than this is going to be a great AK pattern rifle. I purchased my WASR from Classic Firearms for $499 and it included: The rifle, a bayonet, two magazines (one surplus and one Tapco), a cleaning rod, a cleaning kit, an oil bottle and a surplus rifle sling. The furniture on this WASR is practically brand new. The wood is in great shape and ready to be stained to the color of my choosing. The sights are good, the magazine well is milled out correctly and the rifle appears to be in great cosmetic condition. The rifle was also packed very well and the inside parts of the rifle came coated in protective lube (not caked, just enough to protect it and it wiped off with a range and some hot water).

I will add more once I am able to put it through it's paces at the range! I really cannot stress how nice this weapon looks.

Contrary to what I have read about the quality of the CAI WASR-10s, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Both magazines fit perfectly with no wobble, no canting of the sights, and no metal wear. The furniture is perfect but not finished...giving you a project to work on!

before I bought this rifle I researched on you tube for all the signs of a poorly completed AK.
I found the dimples to be round and no dimples. the stock was good with only a few marks on it. The magazine well was professionally enlarged to fit 30 round mags.

WASR-10 - I’m very impressed! The fit and finish is much nicer than I expected. This rifle is very well put together. Box included rifle (with cleaning rod), one Tapco magazine and one steel surplus magazine, bayonet with scabbard, very nice NOS leather sling, cleaning kit, oil bottle, and owner’s manual. The furniture is an unfinished solid hardwood. I like the color so I’m just going to give it a light sanding and put some clear polyurethane on it. The only downside is that it will probably be two weeks before I can make it out to the range.

Love this gun. Looked great out of the box, wasn't a fan of the blonde wood so I refinished it but I would never rate lower for something I knew I wouldn't like about the gun knowingly when I purchased it. I've had a WASR or two over the years, and this one is in new condition! Everything looks great! I still need to get her out to the range, but the mag wobble is virtually non-existent and the sights are not canted. You will not regret picking one of these up! Came with a bayonet as well, not pictured.

The gun looks great for the money. ($518 shipped) As with any foreign gun, it needed some cleaning. The AK platform is very easy to take apart and give a thorough cleaning and reassemble. It came with a bayonet that was sharp enough and in pretty good shape. It came with one tapco and one metal mag. Both fit with no problems. Overall, very pleased with this gun and would buy from Classic Firearms again.

Very happy with this. I got it on sale price point seems about right. Came with one milsurp romanian magazine (metal) and one Tapco polymer mag.
It was sighted so far off that I thought the front post was canted but it turned out that it was fine, I guess it got sighted in on vodka friday or something. It's on target with the post dead center.
The trigger is astoundingly good not only for an AK but for one at this price point I did not expect it. Fit and finish look to be pretty good. The wood furniture is pretty craptastic but had I intended to keep it it could be finished quite nicely with some work. I replaced mine with polymer used an Archangel adjustable buttstock and the rest as well, very happy with that. I also changed the slant brake to an AK74 type. Once I got it sighted in I mounted my midwest industries 30mm red dot with a vortex strikefire on it. The mount (on the gun) was positioned correctly and additionally I can't recommend the MW mount enough, on and off 4 or 5 times after zeroing and it held zero.
I did a proper barrel break in even though it's "just an AK" (what someone said at the range). Watched my groups close up once I got up to about 50 rounds, first 5 it was cleaned after each shot, then after every 5 shots for 50 more rounds (ten times). After that I just shot as usual and had very easy cleaning and the bore looks better.
At $499 it was an absolute steal, at $599 it's still a solid deal if you ask me. Comes with a cleaning rod, bayonet. No hole in stock for a standard cleaning kit probably due to restrictions (number of required US parts). Great gun! And remember there was ALWAYS 7.62X39 available during the panic. Who knows now that Putin invaded Crimea but we always have China for now anyway.

Arrived fast. This gun looked in fine condition. The wooden furniture was good quality and had no nicks or dings. There was only a minimal amount of preservative to clean off. They did a great job of cleaning it pre-shipping. I only used 4 stars because I haven't had time to try it out at the range yet. Already replaced the wood with synthetic and added a scope mount. Awesome looking weapon. More to follow. Can't wait to try it out.

Being my first wasr ak47, i was skeptical about the quality. I read on forums the rivets were wishi-washi, the mags fit loose with significant rattle, and the sight alignment were off.
None of that for the one i received. The rivets have a good fit, the magazines do not rattle, and the alignment sight is centered. I also purchase a recoil spring and additional magazines. The rambo looking bayonet is way cool. Me like :)
The ordering process was simple and straight forward. The only delay i had was the shipping but that was due to bad weather.
I have no regrets about getting a good looking ak. I will buy more from firearms from classicfirearms.com

Got this, thought the sight was WAY canted turns out the thing was sighted wrong, the post was all the way to the left. I centered it and took it to the range and was within an inch of the x ring at battle zero 25 y. Not bad at all. Broke in the barrel today, just made one ragged hole in the paper. Got home and put my polymer furniture on it. What a steal.

These were out of stock for a while and I put it on my wish list. Shortly after being notified they were back in stock, I ordered one and was not disappointed when it arrived. A beautiful rifle that appears well very well made. It's my first AK and I am impressed. Sights look straight as an arrow and the Tapco trigger is smooth. Furniture is flawless and the receiver didn't have a scratch! I don't know if I was lucky or this is the way they all come but this was a great rifle at a great price. Looking forward to shooting it.

Came as advertised. Well-oiled and VERY nice wood furniture, which was a pleasant surprise for me. Absolutely NO mag-wobble I have heard so much fuss about. EVERYTHING is tight and of great quality. This is my 2nd order from Classic and everything went off w/o a hitch. I'm over seas and my brother did the p/u and he told me over the phone that it looks great, very clean (like new) and the mags and bayo fit like a glove. Do not hesitate buying this Wasr. My first AK is an Arsenal Saiga. For the money I would rather have this than the Saiga. Buy it!

Perfect lines right out of the box! Quick clean and function check, then off to the range. Fires any and all ammo perfectly!! No sight adjustment out to 100 yards (for me) as I am getting roughly 3 inch groups; this firearm is a pleasure to fire!!

I have heard allot of varying opinions of this gun before I got mine. Horror stories of wobbly magazines, canted sights and feed issues. Maybe when they where first importing them they didn't have good quality control because the one I received had none of these issues. This is a good solid AK. Great out of the box or a great point to start a custom project. The only problem I had was removing the old butt stock, had to ruin the old one to get it out. Very happy with the gun over all.

What can I say its an AK. Shot with no Hic ups
. I love this gun wish price would come down so I can buy more. Only reason I gave it four stars is that the front site is over to the right a lot. Looking at it all I need to do is line up the lines and it will be dead on. Also shot three 30 round tapco mags and ran ammo just as good as the metal Romanian mag. I would also highly recommend you to pick up a few of the MMC ar-15's M-4 carbine they are great too. Thanks again Classic firearms. Customer for life...

April 26 2013 just picked mine up today. Everything is as advertised . Not in description but mine came with a bayonet with sheath. What mine didn't come with is a cleaning rod as depicted in photo. Also had purchased 5 tapco 30rd mags. Tapco mags will fit and fit nice and tight but must shave some down a little around top rear of mag.
All in all I'm so excited to get this gun and can't wait to burn up some ammo. Thanks classic arms P.S rifle came packaged very well no damage at all.

Romanian AK-47

I purchased this romanian AK back in December and have toyed with it a ton. It originally came with wood furniture but I have since added a Midwest industries hand guard, Magpul collapsible stock,Palm grip, AK-74 style muzzle break, Texas Weapons systems top rail and I have thrown a variety of optics on top of it. Some people find it unnecessary to dress up an AK but I absolutely love this rifle.
This rifle fires every time and very accurate as well out to a couple hundred yards. It has a very smooth trigger and is my favorite firearm to shoot. In fact this gun has become my "go to" gun because I know I can always count on it to fire!
Only thing I didn't like was the condition of the wood furniture but that wasn't all that important to me since I just wanted a cheap AK to modify. However after shooting this AK, it's not "cheap", just inexpensive. Like I said, I love this gun! Totally worth it. I have purchased a few firearms from Classic and all of my rifles have arrived better than I expected. Thanks for the awesome service!

So I wanted an AK soooooo bad and have wanted one for over 2 years now. Somehow I ended up with a few AR15's. However I figured it was time to finally get my AK. But with all the BS with everyone going crazy on the gun market none were available. I almost bought one from an USA supplier but after several attempts from 4 different sellers, and actually finding one seller late Saturday who had one left, I went to buy and in the 1 minute it took me to enter my information his other brand sold. I was furious. So I searched google again and found this Romanian one from Classic Firearms. Called customer service and within 2 minutes I had my AK ordered. The following day it arrived at my FFL. Bought this rifle back in December and finally got to take it out and shoot it. I must say I was thoroughly impressed. Ran 100 rds of Tula through it using surplus steel mags and the AK chewed it up every time. It was also extremely accurate out of the box. Classic is by far the best firearms site on the web! Fast and easy service! Ordered the AK on a Sunday and had it in hand Tuesday (keep in mind this was before all the gun craze chaos). Highly recommended!

Very nice! Do I wish I had bought one when they were much less expensive? Sure. Do I regret spending the extra money now? Absolutely not. Welcome to supply and demand.
I got exactly what I expected, plus a very nice bonus of a bayonet that was not expected. I consider myself lucky, I'm sure not everyone will get one of these as it was not listed in the description.
If you have any doubts about this firearm, do your research. Google "brandon401401 wasr" and watch "AK-47 OUT OF BOX ACCURACY TEST". This guy's appears to be more or less the same exact AK.
Finally, I would like to say, I have made several other purchases recently from Classic. I am very pleased with those transactions also, and about they way they are handling this recent madness in the marketplace.

I recently purchased one of these through a different dealer but I have to say.. wow. These rifles are a ball to shoot. I am going to list the pros, then I will list some of the cons about this rifle. This rifle is an Ak-47 variant, meaning you are going to get a rifle that will out last your lifetime not once but probably twice or more. I don't know about you but, I have been crazy about an Ak-47 since I was a little kid. The 2 mags that I received with mine are spectacular. They fit great and feed wonderfully. These rifles have a chrome lined bore which will eat any ammo you feed it with no problems. I know guys that have this rifle and have never cleaned it once and it still runs like a top. They are fully mod-able, meaning you can add bells and whistles to it and go all plastic if you don't prefer the wood. I prefer the wood stock because it really is a beautiful grain that comes with these rifles. My rifle also came with matching numbers on the trunion, bolt carrier, and bolt. I mean what more is there to say? It's an Ak. On the other hand, these guns are stamped material. They don't come like an SKS where everything is milled and a lot sturdier feeling and looking. These rifles most of the time do not come sighted in, and they are caked in cosmoline so you have to give them a nice bath if you don't want your gun smelling horrible for a while. I have had mine about a month and I have cleaned the hell out of it and it still oozes with cosmoline. My rifle did not come with a cleaning rod or cleaning kit. I had to purchase those else where. The bayonet that came with my rifle didn't fit at first. I had to do some filing on the bayonet lug to get it to fit nicely. That may vary with you. The wood on these rifles is not finished at all. I don't know how you feel about that but I had to sand it down a bit with some 400 grit sand paper. The upper hand guard doesn't match the rest of the wood but its not too far off. It is just a lighter shade than the rest. On the upside, this gun is great. I feel like if you were going to get an AK, get a Romanian Wasr. They're cheap and the quality isn't too far off from the Arsenal series rifles. I do however recommend buying a couple of things for this rifle. 1 being a 5 or 6 dollar tapco retaining plate. This will keep your rifle a bit more sturdy and helps keep trigger group pins in place for ease in removing or installing the fire control components. Locks the hammer and trigger pivot pins in position to speed reassembly after cleaning or service; after installation, plate is conveniently retained by the selector. The second thing being a 10 dollar recoil buffer of some kind. This will extend the life of your receiver and keep your gun gun for even longer. It doesn't help drastically in preventing recoil at all in my opinion but it will keep your receiver safe from metal slamming on metal thousands of times. I recommend this rifle to anyone really. I love it and I am sure you will too. Cheers.

This is the third AK that i bought this year. I have an Arsenal SGL21-61, a Century Zastava PAP M70, and now this Wasr. It is just a lot of fun to shoot. Great Gun! The service from Classic was stellar. (As always)

Just received mine. Order was processed very quickly. Rifle is better than expected. With all of the talk of loose tolerances of the WASRs, I was a bit concerned to buy one sight unseen, but the rifle seems to be very well built and the metal mag fits snug with almost no wobble at all. The only con: I wish that the description would have mentioned that the cleaning rod is not included, since the photo does show it; now I have to buy one seperately. I highly recommend this rifle.. just ask if yours is complete with a cleaning rod, or order one just to be safe.

I got the version of the WASR 10/63 they were selling here a while back that came with the black polymer furniture and the shooters package. First time at the range it kicked substantially more than my Yugo underfolder. The addition of a Mako Recoil Reducing Collapsible Buttstock made that problem go away. Now it is a joy to shoot. If I bought this one, I'd probably replace the wood furniture with the same Mako Buttstock and a Mako Handguard with Picatinny Rails (polymer). It would shoot well and look good too.

I know a lot of people bust on the WASRs (these are GP WASR 10/63), but they are quite mistaken. These guns are what they are - rough finished, loose tolerances, battlefield guns - they are made to shoot, and shoot they do...ALWAYS. This gun chugs through whatever cheap, surplus ammo you feed it, and it will shoot as well as you do. I don't know anyone who realistically pulls off 300 yd sniper shots in any real situation with their AR-15s, and, let's just say regarding this gun's accuracy, that even iron sights only, I would not want to be 100yds down range from this WASR. Easy to strip down, practically indestructible, shoots cheap ammo, low cost gun, tons of aftermarket parts - what more could you want? I am more than pleased with this rifle.
