CARCANO-EN-BLOC: These new Carcano clips have been a long time coming. We have been in the works on getting these made since we acquired a large number of beloved Carcano cavalry carbines. Everyone has been asking when we will get some of these clips and ammo for their new surplus gun. Now we are proud to offer these new clips stamped from virgin brass and manufactured right here in the USA. The Italians initially designed these to be a single-use design, making them harder to find in good original condition. This prompted us to find as many clips as we could and painstakingly recreate new working re-production Carcano clips. This current batch has been exactly what we expected and they have brought all of these great surplus rifles to life. While the design is the same as the original, if you are careful with your clips, you can get more than one-time use out of them. With that being said, a small caveat needs to be pointed out that we have experienced. The clips work great and function exactly as designed. They ran very well with most of our test rifles with no issues. However, we have found that some guns, especially the older carbines, may have trouble bringing the last round up high enough to cycle under the lifter arm's own strength. This is normal; these carbines have been through two world wars, and many were used for police use afterward and it is simply a result of the follower or lifter arm spring losing tension over the years. If that bothers you, I suggest having a gunsmith install a new lifter arm and/or spring. These clips are for all Carcano rifles and carbines. For argument's sake, since this is a point of contention on the internet, these will fall free of clean rifles that have loose tolerances, but for most, they are pushed out of the mag well when you insert the next clip. This is normal and not a problem with the clip but rather the gun itself. These should also function with the later 7.35x51 M38 cartridges, but we cannot guarantee as we do not have any test rifles to confirm. This is based solely on the fact that the Italians used the same clips when they transferred over to the m38s. Therefore, it is safe to say they will function in both. We will try to have these clips in stock on a regular basis but finding the raw materials is getting harder I would not sit around. We suggest picking up a few dozen of these high-quality Carcano clips now.
