About Classic Firearms

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Classic Firearms was founded as Classic Arms in Indian Trail, NC in 1989.  The business is christian owned and makes every effort to live by The Golden Rule.  Since inception, Classic Arms has been determined and focused to bring its customers the best quality military surplus products available while offering some of the most competitive pricing in the marketplace.  Owned today by Rick Jones, that same focus remains. The company has expanded tremendously and is well established as a mail-order and internet supplier of the finest firearms, ammunition, and accessories available.  Classic Firearms is now one of the largest online sellers of military surplus firearms in the United States.

We take pride in the quality of the military surplus products we offer—we pay a premium to our vendors in an effort to receive only the highest quality available.  We take the time to inspect every shipment we receive in an attempt to correctly grade our firearms and thus ensure we are offering the highest quality military surplus items available.  We post a detailed description, based on our current shipment, of the surplus items on our website so our customers will be armed with sufficient information to make an educated buying decision.  And yes, we also post current photos from that current shipment to allow you to view the current quality before placing your order.  This is a unique value-added service only provided by Classic Firearms.

Today, due to customer demand, Classic Firearms has expanded beyond military surplus items and continues to add new products almost on a daily basis.  Be sure to check our website daily to check out our newest products, Joke of the Day, Today in History, and Bible Verse of the Day.  We do hope you will enjoy visiting our website :)  Let us know if there something we can do to make it an even better experience for you as a customer.

Classic Firearms is mail-order only and thus we are not open to the public. However, we do realize many local folks would like to purchase our products and want to avoid having to pay shipping charges.  To accommodate our local customers, we have set up a relationship with a local gun dealer, Stoney Rushing with Take Aim Training, to handle local transfers of firearms for our customers for a small fee of $25.00.  Stoney will pick up orders once per week and they are available for pick up on Fridays only.

Joke of the Day
Signs

A cop pulls over a carload of nuns.
Cop: "Sister, this is a 65 MPH highway -- why are you going so slow?"
Sister: "Sir, I saw a lot of signs that said 22, not 65."
Cop: "Oh sister, that's not the speed limit, that's the name of the highway you're on!
Sister: Oh! Silly me! Thanks for letting me know. I'll be more careful.
At this point the cop looks in the backseat where the other nuns are shaking and trembling.
Cop: Excuse me, Sister, what's wrong with your friends back there? They're shaking something terrible.
Sister: Oh, we just got off of highway 119.

Today in History
1953 Rosenbergs executed

On this day in 1953, Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, who were convicted of conspiring to pass U.S. atomic secrets to the Soviets, are executed at Sing Sing Prison in Ossining, New York. Both refused to admit any wrongdoing and proclaimed their innocence right up to the time of their deaths, by the electric chair. The Rosenbergs were the first U.S. citizens to be convicted and executed for espionage during peacetime and their case remains controversial to this day.

Julius Rosenberg was an engineer for the U.S. Army Signal Corps who was born in New York on May 12, 1918. His wife, born Ethel Greenglass, also in New York, on September 28, 1915, worked as a secretary. The couple met as members of the Young Communist League, married in 1939 and had two sons. Julius Rosenberg was arrested on suspicion of espionage on June 17, 1950, and accused of heading a spy ring that passed top-secret information concerning the atomic bomb to the Soviet Union. Ethel was arrested two months later. The Rosenbergs were implicated by David Greenglass, Ethel’s younger brother and a former army sergeant and machinist at Los Alamos, the secret atomic bomb lab in New Mexico. Greenglass, who himself had confessed to providing nuclear secrets to the Soviets through an intermediary, testified against his sister and brother-in-law in court. He later served 10 years in prison.

The Rosenbergs vigorously protested their innocence, but after a brief trial that began on March 6, 1951, and attracted much media attention, the couple was convicted. On April 5, 1951, a judge sentenced them to death and the pair was taken to Sing Sing to await execution.

Verse of the Week
Fathers, do not exasperate your children, instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. —Ephesians 6:4

Mothers have such an inside road with children that it is interesting that God commands fathers to be about the work of spiritual nurture. I don't believe he means to exclude mothers. No, I think he assumes they'll do their part. But the father's influence and intentional training is so essential.
