This model has a 13" blade made from 1055 Carbon Steel with a tough spring temper then surfaced with a black, baked-on anti-rust finish. It is ready to plow through the toughest chores life can dish out. Each Cold Steel machete comes with a good utility edge which, with just a little work, can be made hair-shaving sharp. It features the distinctive weight-forward balance of Cold Steel's "top-of-the-line" models, and always presents the edge on an angle so it is guaranteed to "bite" deep with every stroke. The tough, Polypropylene handle is designed to provide a comfortable secure grip, and it is rugged enough to resist chipping, cracking or breaking, so it will last practically forever. Additionally, the Kukri machete comes complete with a sturdy Cor-Ex sheath. This knife is a solid value, ready for long, hard work.
