Its weight reduction is largely due to the use of a glass-filled nylon handle, which also includes a non-slip K-Texture insert for added grip. The 8100 comes equipped with the SpeedSafe assisted opening feature, enabling its blade to open quickly and be immediately operational.

Whether you choose to use the ambidextrous flipper or thumbstud for activating the blade, it ensures readiness and immediacy. Its large, drop-point blade is specifically designed to tackle a wide range of typical and uncommon cutting tasks. The blade is crafted from 8Cr13MoV steel, renowned for its outstanding wear resistance, durability, and superior edge retention.

With separate locking liners for the blade and other integrated tools, the 8100 embodies safety alongside functionality. The blade includes a partially serrated edge, perfect for cutting through webbing to rescue accident victims. Combined with its convenient cord cutter, even nylon cords can be easily handled.
