Here is the deal, folks. Our Pioneer Arms AK-47 Sporter rifles have been wildly popular. However, the folks at Pioneer Arms don't like to rest on their laurels and since many people have requested an optic ready upgrade they came up with a great solution. The Pioneer Arms Sporter Elite.

Unlike the original Sporter, the Sporter Elite features a factory-installed Picatinny optic rail molded into the rear sight base. This rail is V-notched for open sight use but will also accept all standard Weaver-based Picatinny platform optics. This allows you to mount a red dot sight, reflex sight, standard scope, laser, or any other optic with either a base or rings that will fit a standard Weaver base. Unlike aftermarket attachments, the rail is molded into the rear sight base and is actually an integral manufactured part of the rifle making the mounting platform extremely stable. This provides both a unique look and a unique function to the rifle and is something that no other AK rifle on the marketplace features. All other aspects of the rifle are exactly the same as the original sporter. 

The Pioneer Arms AK Sporter rifles are the final result of a project between Pioneer Arms, J.R.A., and Classic Firearms. Our goal was to be able to introduce a very high-quality A.K. rifle to the market place at a very affordable price point, and I think we have achieved just that. This beautiful AK-47 rifle got its start at the Pioneer Arms factory in Radom Poland with the final U.S. compliance and finished being done here in the U.S. by James River Armory. Rifle possesses the original high-quality Polish receiver, barrel, and many of the typical Com-Bloc characteristics that you would expect from a Polish-based military rifle. However, this is a semi-auto version and contains enough U.S. parts to make it fully 922r compliant. Our friends at J.R.A complete the rifle, so you know the U.S. compliance quality is top-notch.

This Sporter Elite features the high-quality U.S. made Phoenix Technology buttstock with storage compartment, recoil pad, and sling swivel. Also featured is one of the highest quality U.S. made pistol grips on the market. Other standard features include a U.S. made three-piece trigger group, and a U.S. made .45 degree compensator. This incredible rifle will accept all high cap AK-47 mags and drums. Unlike many of the U.S. based Franken-Rifles on the market, all of the rivet work, head spacing, etc... on this rifle is done at the factory in Poland, so the fit and finish are exceptional. This Sporter Elite Comes complete with a one-year comprehensive warranty directly from Pioneer Arms U.S.A. 

The genesis for this rifle began in February of 2018 when Classic Firearms reached an agreement with Pioneer Arms U.S.A. granting us exclusive distribution rights to their latest base model A.K. rifle, which would be produced in their parent factory in Radom Poland.  We insisted on a high-quality rifle that met precise specifications, and this rifle has the same primary receiver components, trunion and bolt carrier group as the select-fire rifles that Pioneer Arms produces to fulfill their numerous military contracts. All structural parts have been tested rigorously to ensure the highest possible quality and long life. This fantastic rifle also features a button pulled, 1:10 twist rifled barrel with a nitride coated bore. Sights are meticulously inspected for proper alignment so you should expect no canting. Gas port settings are properly drilled to ensure smooth cycling action with no overblow or short cycles. Rivet work is triple inspected, and each rifle leaves the plant with a high degree of uniformity from Rifle to Rifle. Beautiful black melonite external finish. 

This rifle carries a full one year refund, repair, or replacement warranty through Pioneer Arms U.S.A.  In addition, the front trunnion portion of the rifle carries a lifetime warranty that follows the rifle. In other words, even if you are not the original owner if there is ever an issue regarding the front trunion.

We have every confidence that the warranty will never be needed as these new rifles have been tested extensively by both Pioneer Arms and our friends at James River Armory, and they have both reported very positive results. Also, J.R.A test fires each rifle before the final packing.

The firearms industry knows that James River Armory will not put their name on anything unless they are satisfied with the final quality, and we believe that the quality on this rifle defies the low price point that we are offering it.

Note - Please know that the Sporter Elite does not feature a sliding adjustable rear sight like the standard Sporter rifle has. Instead it has the optic rail. The optic rail does have a V notch in the channel which allows for use with the front sight for open sight shooting but there is no rear sight adjustment for yardage on this rifle as it is primarily intended to be utilized either at fixed distances or with an optic.
