This is a new entry for us in our AR-15 Upper line and we are very proud of it. In fact, when these uppers showed up at our door all of the warehouse guys gathered round and started gawking at them, and talking about how stylish they were and how cool they look. That always means something here because we are a pretty jaded bunch. AR-15, Drop In Ready Enhanced Upper Assembly 16" M4 Barrel, W / 12" Free Floated Keymod Handguard by Riley Defense. This upper comes complete with Full Mil Spec M16 Bolt Carrier Group, Premium Pro Grade Charging Handle, Forward Assist and Dust Cover completely installed and ready to drop into your favorite AR-15 Lower. It features a 12" Free Floated Aircraft Grade Aluminum Keymod Handguard / Fore Arm as well as an upgraded Shark type Tactical Muzzle Break. The 16" barrel has a 1 in 8 twist and is chambered in .223 Wylde which will readily accept and properly chamber and fire both .223 Remington and 5.56 Nato cartridges. The 1 in 8 twist rate on the barrel is widely considered the best choice for stabilizing a variety of different bullet weights in flight and a Free Floating Keymod Fore Arm / Handguard which should increase accuracy even more. The 12"Keymod not only enhances the upper and free floats the barrel for improved accuracy it also prvides a full picatinny top rail and 7 angled surfaces for attaching any number of keymod rails for a variety of attachment options. The advantage to the keymod over a quad rail is that it provides a relatively smooth gripping surface while also giving the rifle a really cool look. It is also the latest and most adaptable of all AR-15 handguard designs, it is lightweight, and as opposed to the quad rail only adds extra weight at the attachment points when in use.
