The Ruger 18042 is a premium Precision Rifle from Ruger featuring an in-line recoil path. This direct recoil management from the rear of the receiver to the buttstock greatly enhances the rifle's overall accuracy potential. The rifle comes equipped with a Ruger Precision MSR stock, complete with convenient QD sling attachment points, a bottom Picatinny rail, and a soft rubber buttpad for maximum user comfort.
The rifle's stock hinge, styled after AR models, generously accepts any AR-style stock and conveniently folds to the left. To ensure the perfect fit for each individual user, both the length of pull and the comb height are adjustable. Its sturdy 18" free-float M-Lok handguard is expertly constructed from aluminum and provides M-Lok slots on all four sides.
This precision rifle boasts a receiver and one-piece bolt, both of which are precision CNC-machined from pre-hardened 4140 chrome-moly steel for exceptional durability. A 30 MOA Picatinny rail is integrated for enhanced long-range elevation capabilities. The cold hammer-forged chrome-moly steel barrel features a medium contour, 5rd Rifling, and a Ruger Precision Rifle Hybrid Muzzle Brake, with a thread protector also included for protection.
The Ruger 18042 Precision Rifle isn't just robust and accurate; it's also user-friendly. The rifle sports a Ruger Marksman adjustable trigger and an ambidextrous manual safety for ease of operation by both left- and right-handed users. The rifle's magazine well front is contoured and precision machined from aerospace-grade 7075-T6 aluminum, ensuring a perfect fit and feed every time. The interface functions of the rifle's patented multi-magazine are a testament to Ruger's commitment to excellence in firearm design.
