The Ruger 8422 exemplifies precision with careful craftsmanship and an American Flag Cerakote finish. Its one-piece chassis is molded and combined with an adjustable buttstock assembly that is built from glass-filled nylon. This ensures total strength, stiffness, and stability, thereby providing a strong foundation for impeccable accuracy.

The buttstock boasts a flat Picatinny bag rider, making it a breeze to attach a rear monopod. It also comes with a metal QD pocket for secure sling attachment. In addition, the Quick-Fit adjustable Precision Rimfire stock allows for quick and easy adjustments to both the length of pull and comb height. This offers optimal fit for a wide array of shooter sizes and positions. The chassis features molded indicating marks for quick return to a previous position.

Shooters will appreciate the Big-Gun bolt throw adjustment feature, which enables switching from a rimfire 1-1/2" bolt throw to a short-action centerfire 3" bolt throw. This comes along with an oversized bolt handle for guaranteed positive bolt manipulation. The Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger offers external adjustability and a trigger pull range of 2.25 to 5 pounds. A wrench for adjustments is conveniently stored within a buttstock compartment.

The thread protector is factory-installed and covers both the threads and crown. The gun accepts all 10/22 magazines.
