PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The BY03P2 model is a part of Spyderco's Byrd line, an economical counterpart to its premier CLIPIT-line. Despite being cost-effective, the Byrd range does not compromise on design quality, superior performance, and sturdy manufacturing. It stands tall on its own merits, distinct from the main series. The Byrd line is identified by its unique "comet" shaped opening hole. Each knife fits strict quality criteria and is crafted using top-performing materials and techniques.

Byrd knives are made with 8Cr13MoV stainless steel blades. Bearing similarities to AUS-8 in function and performance, 8Cr13MoV is a robust variety of steel. Infused with elements such as molybdenum and vanadium, these blades ensure enhanced hardness, strength, wear resistance, and toughness. The Carbon in the steel intensifies tensile strength and ups the wear resistance. These Byrd knives are available in plain or a combination of plain/serrated edge. The blade steel retains its sharpness with time, making certain a prolonged efficient cut.
