The Spyderco C243FSWCBK represents the culmination of decades of knife innovation and refinement. Since the launch of the groundbreaking Delica and Endura models in 1990, these knives have been the cornerstone of our collection. Both models introduced the concept of a lightweight, easy to carry, single-hand folding knife, and solidified fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) as a preferred material for knife handles. FRN is not only lightweight and sturdy, but also resilient to most chemicals and solvents. Plus, it can be injection molded to craft complex designs, textures, and a spectrum of colors.

Over the years, the Delica and Endura Lightweights have earned a dedicated global following and have risen to become some of Spyderco's most beloved and best-selling models. Having undergone four generations of design improvements, these models have given rise to several variations, boasting an array of blade steels, grinds, edge configurations, and handle hues.

However, we understand that no single knife can cater to everyone's distinct hand sizes, personal preferences or satisfy every region's legal stipulations regarding blade length. As such, based on valuable feedback from our extensive community of Spyderco enthusiasts, we acknowledged the growing demand for a "middle-ground" knife. A knife that inherits all the efficient features and benefits of the Delica and Endura Lightweights but offers an intermediate size. We are thrilled to present that knife, which subtly incorporates elements of its predecessor's names, the Endela.
