Spyderco's C66PBK3, also known as The Centofante 3, boasts a profile that's both thin and lightweight, thanks to its FRN handle. To enhance grip, two channels have been carved from this handle, a feature further emphasized through a stylish inlay of Palladium silver Spyderco bug. Our designers have strategically positioned a back lock midway on the knife's spine for your safety and convenience. To add, a David Boye Dent has been incorporated into its locking lever.
Ensuring a steady hold while cutting, the VG-10 blade, complete with a hollow grind and swedge grind, features non-sharpened spine serrations, more commonly known as jimping. For the user's convenience, a black steel pocket clip has been attached that supports both tip upwards and downwards, as well as right-handed carry.
The VG-10 blade's composition is impressive, a balance between Carbon (C) with a content of 0.95-1.05, Chromium (Cr) content at 13.0-15.0, and Molybdenum (Mo) between 0.2-0.4. Maintaining a level of Nickel (Ni) that is less than 0.25. Mo and Cr create hard double carbide bonds during forging. These bonds significantly improve the corrosion and abrasion resistance of the steel.
The blade's ground surface is concave, a design choice that makes it an excellent tool for fine cutting. Meanwhile, the knife handle utilizes a lightweight yet durable material created by combining a nylon polymer and glass fiber which is then injection molded for optimal stability and grip.
