Speaker 1:
Hi everybody, this is William, Classic Firearms. I just want to continue Ben's introduction here with the Plum Crazy E3 Polymer Lowers. So this is my rifle right here that I built. The vast majority of this has been with classic parts, which I'll talk about in a second. But I do want to talk about the Plum Crazy and the E3. So essentially, it's polymer, and we get a lot of customers that are still on the fence about polymer. They're a little afraid of it because it's "plastic." As I was talking to Dylan before we started this video, MagPole, everybody knows that name, they're polymer. Y'all may have heard of the company called Glock. They're also polymer. So polymer I think is the new wave of the future. Don't want to be afraid of it because it's amazing. It's stronger than aluminum. These have been tested thousands of rounds. They've been tested with drop tests, with being liquid nitrogen, and the aluminum actually shattered and the polymer did not break. So you don't have to be afraid of them. They're impervious to gasoline and chemicals. They've been known to take 500 degrees without melting or warping or distorting. They have a lifetime warranty. Not many companies can say that about their products. This is a great company. The CEO of the company is a shooter. He's very passionate about his product. What inspired me with one of these was having really great feedback with thousands of the customers that have these and hearing nothing but good reviews. So I wanted to build a lightweight rifle, and I've also had the great blessing to be able to talk to the CEO a few times. Sometimes manufacturers will call in wanting to speak to Ben, and I use that as an opportunity to kind of pick their brain a little about their products. And after much correspondence with the CEO of this company, and him highlighting me all the benefits of this product, I decided I was going to make the leap, take the leap and build one of my own. So this rifle right now has about 800 rounds of 223 through it, and probably about 2,000 rounds of 22 through it. I'll explain that in a second what I did. But essentially, it's a great product. It's mil speck. Another great thing about this company is the person who developed the polymer, Lower was actually their original molder. So the person who worked for this company was the developer of the polymer receiver. So you have a company with years and years of R&D and experience building a polymer receiver. They're based off of milled lower, not a cast lower, so all the dimensions, everything is correct and actually reinforced over anything else that the competition has to offer. So I think it's a great lower. It's very light. Like I said, I've had no problems with it. They don't need any lubrication, and I actually find that the trigger pull is actually a lot better than all my other ARs that I have, so it's really smooth, nice smooth brake, and that's pretty much all I got to say about that. And I just wanted to end with what I did with this rifle. This is a classic barrel. If you want to find it, it's an 18 inch stainless steel, and it denotes designated lightweight, I guess you would say it's a lightweight barrel. The rail is from classic, but what's special about this is I got a CMMG 22 conversion kit through this. So the inspiration of building this rifle was two fold. I want to use this in three gun competition, and I also want to be able to introduce my wife to shooting an AR styled rifle platform, and I can let her use a 22 to get her comfortable with the controls, and another great thing about the CMMG is it allows you to train with 22 long rifle, and having all your same controls, trigger pull, red dot, and getting your motor skills built on 22 long rifles, so when you go to 223 you're ready to roll. So, that's pretty much all I got to say about it. I will say, it's a great product. For $100 you just can't beat it. And what I did on this is I did add a little bit lighter stock on here. But they come with a really cool stock, and then I'd mentioned this is the gen two of this lower, and what they did was they pretty much made a nicer stock. It's just much nicer, and a beautiful hand grip with a little trap door on the bottom, and I'm not a huge fan of finger grooves, but I'll tell you what, this is by far the most comfortable grip I've ever felt on an AR-15. I'm definitely not changing that out. This is all made in the U.S. of A. So I appreciate you watching, and that's my two cents on this wonderful product. I would highly recommend it, and again don't be afraid of the polymer. Even though the trigger is polymer, you don't have to be afraid about it because the company does extensive torture tests on these and they're amazingly strong. So if you're on the fence about a polymer lower, polymer trigger group, I would encourage you to make the leap and consider one of these, Plum Crazy or E3 lowers from ClassicFirearms.com
