Speaker 1:
Hey, everybody. Ben with Classic Firearms here. Today is Thursday, July the 13th and we have got a real treat for you today, folks. We have some surplus rifles that came from a private collection earlier in the week. A very nice gentleman from Ohio along with his lovely wife, they actually drove this collection down here to us. We had made a deal over the phone. We had seen some images. We said, "Yes, we want it because we're always looking for high quality surplus." I think you're going to be thrilled like we were to have an opportunity to purchase this. Folks, before we get into it, if you have a collection, large or small, we're always looking for good quality rifles, particularly in the surplus field. Just contact Dylan or myself. Dylan's probably the better one. Dylan your email address is? Dylan@classicfirearms.com. Dylan@classicfirearms.com. That's correct. Thank you very much. Just write him a note, give him a shout, send us some images. We are looking to buy your collection. We pay top dollar. We will make it worth your time. Having said that, Dylan, let's focus on what we've got for the folks here today. I'm so excited to bring these. Come on in and just scan the table. We have a very nice collection that came to this gentleman from the Civilian Marksmanship Program, the CMP. You can see they're all on the original boxes. You can even see where he's cut his address out of the labels, but the original shipping labels from the CMP to him are on there. These are all collection of 1903 or 19A3 Springfield rifles. We have various manufacturers. They're all in really good condition. We're going to start on the end here. Folks, if you see that some of these have their hammers back and the safety on. We have checked all of them. They're very safe. I did that specifically so they would stand up on their bolts. Without the safety on the bolt will sometimes open when we stand it up on that side. I like the profile of a rifle standing up on its bolt. That's the reason for it. Don't call and give us a lecture. We've checked them all. They're very safe. We just had to lock the bolts back by using the safety. Let's take a look at what we've got. These are Remington 1903s. Let's see here. I've also got a 1903A3. We'll show you just a sampling of the condition. The 1903 came along first, folks. Later on the 1903A3 came along. The 03A3s came into development after the grand rifle started being issued. Basically the only difference is the US military wanted a sight that was more akin to the grands so they didn't have to train the soldiers on using two different types of sights. You will see that the sight on a 1903 is up here on the rear receiver, whereas the other sight is set farther back behind the bolt block itself. It's more akin to a grand sight. Now, from a value or a collector's standpoint, we have found very little difference in value between a 1903 or a A3. Both are considered equally desirable and both tend to bring the same amount as far as the value. You will see that all of these have their original manuals that came from the Civilian Marksmanship Program. We have a few different levels. Dylan, if you want to shoot that sign right there, we have one, two, three, four Remingtons. Three of them are 1903. One of them is the 1903A3. The Remingtons are at 1,099.99. We have one Springfield and it's the 1903 configuration. Dylan, I have failed to show the receiver, so I'm going to let you see the receiver there. That is the Springfield, correct? It is. All right. Very good. I'll show you the other side also. These are in beautiful shape, folks. For surplus, they're in issued condition just like they came from the Department of Civilian Marksmanship. They are not refinished, but for non-refinished rifles, they are in very good condition. The Springfield is also at 1,099. Don't pay attention to that pistol mag. I'm using that to prop the bolt up. Dylan, let's come back and show a Remington receiver because I failed to do that. Let's see. Tell me if I have that turned the right way or if I need to turn it the other way. It's upside down, but I think it will [crosstalk 00:04:35]. Okay, well, let me turn it right. I can't tell from the backside of the table here. Got a good shot there? Yeah. All right, so those are the Remingtons. Again at 1,099 and then we take a step up in value. These are very difficult to find, folks. These are the 1903s from the Rock Island Armory. Again, we have two of these. They're both the 1903 configuration. Let me show you the receiver here. Still upside down. Let me turn it around. I'll get the hang of this at some point. Beautiful rifles from the Department of Civilian Marksmanship or the Civilian Marksmanship Program, Rock Island Armories. I have two of those at 1,299. Then probably the rarest of the bunch, Smith-Corona was a typewriter company. Maybe it still is. I know they make technology. We have two Smith-Coronas. These are the 1903 configuration. Do I need to turn this one around, Dylan? You got it. Turn it around? No, you're good. Oh, good. Okay, great. Beautiful rifles, folks. They're all properly head spaced. They're all good shooters. They all come in their original boxes. Those two Smith Coronas are in the 1903-A3 configuration, as we said, at 1,299. Let's move right along, Dylan. We'll come down here. It's a little bit of a change of pace. This is certainly not US government surplus, but it came from the same collection. I wanted to show folks that we will buy your surplus pretty much regardless of what it is if we can buy it at a value. These are some Swiss K31 rifles. They came from the same gentleman. Small collection, I think we have one, two, three, four, five, six, seven rifles, beautiful K31s. K31s are renown for being extremely accurate. They shoot a very high quality round that is very [inaudible 00:06:53] shooting, but typically when you get them, they've seen a lot of use because of the harsh weather conditions over there and many times the stocks are not in really good condition. These are very nice by Swiss Surplus standards. I'm going to show you the worst one. As far as cosmetically, I think this is probably the worst one. You're going to see a little bit of wear here on the butt stock. They tend to stand their rifles up there. When they're doing training maneuvers, they stand them up in the snow and make little teepees out of them. You'll see some wear on the butt stocks typically, but what a beautiful rifle overall. I want you to come in, Dylan, to get the receiver. You see the color's good. You see the Swiss red cross there. Serial numbers on all these match both the bolts, and the receiver, and the floor plate on the magazine. We have some other K31s in the building, folks. They are not near this condition. For this promotion, we are only putting this inventory of seven in the K31 skew, so if you go there right now, you'll see the promotion. It says it's the seven from the private collection. That will be one of these seven guns and we have them at 499.99 for a really high end Swiss K31. Let's take a look at one of the nicer ones. This one's in a walnut stock. It's beautiful. We're selling them all at one money, luck of the draw, 499.99 each. Seven people will buy them. Somebody will get one of each of these guns, but they are just gorgeous at 499.99. Folks, today is Thursday. These will all be posting tomorrow at noon eastern, 12 noon eastern, on Friday. You can come take a look. That'll be your opportunity to buy. As always, we appreciate your business. If you like our videos and want to follow us, just click on here and you can sign up to get it directly to you.
