The Warne Mfg 217LM Maxima QD Rings are equipped with a novel Warne indexable lever system. This feature facilitates the removal and reattachment of the optics from the rifle without losing zero. Additionally, the lever's location can be indexed after securing the rings to the bases. After tightening the levers, pulling out on the lever and turning it to the desired location will let it lock in place.
Strength is provided by the Maxima QD Rings' square stainless steel recoil control key, ensuring a robust recoil engagement surface across the entirety of the recoil slot in the base. This recoil control key assures that the rings will persistently remain in place, even under substantial recoil. It also safeguards against peening or swaging when installed on aluminum bases.
In terms of durability, the completed rings feature the assembly with four high-quality Torx-style T-15 socket cap screws. This accentuates their overall strength and longevity, promising long-lasting usage for the user.
