Winchester WSC4440WU: Winchester unprimed shell cases are engineered to precise tolerances to ensure smooth feeding and positive chambering. This is new un-primed brass for reloading the 44-40 winchester (sometimes referred to as 44-40 WCF) which fits both rifles and pistols. The 44-40 Winchester was a very popular caliber with the introduction of the Winchester model 1873 rifle being chambered in this round. This was the first metallic centerfire cartridge manufactured by Winchester and revolvers quickly began to be chambered in the same caliber.
