The Model 70 Extreme Weather Stainless is crafted with a Bell and Carlson lay-up composite stock that guarantees a secure grip and exhibits slim and feather-light ergonomics. The textured matte finish in charcoal gray not only enhances its tough appearance but also improves grip under challenging conditions. The designed cheekpiece assures apt eye-to-scope alignment irrespective of the shooting angle. The thick black Pachmayr Decelerator pad minimizes the impact felt from the recoil of high-powered magnum cartridges.
Just like all other Model 70s, this one also incorporates a Pre'-64 type claw extractor with Controlled Round Feeding, allowing easy cartridge withdrawal from the chamber at any point after it ejects from the magazine. The Extreme Weather SS rifle features a free-floating, fluted stainless steel barrel that is manufactured in the same factory as U.S. military rifles and machine guns. It also boasts a recessed target crown that safeguards the rifling.
