The Browning 035538288 X-Bolt demonstrates an evolution from previous Browning rifles, featuring numerous advancements that elevate it above the competition. One of the major enhancements is the introduction of a three-lever Feather Trigger, delivering a pure, clean pull, rid of any slack, or creep and overtravel. The X-Bolt has been built with immense consideration for stability and accuracy, with free-floating of the action at the front and rear for consistent barrel to stock spacing.
Further, the X-Bolt is designed to withstand damage with a recessed muzzle crown that shields the rifling. Its Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad is uniquely constructed and utilizes specific materials to ensure a directional recoil deflection. This mechanism draws the stock comb away from your face, reducing the impact of recoil and muzzle climb.
For enhanced safety during chamber checking and unloading, the bolt unlock button and top-tang safety work in unison. The Mountain Pro model comes with a carbon fiber stock highlighted with accent graphics and is treated with a cerakote burnt bronze metal finish. In addition to these features, it boasts a spiral fluted & lapped barrel, and a Recoil Hawg muzzle brake that includes a thread protector.
