After years of PC exclusivity, Ready Or Not has finally released on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The pulse-pounding tactical shooter blends realistic movement with advanced gunplay, providing an engaging and authentic experience for gamers and firearms enthusiasts alike. To celebrate the release, Classic Firearms is sharing our picks for the top 10 guns in Ready Or Not in real life!
Ready Or Not is a spiritual successor to classic first-person tactical shooters like SWAT 4 and Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6, promoting a methodical and slow-paced playstyle over the run-and-gun action set pieces found in modern titles like Call Of Duty.
Players assume the role of a SWAT team leader in the fictional Los Sueños Police Department and have access to specialized equipment, as well as some of the best rifles, pistols, and shotguns available in 2025. The objective is simple: bring order to chaos while preserving the lives of your officers, innocent bystanders, and (if possible) suspects.
Of course, not all suspects will be happy to see you and your teammates arrive on scene. They may run and hide, or take a civilian hostage as a bargaining chip. And some suspects may just open fire the moment they see you, leading to a frenetic gunfight with life-or-death consequences.
Preparation is key to successfully completing each mission in Ready Or Not. From the tactics your team uses to the guns you take into the field, every choice you make will impact the outcome. The good news? There are plenty of options to choose from. Here are the top 10 guns from Ready Or Not in real life.
The Glock 19 is the issued sidearm for LSPD officers and can be upgraded with a Trijicon RMR and a weapon-mounted light for rapid target acquisition and positive target identification in low-light settings. Like its real-world counterpart, the in-game variant is extremely reliable and offers a good balance of accuracy and shootability.
Purpose-built for CQB, the MK18 platform is the starting rifle in Ready Or Not and serves as an exceptional general-purpose option for new players. Military and law enforcement personnel favor the MK18 for its maneuverability and high degree of customization, as it is an excellent suppressor host and features plenty of rail space for optics and accessories. Daniel Defense also offers a pistol variant for civilians who do not wish to pay for an additional tax stamp.
The Heckler & Koch MP5 is one of the most iconic submachine guns ever created. Its compact size and roller-delayed action quickly made the MP5 a favorite of SWAT teams and covert units around the world. In-game, the MP5A3 is ideal for clearing tight spaces and navigating narrow corridors where suspects may be lying in ambush.
Due to its mass appeal and pop culture status, Heckler & Koch introduced a semi-auto variant of the MP5 called the SP5. This soft-shooting PCC is the perfect addition to any gun collection and is great for shooting suppressed.
For those who prefer the hard-hitting .45 ACP, Heckler & Koch's UMP45 is the obvious choice. The .45 ACP cartridge is naturally subsonic, so the UMP45 is incredibly quiet when paired with a suppressor. Plus, its low recoil impulse makes it incredibly effective for chaotic close-quarters engagements.
Referred to in-game as the GA51, Heckler & Koch's HK51 is a more compact variant of their roller-delayed battle rifle chambered in .308 Win / 7.62 NATO. This is our go-to primary when selecting a loadout for a mission with armored, heavily armed suspects who may need a little extra convincing to surrender before they can be arrested.
The FN P90 was originally conceived as a lightweight, compact PDW capable of defeating body armor and has enjoyed extensive service with law enforcement personnel and elite military units in dozens of countries. As in real life, the P90 in Ready Or Not is the optimal choice for engaging armored suspects in settings where a long gun may not be viable.
Fielded by many real-world SWAT teams, the Heckler & Koch 416 is available to LSPD officers in game as the GA416. This rifle is based on the proven M4 carbine and utilizes a proprietary short stroke gas piston system for enhanced reliability. If you're looking for immersion, it doesn't get much better than the GA416. And if you're looking for a great "do-everything" rifle, you can even own the semi-auto version, the H&K MR556, in real life.
The LVAW is a compact yet potent carbine chambered in .300 Blackout and optimized for suppressed shooting. Designated the LVAR in Ready Or Not, this rifle is perfect for CQB and can be outfitted with an EOTECH optic and an IR laser for use in daytime or nighttime missions.
For players roleplaying as a solo patrol officer in the 1980s, Ready Or Not has just what you need. The .357 Magnum (modeled after the iconic Colt Python) is one of the most effective sidearms in the game and packs a mean punch. It's a lot of fun to use in the introductory mission "Thank You, Come Again" in which the player responds to a gas station robbery. Moreover, it's one of our favorite revolvers to shoot at the range.
In terms of sheer firepower, it's tough to beat the Benelli M4. This tube-fed semi-auto 12 gauge shotgun features an innovative self-regulating gas system and can reliably cycle a wide variety of shotshell loads. What more could you want? Whether you're kicking in a door or clearing an open courtyard, the M4 shotgun is an excellent choice for you and your teammates.

VOID Interactive, the developers behind Ready Or Not, really did their homework regarding authentic weapons handling and tactics. The models look great, the animations are realistic, and each gun has its own unique feel. The tense yet rewarding gameplay is complimented brilliantly by the thoughtfully curated firearms in the Los Sueños Police Department's arsenal.
We think they nailed it. If you're a gun guy (or gal), you'll appreciate the attention to detail and variety in this game. And if you want to see how these firearms handle in real life, don't forget to check out our video below!
