Brutus' Description

Wow this ammo sure is expensive. We know it is. In fact, it is so expensive that we really wrestled with whether to even acquire it and offer it or not. In fact the last time we attempted to offer this ammo, at the price that it currently demands, a lynch mob formed with sticks and pitchforks and threw tomato's at us and called us bad names.

Everyone has sticker shock at what this ammo currently sells for and we are no different. Believe me, we wish we could still buy it for .14 cents/ round and sell it for .15 cents / round, but alas , those days seem to be over. . The truth is this.... Yes, the price is high, nobody knows that better than us... we have to buy it by the pallet and we pay a mint for it and then keep our profit margin very low just to be able to make this ammo as affordable as possible for those who need it... and a lot of people need it.

We have been out of this ammo for a while because we simply refused to pay what it currently cost to get it... but we are bombarded with request for it as so many folks have weapons chambered in this caliber and need ammo for those guns. As such, we decided to carry it and let the customer decide if they want it or not. At least the option is there.

Having said that, the saving grace here is that this is really good ammo. The Romanian was always top of the line in this caliber with no hard primers or concerns. It is 80's production, Sure-Fire, and very flat shooting and accurate. Corrosive of course as all of this caliber surplus is but cleans up easily and is typically not a concern in the weapons that fire this round.

There are 72 rounds in each commercial box and 17 boxes in a Sealed 1224 Round Tin.

One last observation. I have talked about price a lot because I thought it was warranted. But now lets talk about performance. Unlike 9mm , .40 caliber , or other pistol rounds, the 7.62 x 25 round is unique and more fun to shoot than just about anything out there. It roars like a lion, throws a flame that is quite impressive and draws attention from others on the range. It is basically a shortened rifle round and as a result shoots faster and flatter than virtually any pistol round out there. I love to shoot this round and even at this price, to me the thrill of the performance is worth it.

Great out of Yugoslavia M57
Review by uswg01 on 9/19/14
Quality
This Romanian Surplus ammunition ran flawlessly in my Yugoslavia Zastava M57 pistol! Better velocity when compared to similar ammunition from Prvi Partizan (See Video). All of mine came with a 1983 head stamp, is very very clean considering its age (looks brand new), and is packaged very well. My only complaint, obviously, is the price. Unfortunately this stuff is impossible to come by, and I'm confident Classic is keeping the price as low as they can for us, and simply has no choice but to pass on their cost to us. I only bought a few boxes, as I wanted mainly to compare it to other ammunition that is available on the market. If I had to order again (or buy more in the future), I'd eat the cost and just buy a whole tin, as I feel it is better than all the other 7.62x25 I've put through my M57, including newly manufactured commercial ammunition. Thanks for finding this for us Classic!

I prefer this ammo over current production. It has more kick and more flames coming out the barrel! order process is easy, fair price, and quick shipping. I live 10 minutes away and really really wish they had a show room, or at the very least, the ability to pick up orders at their location!
Outstanding!

This is great ammo for my Tokarev! 72 rounds shot thru it flawlessly. The gun felt great (and has an exceptional trigger) in the hand and the ammo is really great. Couldn't be happier with it.
couldn't be more happy

First off I would like to thank the classic firearms for going out and looking for this great clean ammo made in 1983. I'm happy and it's is bit pricey but you have to do what you have to do. Plus I bought my yugo m57 about 1 year ago and during that time there wasn't any ammo available. I just happend to look and there it was. I'm going to see how it shoots and works. I'm sure it will be great and the packing was great for ammo all the boxes was bubble wraped. One box was busted and I counted all the rounds just to be sure and all 72 was there. Like I said thanks agan JOHN
