Constructed from lead-free copper, the superior Barnes TAC-XP bullet provides enhanced penetration through flesh and bone. To ensure that the shooter's vision remains unimpaired after the initial shot, Buffalo Bore uses a flash retarded powder in these loads.
In smaller cartridge casings such as 40 S&W, 9mm, 380Auto, 357 Sig and so on, there is a drawback as these long-for-weight all copper bullets occupy valuable and limited powder capacity. This requires Buffalo Bore to reduce the bullet's velocity. Nonetheless, the benefits of these Barnes all copper bullets outweight such disadvantages for the majority of applications.
