This Firearm Will Go Live on The Site for Sale at Noon E.S.T. on Monday Dec 8, 2025. Beautiful Chinese Made Norinco Paratrooper SKS Rifle - I have had this rifle in my safe since the early 90's. I don't remember exactly where I got it or who I got it from, but it is the only one I have ever seen in this exact configuration. It is a paratrooper carbine with a 16.5" barrel. That in itself is not unusual, but it has a slate gray parkerized finish and a black bolt which is pretty unique. In addition, it has a see-thru scope mount on it which allows you to use either the open sights, or the scope by simply lifting your head a little, and an early Leapers 4x25 short scope specifically made for the SKS. This rifle was imported by K-Sports Imports in California and is nestled in what is a very rare original K-Sports Forest Green polymer stock. This is one of the most comfortable well-balanced gun/stock combos that I have ever shouldered, and I almost kept it due to it being one of my favorite firearms. But then I thought, I haven't shot this thing in 30 years so why not let someone else enjoy it. Condition is As New, and the bore is exceptional. Unfortunately, I do not have the original receiver cover. I bought it this way, and I'm selling it this way. But the scope mount receiver cover fits tight with no wobble, and this is an excellent shooter.   SKS rifles have always had a special place in my heart as they are what got me started in surplus, and this is a wonderful, rare example of a very nice one. I have been proud to have this rifle in my collection and I'm sure that you would enjoy having it in yours. The rifle ships bubble wrapped for maximum protection. All sales are final on this rifle. This rifle requires a full FFL for purchase. The back story. Over the last 30 plus years in the gun business I have acquired some really nice surplus firearms. These guns came from Gun Shows, private collections, and private individuals that I have met along the way, as well as, on occasion, what I would deem as the best of a particular lot when it came in here to Classic. Well, all good things must end and at this point in my life it is time to downsize a little and that includes letting go of some of these "Gun Safe Queens" that I have typically only pulled out to clean ever so often. Now don't get me wrong, there was a time when I would not have even considered giving up one of these firearms as they have been very special to me. However, my daughters show no interest in inheriting them, and I've decided that I would rather see them in the hands of folks that would relish them, than to have them to continue sit in a dark safe here at Classic. Each gun from my private collection is unique and they will sell individually by serial #, so when that gun is gone, it is gone and irreplaceable. At least from me.
