This Firearm Will Go Live on The Site for Sale at Noon E.S.T. on Monday Dec 8, 2025. Beautiful Chinese Made Norinco SKS Rifle - I have had this rifle in my safe since the early 90's and it was one that I had cleaned up (removed the cosmoline from) and fired. It is a gorgeous prime example of a Chinese SKS rifle. These rifles were banned from import in the early 90's and have risen in value ever since. This one comes complete with its folding spike type bayonet. It also comes with an original canvas sling. This rifle looks virtually new inside and out with a beautiful and well-matched wood stock and handguard, and a pristine, like new, mirror bright, chrome lined bore. It was imported by Century Arms in 1990. In those days certain batches of the new production SKS's would come with the serial number starting with the year of production. This one has a serial # of 9000061, meaning it was the 61st rifle off the line in 1990 for this particular factory. The serial numbers match on the receiver, bolt and stock. however, there are no serial numbers on the magazine or trigger group. It does have a milled trigger however and a heavy screwed in full lug barrel which most SKS experts find most desirable. You can see both of these features highlighted in the images. Matching serial # of 00061 is also stamped in the buttstock. The stock has one minor cosmetic flaw on the top left-hand side right at the butt end. It has about an inch and a half spot there where it has a dark discoloration, almost as if it had been exposed to heat.... but it doesn't detract much from the overall beauty of the rifle. I'm sure that I could have done a quick refinish on that spot since it is very surface, and probably made it match perfectly. However, it has never bothered me much and I figured it wouldn't bother whoever buys it... as long as I disclosed it, which I just did. Comes complete with cleaning rod, bayonet, and canvas sling. SKS rifles have always had a special place in my heart as they are what got me started in surplus, and this is a wonderful example of a very nice one. I have been proud to have this rifle in my collection and I'm sure that you would enjoy having it in yours. I have fired this rifle and can verify that it functions properly and is 100% intact. The rifle ships bubble wrapped for maximum protection. This rifle has been represented here through images and description with 100% accuracy as I know it and if you are not comfortable buying it based on this information Do Not Make the Purchase. All sales are final on this rifle. This rifle requires a full FFL for purchase. The back story. Over the last 30 plus years in the gun business I have acquired some really nice surplus firearms. These guns came from Gun Shows, private collections, and private individuals that I have met along the way, as well as, on occasion, what I would deem as the best of a particular lot when it came in here to Classic. Well, all good things must end and at this point in my life it is time to downsize a little and that includes letting go of some of these "Gun Safe Queens" that I have typically only pulled out to clean ever so often. Now don't get me wrong, there was a time when I would not have even considered giving up one of these firearms as they have been very special to me. However, my daughters show no interest in inheriting them, and I've decided that I would rather see them in the hands of folks that would relish them, than to have them to continue sit in a dark safe here at Classic. Each gun from my private collection is unique and they will sell individually by serial #, so when that gun is gone, it is gone and irreplaceable. At least from me. If you no longer see this rifle in inventory, you will know that it has sold. See more about the rifle below.
