I first came aware of Fostech when I met them at a trade show in late 2016. They are still under warranty, are fully covered for function by Fostech, and will be perfect for your build, but Fostech insist that we sell these with this disclaimer. It seems they are still not quite satisfied with the shade of the coating of a few pieces in this batch and as such we were able to purchase the entire batch of these and offer them at a discount. Do not let this stop you from ordering. The folks at Fostech are perfectionist to a fault and what they somehow see as minorly flawed we see as perfectly fine. In fact we have inspected these very closely and they look perfect to us. In fact many of our staff members have built rifles on these same uppers with no refinishing and would challenge anyone to find the blem. Maybe we simply don't have the microscope that they are using. Honestly we would not sell them as minor blems based on what we are able to see because we just don't see it, but we do have to honor their request. Having said that, you can trust me on this folks...we have sold hundreds of these with no issues or complaints from customers and everyone has been completely satisfied.
