Freedom Ordnance FX9R16-FDE: What an amazing rifle. The FX-9 ( Freedom Xtreme 9mm ) carbine is a modified AR-15 platform firearm with several advantages over a standard A.R.- PCC. When Freedom Ordnance designed the FX-9 their goals were Reliability, Affordability, and Familiar Controls for the user. As such, the FX-9 has a standardized set of operating controls making it very comfortable and user-friendly for the avid AR-15 shooter. It accepts AR-15 stocks and buffer tube assemblies, as well as most free-float AR-15 rail assemblies. The FX-9 is machined from billet material and the billet receivers are over 1" shorter than standard AR15 receivers giving the rifle a lighter, more compact, and more modular design than most other AR-platform rifles. The FX-9 comes with an AR-15 Configured Last Round Bolt Hold Open Device, an Oversized Recurve Charging Handle, a Fluted Muzzle Enhancer, a 16" 4150 Chromoly Steel Nitrided Barrel with a 1:10 Twist, a 15" Freedom Ultra Slim M-LOK Rail - Anodized Type lll Aluminum Components, AR-15 Configured Safety Selector - AR15 Configured Magazine Release - and Steel Components That Are Full Hard Nitride. The Barrel Is Compatible with 9mm Approved (1/2x28 t.p.i.) Muzzle Devices and Suppressors - Action: Blowback - Accepts most AR-15 Accessories. This rifle features a Mil-Spec buffer tube and incorporates a premium grade 6-position UTG stock from Leapers. The Caliber Is 9mm (9x19) NATO. The FX-9 is Glock Mag compatible and all factory GLOCK or aftermarket Glock type 9mm mags will work with this pistol.
