The Great Lakes Firearms GL15223SSBORG is a semi-automatic weapon with no ambidextrous safety. It features a 16 inch barrel with a 1:8 twist, and made from either 416rd stainless steel or 4150 Chrmov Nitride. It carries threads of 1/2 x 28 in measurement. Compatible with .223 Wylde caliber enabling it to shoot both .223 REM and 5.56 NATO.
The firearm is equipped with M4 style feed ramps and a Cerakote finish for extra durability. The frame material constituted from 7075-grade aluminum. The gas system consists of a 0.750 gas block that features a black oxide finish and carbine gas tube.
The GL15223SSBORG comes with a mil-spec polymer grip and a 15.25 aluminum 6061 grade handguard featuring a full picatinny rail. With a magazine capacity of 30 rounds and one magazine included in the package.
The muzzle brake is included and has been designed to be tightened at 6 degrees forward without the need for Loctite. The firearm does not come with sights preinstalled. It features a reliable mil-spec trigger with a 5.5-6 lb pull force.
The upper part of the firearm is also made from 7075-grade aluminum. The gun measures 33.25 inches in overall length and weighs approximately 6.8 lbs.
