What Makes The Beretta 92 So Special?

The Beretta 92 embodies all the qualities a combat handgun should have: exceptional ergonomics, supreme reliability under adverse conditions, low recoil impulse, and an intuitive manual of arms. Moreover, the 4.9" barrel and smooth trigger pull allow even the humblest of marksmen to put accurate shots on target with rapid succession. 

A frame-mounted safety / decocker lever allows the operator to fire the pistol in double or single-action mode, and provides an extra degree of protection when re-holstering. The wide ejection port virtually eliminates ammo-related malfunctions such as failures to feed or eject. Plus, with 15 rounds of 9mm on tap, shooters have plenty of firepower to stop the threat.

Beretta 92 Variants

While the original Beretta 92 and its successor, the 92FS, are the most well-known members of the 90 family of pistols, there are many options available to suit the preferences of different shooters. The 92G is a decocker-only variant for those who wish to carry a pistol without a manual safety, and the M9A4 adds a number of modern features such as optics compatibility.
