Quality

I just received my kit today. I was wondering why it was taking a bit to ship, but it was worth it. The parts smelled like hoppe's 9 and I didn't have to spend time cleaning them. The wood looked fantastic and loved the look of the metal for the rest of the parts. This is really a great deal

The kit I received is absolutely beautiful. The wood was near perfect, slight dings that I steamed out with ease.
All numbers match. The parts are blued, the bolt and carrier are polished, 1966 vintage. The barrel is also very nice and cleaned up with ease which I blued to match the original parts. Extremely pleased with this purchase. I uploaded a photo, don't know when it will show, so you can see for yourself (picture shows wood, barrel, and most parts). Thank You Classic Firearms.

For those of you sitting on the fence thinking about buying or not convinced with the reviews on this kit so far, let this be the one that pushes you over! To begin, the kit I received is matching. I got the kit within 3 days after receiving a shipped email. Also upon inspection I will vouch for Classic Firearms that the kit does come with all parts needed and then some, even all the pins needed which I think is usually the parts that are missing. The barrel is brand new in the white & greased, profiled, and has the gas port & handguard pin slot drilled out. Recieved oiler, complete cleaning kit, cleaning rod, 2 magazines, & even had couple pieces of white cotton cloth that probably came with the gun when it was imported. Of course, there are cons with this, but I think they also can be pros depending on the person. The issue I can find if I had to nit-pick would be the fact that the kit DOES show signs of use, wood shows dings and gouges, finish on the metal is worn in some areas. To some this is great because the gun was used and some see it as being "been there, done that". Also I guess for some would like if it had the original receiver stubs and barrel, but this I sure is of no fault of Classic, its just how the current laws dictate and how the kit was brought in the country.

Overall, I'm very happy with I got in this kit. I personally think kits like these at the price Classic is asking is hard to come by. With the right tools on hand, you are still coming out ahead cost wise building your own by $100 or more than a prebuilt one. Plus you get the satisfaction of making you own gun.

Boy oh boy, the Kit I received is the absolute best Parts Kit I have ever bought (over the years, there have been six different ones...). This one appears to be unissued AND all the stamped serial number parts match. The only slight negatives are some very small dings to the wood furniture and a bit of missing finish to the butt plate, so no biggie. The two mags are 'used' but in good shape and the pouch is a "veteran" but still intact and usable.

ALSO, I want to give a big Salute to the CF Customer Service Team; anytime I have had an issue, they have all been very responsive, helpful, and they get the job done. Big Thanks and KUDOS to Amanda for handling my last little problema.

When I ordered the Polish kit, I was excited but days went by and they didn't send me any notice so I emailed them they promptly replied that they had an issue with my order and we were able to resolve it but they should have told me that they had a problem instead of me asking and plus because of this it took a week to ship. That's why I gave it a four out of five. The polish parts kit in the other had was amazing, almost in perfect condition with oil and crud to clean. All the parts were wrapped in wax packaging paper. Overall the kit was a nice investment and is worth your money to buy one.

I have shopped with classic many times now and am never disappointed. This part kit is very nice and all the wood furniture I received was in awesome condition and looked sweet.

I received the kit a day or two ago and have sat down to start the build. My only gripe is that there was not a "parts ledger" included as stated in the description only a picking ticket and an invoice. I am missing some pins such as the ones to mount the trigger frame.

I know buyer assumes all responsibility as they stayed but it would be great if Classic could at least let me know where I could acquire the rest of the pins for the rifle. All other parts appear accounted for and some are already partially assembled. I just can't do the build without the required pins.
*I have fully unraveled and unfolded all paper and bubble wrap as well as triple checked each zip lock baggy the other parts were in. I have also triple checked the box and the tube the barrel came in. I also checked through the mag pouch and its contents*

I will still shop with classic but am slightly disappointed as they said everything was checked by their staff and I am missing some pins.
