The Ruger 18029 Precision Rifle is designed with an in-line recoil path which proficiently controls recoil starting from the rear of the receiver to the buttstock, ensuring the potential for optimum precision. The rifle comes with a Ruger Precision MSR stock equipped with QD sling attachment points, a soft rubber buttpad, and a bottom Picatinny rail.
The rifle's left-folding stock hinge can be connected to an AR-style buffer tube and is compatible with any AR-style stock. Another notable feature is the adjustable length of pull and comb height to provide comfort and versatility to users.

The rifle's barrel, a cold hammer-forged chrome-moly steel piece, is characterized by 5rd Rifling, medium-contour, and a Ruger Precision Rifle Hybrid Muzzle Brake. It also comes with a supplied thread protector.
Other salient features include a Ruger Marksman adjustable trigger, an ambidextrous manual safety, a magazine well front expertly machined from aerospace-grade 7075-T6 aluminum and patented multi-magazine interface functions.
