Ruger RUGGUKP95DC: A blast from the past; these Ruger KP95s were found in an old warehouse, and from the ones we have looked over, they are a fantastic example of mid-90s polymer wonder nines. Minimal holster wear and clean, bright stainless steel slides are standard with this batch of P95s. The frames on these handguns were state-of-the-art fiberglass-reinforced polyurethane modeled with straight-line grip texture that is unlike anything on the market today. Instantly the classic two-tone stainless and black look stands out among the sea of black plastic guns and is one of the simplest handguns to operate. This model of the P95 series was double-action-only. Meaning this handgun has no safety or hammer but only operates by pulling the heavier double-action trigger. This operation was considered in the past to be the best operation under duress as there was no safety to slide off, and you had to be deliberate with your shots. This was an option that many police departments used as they believed it would prevent negligent discharges and minimize collateral damage. Now the consensus is more training and keeping your finger off the trigger until you're ready to fire. This seems to be a better thought process, but these older handguns are still a lot of fun to shoot at the range and still reliable enough to use as a concealed carry. You would be hard-pressed to find a better American-made classic defensive handgun for the price. These ship with one 15 round magazine, and some will ship with an original plastic case, but most will ship in a cardboard box. We cannot guarantee which you will receive.
