We acquired this small batch of pistols from an overseas police trade-in lot and are proud to be offering them to you. The Sig P228 handgun is a compact version of the wildly popular P226 family. The P228 sits exceptionally comfortable in the hand. Its checkered polymer grips, and its metal design helps to mitigate the recoil tremendously. This pistol features a robust forged carbon steel slide and forged aluminum frame making it relatively lightweight for an all-metal firearm. Another great feature on the P228 is a generous magazine capacity of 15+1, which is respectable for a compact pistol. Other features on the pistol include a de-cocker and slide serrations. These fine pistols come standard sights. These pistols have been rated NRA Surplus Good, so expect to see some varying degrees of wear. We are offering a Hand Select option on these pistols if you would like us to select the best of 10 when we go to ship your order. NOTE: There is mix of Made in Germany and Made in W. Germany in this shipment. We did not add this as an option as there were too few of the W. Germany marked guns to justify this. So, it will be luck of the draw as to which one you get. Also for importation purposes, there was a marking that needed to be removed for these to be imported. The marking was ground off which left a small, exposed metal spot on the frame of the pistol. We have included images that show examples of this.
