Swiss Luger Model 1906,1906/24,& 1929 Luger Pistol, 7.65 Caliber Semi-Auto, 4.75" Barrel 8rd - Manufactured by Waffenfabrik Bern in Switzerland and DWM in Germany for the Swiss Military. One of the rarest and most desirable of all the Luger model pistols, the Swiss Luger is a Cadillac among handguns. The intricate toggle lock action demonstrates the refined machining and accuracy of Swiss firearm manufacturing; and the design was revolutionary - among the first semiautomatic designs adopted by a major military. These pistols fire the original 7.65 Parabellum round, also known as .30 Luger, rather than the more well-known 9mm Parabellum that would be later adopted. This round is basically a necked down 9mm round that fires a lighter .30 caliber projectile at a flatter trajectory and a higher rate of speed. Privi and Fiocchi continue to produce this round, as do some other manufacturers. These are graded NRA Surplus Very Good to Excellent and all of the ones in this particular group are in very similar condition. A really nice lot of surplus pistols. All are 100% functional, will make great shooters and very collectible pieces of history. Very small quantity available. Now - more about the history and make up of this amazing group of pistols.... The Swiss adopted three different versions of the Luger pistol. The M1900/1906 was manufactured by DWM in Germany. The M1906 and 06/24 saw DWM continue to produce pistols but the Swiss added production of the 1906/24's in Waffenfabrik Switzerland as well, and began native production on the 1906/29's exclusively at Waffenfabrik Bern, which will be marked "Waffenfabrik Bern" in text on the toggle lock. For all practical purposes ( other than manufacturer stampings)  these 3 models are so similar that it is hard to tell the difference and we are selling them all under the same SKU...  but if you do have a preference, we have broken them out by model and manufacturer below. We only get these in sporadically and they are getting harder and harder to come by. NOTE: Only the 1906 models have an included holster and they can be had for a $100.00 upcharge under the Custom Options. These are limited so act quickly if you would like a holster with your Luger.
