Taurus PT-940 .40 S&W Pistol In Blue Steel/Alloy w/ Rubber Grips. 10+1 Capacity, 3.6" Barrel Length, with 1:16" twist rate. - Factory Blemed
Huge savings on this pistol due to minor cosmetic blemish! See extended description for full details.
Take the key features of our Taurus 92 series pistol and wrap them into a package that is 20% smaller and 20% lighter and you have the essence of what these medium frame pistols are all about. Engineered with Taurus' drop hammer forged steel slide and forged ordnance grade alloy frame with three-position frame-mounted ambidextrous safety that allows for a classic SA "cocked-and-locked" mode, as well as functioning as a DA decocking lever. Chambered in the popular .40 caliber, the Taurus PT-940 offers big firepower in a size that's just right for a variety of carry needs.
Taurus provides a loaded chamber indicator on all new compact, medium and large frame pistols, which in no way interferes with the operation of your pistol. It gives you an "at-a-glance" verification that there is a round in the chamber, as the ejector pops out of the slide exposing a red strip just behind the ejection port. While any loaded chamber indicator is no substitute for common sense and safe firearm handling, it is one more example of Taurus' commitment to outstanding firearms. What do we mean by Factory Blem These all come in Taurus factory boxes marked Factory Reconditioned. The only thing refinished about this is that when they blued the slides they blued over a small factory imperfection on the top of the slide just beside the loaded chamber indicator. The imperfection is a factory flaw on this particular run when one of the milling machines got slightly out of spec. Frankly, because of it's position on the slide and since it has been blued over, it is difficult to even notice unless it is pointed out or compared to a firearm without this indentation. We show a close up of the "blem" in our images above. The picture will represent a worst case scenario which is a small groove about 1/8 inch or less in length and maybe a millimeter deep in the metal at the edge of the chamber indicator. We were offered these at a special price and considering how very minor the flaw was we considered it a no brainer. It's like buying one of those refrigerators at the scatch and dent sale, saving huge money, and never noticing the flaw. Some of these pistols appear to have been display or demo models, with minimal signs of use. These pistols still carry the full lifetime repair policy from Taurus, with the exception of any warranty for cosmetic issues due to the imperfection described above. Don't miss out on this very special opportunity to save big money on this really nice Taurus deal.
