Video: Product Spotlight AMD 65 Parts Kit

Hi everybody. Matt from Classic Firearms customer service. I'm coming to you with another spotlight, this time on our AMD parts kits. I have one little girl and then another on the way. So Father's Day is incredibly important, and there's nothing better for Father's Day gift than being able to spend some time with your dad and maybe get a little project done. So with that in mind, we wanted to highlight our AMD parts kit. These parts kits come with practically everything you need to build an AMD AK-47 type rifle. So you can see it's got a complete forward assembly that's got the trunnion and the barrel already put together. As well as the bolt [inaudible 00:00:58]. Here are all the parts which you're going to put into your receiver, including the rear trunnion and folding stock. Now one thing that you will need to keep in mind, is that there are going to be some parts that you're going to need to buy in addition to the kit. So of course the first thing is the receiver. The receiver's the firearm. And without the receiver, we can send this directly to your home. So you are going to have to purchase the receiver. That's the main box that holds all these parts. That is legally a firearm all by itself. Another thing we recommend is replacing the fire controller, the hammer disconnector trigger that come with the kit, because these are the original fire control groups, and therefore they are designed to work in a fully automatic capability, and we don't want anyone getting in trouble for accidentally going too far and building a fully automatic rifle. So we recommend buying a commercial after-market semi-automatic only fire control group. Such as the CMC fire control groups that we sell. These are just a couple of the options. I think we have more on the site. This one has more of an AR-15 style trigger, and this one has the more curved, more AK-like trigger. So these are going to give you a little bit higher performance than some other components, like say if you just defaulted to the Tapco kit, and we think that you're going to have a greater shooting your gun, with these extra components here. Parts kits come to us in these bags. And one thing to keep in mind is that there can be small parts missing. A great example, there might be a small spring or something that you don't find in the kit. That's the chance, and we want you to know that before you purchase the kit, but again, it'll only be a small part. What you see on the table is representative of what you should expect in the kit.
