All models come equipped with either a 384288 or 640512 twelve micron infrared detector and a 1024768 Oled display for improved color rendering. The Sidewinder thermal sensors also come equipped with the most sensitive temperature ratings in its class coming in at sub-20 millikelvin across the entire product family. Other improvements over the Taipan monoculars include a more robust body/housing and a removable rechargeable 18650 battery.
