Brutus' Description

These historically accurate rifles are not only beautiful, they are are also functional, accurate and tough.
Manufactured to the highest standards of quality and workmanship these rifles are both a pleasure to shoot and a pleasure to own.
Absolutely identical to a brand new, U.S.- G. I.issue M14 rifle in every way.

These 7.62 caliber M14 rifles are manufactured utilizing newly manufactured Rock-ola brand U.S. made forged receivers. Machined from 8620 Forgings these receivers are considered the finest in the industry. Also features a brand new U.S. made Military Coutour Chrome Vadium Barrel, and Grade A,  U.S. surplus M14 parts set.

Stocks are brand new original walnut  and even feature the original cartouche markings as well as the cut away for the selector switch.

These rifles are as new and look just like brand new M14 rifles direct off of the U.S. production line. They are beautiful. Each rifles comes complete with 20 round mag, sling, and owners manual. Absolutely the closest thing to an original Military issue M14 rifle available on the market today.

Our warehouse manager Ernie retired as a lifer from the U.S. Marine Corps and he has fallen in love with this rifle. He gives it his seal of approval and we do too.

From the manufacturer. This small exclusive group of rifles is built from what is probably the last known lot of M14 parts sets of USGI origin. These parts have become extremely expensive and very difficult to obtain. The M14 was only produced until 1964 when production was cut off in favor of the M16. This rifle was phased out of service by the early 1980s only to be pulled out of storage for the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts because of its reliability and hard hitting 7.62 NATO caliber. The vast majority of the M14s originally produced have been either been shipped overseas or more recently actively destroyed by our own government leaving less  less than 10% of the production in US inventory today. It has been 20 years since any parts were released to the civilian market and it is doubtful that there are any original parts either metal or furniture left for further release.

James River has built these rifles using their Rockola forged semi-auto receiver, and a brand new barrel and unissued bolt with the entire rest of the rifle consisting of original USGI parts. These are available with the standard 22" barrel with military flash hidder. All stocks are excellent refinished early production
as issued. Very limited quantities available. Classic Firearms is the sole and exclusive distributor of this fine rifle.

Nice M14 clone
Review by Rob on 11/26/2016
Quality
Ordered the original configuration model with the 22'' NM barrel. Rifle was shipped very quickly and had it at my FFL 4 days after ordering it. Haven't had a chance to get it to the range yet but first impressions are positive. I'm pretty discriminating when it comes to the M1A/M14 platform as I was issued a beautiful 1962 TRW as my first duty rifle for my LE agency. The forged Rockola/Bula receiver seems well made and finished. The Bula Defense Systems bolt(somewhat disappointed that it wasn't fitted with a GI bolt) and NM barrel(appears to be chrome lined unlike the original GI NM units)seem well fit and finished, headspace is right on the money.

The trigger group is pristine TRW with a nice 6 lb. two stage break. The op rod is HRA and is re-parkarized to match the receiver and barrel (dark black park, not the beautiful battleship grey hue of my TRW). The stock is USGI walnut with relatively crisp cartouches and a nicely oiled finish(still added a couple of coats of linseed oil to get it just right). Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase so far and will reserve final judgment until I get it out to the range and shoot it.
Straight out of 1964

This is an absolutely beautiful semi-auto only reproduction of the classic M14 rifle. If you're looking for an M14 that looks like it's straight out of 1964, this is it. Forged reciever, new barrel, bolt & stock with USGI internals. Also comes with a Checkmate 20-round magazine, the current military-issue standard. The rifle functioned flawlessly out of the box.
