The Runnin Iron is a finely-balanced, lightweight, and efficient single-action pistol, specifically crafted for the art of Mounted Shooting. This exquisite design is the brainchild of mounted shooter and renowned Wild West entertainer Denny Chapman, in collaboration with third-generation Wild West showman and proficient gunsmith Deke Rivers. Years of expertise of these cowboys in black powder blank shooting under extreme conditions have gone into its creation.
The Runnin' Iron stands out with its low and broad hammer spur, wide trigger, and a walnut grip designed in a checkered gunfighter-style. It also features improvements like a second-generation transverse cylinder pin latch, a crescent-style ejector rod, a reduced-power spring kit, along with extra clearance at the cylinder's front and rear. These attributes contribute towards making the Runnin' Iron the most lightweight and efficient mounted shooting weapon available today.
This deluxe edition takes the model a step further with additions like custom tuning, bespoke hammer and base pin springs, a trigger pull calibrated at three pounds, and distinctly cut, positive angles on all triggers and sears for a sharp action. Moreover, it also includes a coil-loaded hand and a wire bolt.
