SHOT Show 2026 Day 1 Kickoff

The Classic Firearms crew opens SHOT Show 2026 floor coverage with Jason, Eliza, Ryan, and Matty Ice back in Las Vegas. They mention an earlier range day, described as day minus one, where they were able to shoot and film industry day content. Tired from travel and filming, they still push into day one, part one of the show. The team talks about booths they are eager to visit, including Griffin Armament, Strike Industries, Franklin Armory, High Point, and Zastava. They set the tone for the episode as a walk-through of new products and technology on the show floor, then transition to their first stop with Holosun to look at the latest optics and accessories.

Holosun Arrow Evo optics and IR laser lineup

At the Holosun booth, Adam explains that the company has roughly 36 to 39 new SKUs this year, including new rifle optics. He introduces the Arrow Evo and Arrow Evo Dual, which are about 30% larger than the current Ames and sit between the Ames and Ames Max in size. The Arrow Evo Dual integrates both an IR laser and a visible laser, aimed at night hunting uses such as hog hunting. A similar configuration is offered for those who prefer a T2-style mount, also with dual visible and IR lasers. These laser units use a CR123 battery mounted on the side to handle the higher power demands of the lasers.

Holosun Iris Arc illuminator and compact 3X magnifier

Holosun adds the Iris Arc, an IR-only illuminator designed for users who want illumination without an integrated laser. It has a slim, pen-like form factor and mounts on standard scout mounts, so it works with common industry mounting solutions. A tactile slider control, carried over from the earlier Iris design, is emphasized as easy to use with gloves in cold conditions. Adam also shows a new compact 3X magnifier, a shrunken version of their existing magnifier. He notes that it works well on platforms with limited rail space, such as Tavor bullpup rifles, where a smaller magnifier helps keep the overall package manageable while still providing 3X magnification behind a primary optic.

Holosun 17 Pro Max, 507/407 Comp, and EPS Core

Holosun’s competition-focused lineup expands with the 17 Pro Max optic. Adam describes it as an evolution of the performance reticle system, offering all the familiar reticles in a larger viewport for better target visibility in competition. It uses an RMR footprint and includes solar backup. The 507 Comp gains a larger sibling, and Holosun also introduces a 407 variant with a simple 6 MOA dot only, responding to requests for a clean, single-dot option. Another key product is the EPS Core, which combines the smaller EPS Carry-style base with a wider glass window. This design gives shooters a compact footprint with expanded viewing area, and it is available in versions including a 3 MOA-only model.

Holosun Ames Macro and Micro enclosed pistol optics

Adam then covers the Ames Macro and Ames Micro enclosed optics. The Ames Macro is a fully enclosed optic sized for pistols but also suited to PDW or PCC use, using the 509T footprint and offering the familiar Holosun reticles and battery system. It is roughly 36% larger than a 509, giving a more generous window while retaining compatibility with existing 509 footprint setups. The Ames Micro is a smaller version that uses an Acro-style footprint. It is slightly shorter than a typical Acro, leaving some space at the front, and secures with a crossbolt rather than relying solely on lugs. Adam notes that many users had requested an Acro footprint option, and this design addresses that demand while maintaining enclosed-emitter durability for pistol and carbine applications.

Kimber 2K11 Comp and 1911 DS Warrior overview

The team moves to the Kimber booth to speak with Everett about new pistols for SHOT Show 2026. Kimber highlights the 2K11 Comp, offered in stainless and black finishes. This model features a new proprietary carbon fiber and polymer grip infusion, giving a distinct grip module compared to the traditional aluminum grip and the MJD grip used on some stainless models. Everett explains that the 2K11 Comp is priced around $2,499 MSRP and does not ship with an optic installed, unlike the classic Coyote model, because many buyers prefer to choose and mount their own optic. Kimber also introduces the 1911 DS Warrior, a double-stack 1911 that keeps a traditional design approach while incorporating the new carbon fiber grip matrix.

Kimber DS Warrior and 2K11 Comp features and availability

Everett presents the 1911 DS Warrior, noting its standard bushing barrel, internal extractor, ambidextrous safety, and full beavertail. It uses the new carbon fiber grip and offers a 15-round flush-fit capacity in 9 mm. The DS Warrior is also available in 38 Super, 45 Auto, and 10 mm. He emphasizes its pricing, with a 9 mm version at an MSRP of $1,099 and an expected street price just under a thousand dollars. The 2K11 Comp is shown with its carbon fiber–infused grip module and an integrated compensator. The barrel is hollowed out near the front, with the threaded portion stopping short of the port, creating a compensating cavity built into the barrel and slide. Everett states that the DS Warrior is scheduled to ship February 1, while the 2K11 Comp is already shipping.

CCW Safe post-incident legal coverage segment

The video closes with a segment on CCW Safe and the importance of support after a defensive engagement. The narrator explains that carrying a firearm requires confidence, but real peace of mind also involves having legal and critical response assistance afterward. CCW Safe is described as providing access to expert legal staff and a critical response team that can come to the member in a time of need. Coverage is said to extend during and after the legal process, with backing from former local and federal officers and former prosecutors who understand the system. The segment references a case involving a man named Steven, suggesting that without CCW Safe’s involvement, he could have faced a murder one charge, underscoring the value of post-incident legal protection.
