Premium grade U.S.-made pistol barrel for the Israeli Galil pistol. Perfect for build or replacement. These are the same barrels used by various known manufacturers for their commercially produced/reproduced Galil variant pistols. Barrel is 13" in length and is manufactured using 4150 Chrome Molly Vadiium with a 1 in 7 twist. Threaded to the proper dimension to thread into original Galil pistol receiver patterns. The barrel features a m13x1 RH thread pattern on the compensator end to accept all standard Galil muzzle brake configurations. Beautiful black oxide/parkerized finish.
Please Note - Unlike AR-15 barrels, Galil barrels thread into the receiver and are tightened to a specific recommended torque rate. As such, the gas port and gas tower pinholes, are not pre-drilled. Nor is the forearm retainer slot pre-cut on the barrel. As is common to assembly on Galil's, these actions are typically taken by the builder once the barrel has been installed in the receiver, to ensure proper alignment and avoid any issues with timing. Also, note - there are two common pistol versions in this length for the Galil. One is a 13" SAR length barrel which is set up for the non-bayonet lug and SAR Gas Block which is slightly shorter than the bayonet lug version. For this barrel to be compatible all that would need to be done is to lathe back the barrel journal just a bit to accommodate the larger gas block model of that individual kit. We always recommend that these procedures be done by a professional gunsmith.
