Brutus' Description
We are so proud to offer this high quality AMD-63 variation AK rifle with original FEG receiver. Rifles are professionally finished and feature a new U.S. made barrel and highly desirable Tapco G-2 trigger group. Our Side Fold ( AMD-65 Versions ) all feature the original wood or polymer grips while our Fixed Stock ( AMD 63 Versions ) all have the black polymer grips with U.S. Made Buttstocks.
Note : These rifles are built from original surplus part sets. Metal components have been professionally parkerized to a like new finish however grips and forearms are original and may show some rub or finish wear. Trust me though, overall these are nice.
Built to our specs from original AMD 65 parts that originated from original high cap rifles ( No receiver cut opens ). This means that the bolt, bolt carrier, etc.. were made to handle double stack mags. The heavy wall receiver is marked with the original FEG markings. They are well built using a new U.S. made barrel, with the gas port, front and rear sight blocks aligned carefully, assembled and then the entire assembly is parkerized. Each rifle is tested with a variety of mags prior to shipping.
This is our Type II Variation with the Phoenix Technologies Stock and it comes to us with 1-30 round mag and so that is the way we ship it. However twenty round mags are original to the AMD rifle due to the front vertical grip making the 30's a little difficult to insert and extract... 30's will go in and out but must be maneuvered around the forward grip. However, you may also want to purchase a 20 round mag with this variation.
The AMD series of AK rifle is lightweight , accurate, and highly maneuverable along with featuring what is probably the finest AK muzzle break ever designed. Very limited quantities... Get yours today.
Note - This sku is our type 2 rifle. Our type two rifle utilizes a Phoenix Techologies Polymer Buttstock while our type 1 rifle utilizes a Tapco Butt Stock.
The type 2 ships with a 30 rd mag only. Otherwise these rifles are virtually identical.

Good quality, Good price, Fast shipping
Review by Robert on 3/11/16 -
Gun is of good quality. It was delivered only 4 days after I ordered it. My only complaints would be that the handguard is slightly loose, but I'm replacing that anyway. Also the tapco magazine that comes with it is extremely loose in the receiver. I haven't had a chance to try a different mag, but I believe it's the mag not the receiver. This weapon is well worth the price and I would highly recommend itQuality -
Just what I was hoping for. Impressed.

100% flawless rd after rd the first 100 rds through 3 30rd Tapco mags. Used some old Wolf HP bought years ago and new Wolf FMJ.Quality
The Tapco trigger assembly is pretty sweet for the AK too.

Diamond in the rough
Review by Jason on 1/29/16 -
Picked this rifle up today and immediately changed out the grips. The stock ones are just something that you either love or hate. Stripped her down and everything looked great. The muzzle break seems lose though it appears pinned but idk enough about it to know if this normal tolerance or not. I'm gonna contact classic on that one. Tapco mag seems extremely sloppy but regardless she chewed up 30 rounds.....I couldn't help myself. Probably should of waited to c if the muzzle break was dangerous. Oh well u only live once. Overall a solid starter ak variant for 500$ the lop seems a little short for my arms but that's an easy fix. Can't wait to blast some innocent 2 liters or pumpkins.Quality -
Outstanding AK47
Review by Robert on 1/17/16 -
At first I was a little skeptical about purchasing this weapon, but after doing some reviewing on YouTube and reading about it I decided to pull the trigger a get one. Glad I got it when it was $499.99 saved some dollars. Right out of the box the weapon looks really nice. The only issue was the cheap looking front and rear hand grips..they don't look good on this weapon at all. I removed the front hand guard and grip with a knew Mission First Tactical polymer grip and the rear hand grip with a Hogue rubber grip. Now it looks much more tactical and AR like. The barrel and receiver are well built and functioned flawlessly. I took the gun to the range yesterday and fired 40 rounds through it without any issues. The Tapco magazine that comes with the gun worked like a charm. Lastly you if want to add optics to the gun I recommend purchasing a picatinny rail that goes from rear fixed sight over dust cover to buttstock. This way you get the scope closer to your eye. Overall I love the performance of this weapon so far and recommend it.Quality -
Great AK , Better customer service
Review by Joe on 1/17/16 -
Just got the gun, more then I expected. But the real story behind the scenes is that I need this rifle for a class on firearm safety and active shooters that will have Ninety participants . I was really concerned about getting it in time for the class. I called classic and they said hold on let me check for you. When they came back on in 30 seconds I was told not to worry they were going in right now and pick it and get it shipped today. They did and I got the rifle two days later with time to spare. You guys are the BEST!!!Quality -
Great AK
Review by Jimmy on 12/28/15 -
The Hungarian AMD 63 so far has been a great rifle. I have put about 100 rounds through it and not 1 hiccup. If you are considering an AK don't pass up on this one. I have added a UTG stock and a UTG rail kit. Make sure if you order a rail kit you order the one for a AMD 65 because that is the parts kit Classic Firearms used to make this rifle. I would definitely recommend this rifle.Quality -
Great value
Review by Jeffery on 9/2/15 -
Nicely put together rifle. The bolt action seems smooth. I have not been to the range yet, The only negative thing I have to say is the rear grip was a bit beat up and the way the lower hand guard/grip fit into the reciever is a bit wobely. I put a Magpul Zhukov stock and rear grip on mine. If you want to put some kind of optics on this know that the gas tube is NOT standard length because it's built from the shorter AMD 65 parts. I found 1 company making an intergrated tube and mounting rail for this rifle. to be added soon! I might change out the lower as well for somthing that feels a bit more stable. All in all a great value for an awesome looking rifle!Quality
