Well what can I say.... we've done it again. And believe me, it was no easy task Several months ago we were extremely fortunate to be able to offer a very small lot of Original Belgian Made Browning Hi-Power pistols and the response was amazing. We knew that they would be popular but the demand far exceeded our small supply and that lot sold out very quickly. The calls however continued with people literally begging us to find more. Well, we called in every favor and left no stone un-turned in pursuit of more of these and I am happy to report that the results were positive. We are so proud to be able to present this small new group of surplus Browning Hi-Powers. The pistols sold under this SKU are the Browning MK III Hi-Power. The MK III was introduced in 1988 and was the standard until the Hi-Power was discontinued in 2017. Features unique to this model include the following. The MK III features Dovetail sight front and rearAmbidextrous SafetyBlack epoxy finishSpur hammerVast majority have original black thumb rest grips. Overall the median quality on these is NRA surplus Good. However, we also have some graded out as Very Good and some as Excellent, which are available as custom options. Expect some carry wear on the Goods with less on the VG and Excellent grades but they are all mechanically excellent. Base price is for the Good Condition with an upgrade available for the Very Goods and Excellent. A note to collectors - These pistols did not require a re-number and all maintain their original factory serial #'s .
Our original ad from our previous batch - What A Find, What A Find, What An Incredible Find - When we first learned of this rare opportunity to acquire some Original Belgian Made Browning Hi-Powers I was beside myself. This pistol was considered one of the most advanced models of its day and was the springboard that brought handgun technology into the 21st century. Not only that, but these Hi-Powers were manufactured in the original Fabrique Nationale Herstal factory in Belgium. In fact, they feature the original F.N Herstal Belgium factory stamp as well as the Browning patent stamp right on the slide. From what we have seen most serial #'s appear to match but we simply don't have time to break each one down to verify. The actions are amazingly smooth and the single-action triggers appear to be just as crisp as the day they were made. The barrel crowns are all in good shape and as with all Hi-Powers, the manual safety locks the hammer in both the half-cock or fully cocked position.Finish wear varies of course from gun to gun with some showing more holster wear than others but none are really bad cosmetically and all are in excellent mechanical functioning condition.Note - While the pistols are all original F.N Browning manufacture they are Law Enforcement Trade-In guns and some of the grips may have been replaced reflecting the preference of the original officer who carried it. The vast majority are still original Hi-Power checkered or thumb rest style grips.Don't miss this rare opportunity to own a piece of firearms history
